I liked Nick and Vicky till this episode, but after Nick gave up I lost respect for him. I still like Vicky though. I know people are rooting for the doctors, but I want a male/female couple to win, just to spite production. It's obvious they wanted a femal team to win this one. They put 3 really weak male teams and really weak couples teams and they amped up the women.

Is final 4 always a NEL? I think it was in the previous 2 seasons as well.

Nick is such a wimp. Anyways, the description on U-verse made it seem like more than 2 people got sick. I'm going to have to watch this more often this season.

Nick barely even tried this detour and they never attempted the other one yet they just get to take the penalty and go on to the next leg? How come when Maria and Tiffany tried over and over again switching back and forth between both detours they got eliminated and they just moved the NEL to the next episode? What makes Nick and Vicki so special?

The NEL's in each season aren't always the same. I'm sure they wouldn't have moved it just because they couldn't finish a detour. My guess was that it was already set in stone which leg had the non-elimination.

Note, when the first two teams arrived at the pit stop, Phil never said "You guys are in the final 3!" So this was always planned to be a NEL as I'm sure they would have made a much bigger deal about the first two teams going into the final leg.

They have to plan for a certain amount of teams at all the tasks and to make sure there is room on flights they will need to take.
