Does anyone have a pic of CT in his Gauntlet 3 days with the shag hair? :curtsey:
MTV still has photos up from Gauntlet III on their website.
CT did his best against Tyler. Tyler's always had tremendous endurance & decent strength but he's definitely increased both since the last time we saw him on Gauntlet 3; he was like 25 or 30 pounds bigger than when he lost to Frank in a tough battle.
The reason CT was able to do what he did against Johnny Bananas was because Johnny only weighs like 185 pounds and is several inches shorter than CT. Once CT got him in that position, Johnny was S.O.L. because his legs were way too far off the ground for him to have any chance at regaining his center of gravity.
Townie how much does CT weight now? On Derrick's podcast he and Tyler thought he was around 225. Also, is he shredded or just bulked up at the moment? It was kinda hard to tell during his appearance. Just curious.
Does anyone know what cast members felt/feel CT should not be allowed to participate on another challenge? (If this has been answered before & I missed it, sorry!) I remember Rachel saying that, but it's been mentioned as if there are many people that felt that way & I was just wondering who... Personally I would LOVE for CT to come back, he absolutely makes the show as far as I'm concerned! And Derrick needs to get CTs pocast up ASAP, I am anxious to hear what all the beast has to say!
Yes, it was a stalemate but when they were done CT was way closer to his barrel than Tyler was his. That's all I was saying. And also, do you think Tyler would've quit if he was closer to getting to his own barrel, I doubt he would've. Tyler knew he was further away from his own barrel than CT was his and they weren't going anywhere so Tyler probably said the heck with this I'm done.
But like I said Tyler put up a heck of a fight vs CT and that in itself is somewhat of a victory and a huge blowout victory over Johnny so congrats to him for not getting thrashed like Johnny and for giving CT a match.
I agree. Also, since Tyler quit, how is it a stalemate? Stalemate means an even draw when Tyler quit, so Tyler lost and nobody should dispute that fact.

Amen to that .
Tyler didn't toss around nobody in the Gulag with CT and he did in fact LOST by quitting after 40somethin minutes.

How about we bring a simple fact to the discussion?
The task as stated by TJ was to knock over the barrel OR last longer then one's opponent. It wasn't a competition against CT, who was nothing more than an active prop for the producers in this instance. Tyler lasted longer than Johnny; therefore, Tyler remained in the game. Personally, I think anyone who, with knowledge of the rules of the competition, calls that "losing" may be in serious denial of reality.

Yes, we KNOW Tyler beat Johnny.... but we're just talking about the head to head with CT and Tyler and Tyler lost to CT but he didn't lose to CT near as bad/quick as Johnny did and that was the name of the game. Neither CT or Tyler got to their barrels but CT was closer to getting to his barrels than Tyler was his and Tyler then quit.
The only reason this whole thing was brought up was because Tyler said on the Reunion that he threw CT around... like he beat CT, which did not happen.

You are inferring a meaning to Tyler's comments which he didn't say. You should ask him about it on facebook.

So you're saying he didn't say that on the Reunion ?? I could've swore I watched and heard Tyler say "I tossed around CT's big ***... you don't think I can toss you around Johnny ? " and if it wasn't exactly that, it was close to it.

It was edited, and in the edit, one completely loses the context of what he was saying. What I suggested is that rather than debating a segment of a highly edited TV show -- one of the longest reunion taping in years -- that you ask Tyler directly via facebook message if your understand of what he said is correct. I'm not going to make a Facebook account just to ask one question to which I basically already know the answer to. You say it's edited fine I definitely believe you... but what Tyler said is what he said, there's no getting around it unless there was more to the conversation... which is the only thing it could be.
Tyler - "I tossed CT's big *** around !!" If that's edited.... what are they (editors) doing adding in fake voices ? I understand there may have been more to the conversation, but Tyler still said that...

And if he said it, then what? Of course he was exaggerating, but still his performance against CT was amazing, so why insist on one half-serious sentence at the reunion? He was probably mad at Johnny during that moment, and said it out of heat. Geez.

I agree with you.
P.S. I've given big time props to Tyler for giving a great performance, if you read back just a couple of pages or maybe less you'll see it.

Well, the reason there's so much damn confusion on the topic is because i dunno if this was an intended purpose by MTV, but the people on the show really made it seem like Tyler beat CT. Watch the after show episode 9, Laurel states TWICE that Tyler beat CT. You need some sick editing skills to make that look that real that smoothly. Couple that with Tyler's outburst on the reunion and you've crafted a reality out of a lie.
Tyler's performance was awesome and no one wants to discredit him for that. But he still lost to CT and if Adriann wants to clarify it for others who weren't entirely sure who won more power to him

Yes, I totally agree with this. Best post in this thread on this subject. ^^^
Does anybody know if CT and David Burns still keep in touch? They seemed really close on the Inferno 1, I know that was like 8 years ago but still, it's interesting to hear if they do or not.

They were together at the Real World Awards Bash so I'm guessing that they're still friends.
Tyler did not beat CT. The only time during their Gulag where he ever did anything was when CT was preparing to stand up with him like he did with Johnny and Tyler got him off balance a bit and turned him on his side.
People asked him on his FB account and CT came right out and said outright that he beat Tyler. You could easily tell at the end when Brad said "good job guys" or whatever it was that he was yelling to the far end of the Gulag, which would've been the end that CT had to drag Tyler to.
[strike]the ct podcast is up on the derrick and kenny site :)[/strike]
The CT podcast is up on Derrick and Kenny's podcast.

I'm from the Boston area and had a hard time understanding what he was saying half the time. But that was hilarious when he told Derrick he was going to give him a Boston Crab then put him in his suitcase. Interesting that CT says he weighs 210. He looks a lot bigger than that on TV.
Eh, I didn't think it was any more or less awkward than the other podcasts, I just think CT's the kind of guy with a chip on his shoulder and is therefore very direct. Every other podcast, while nice to listen to, seemed friendly to a fault. Everyone agreed with everyone and it seemed like the host(s) and the guests were trying real hard to not ruffle each others feathers. It's like they were afraid to disagree with each other. There was no evidence of that in this podcast, and to some degree, this podcast served as a sort of parallel for the challenges: the hosts were trying their hardest to contain CT, but as with the challenges that has never been an easy thing to do. Nothing wrong with a little conflict in these happy-go-lucky podcasts, in my opinion :)
