If Wes was giving up why would he act like how he did? To make mandi feel better? Since when has be cared about others feelings? Everyone knows that he was spent. His little act was just that, an act.
I would like to correct myself. Casey & Wes beat Tonya & Johnnie, not Eric & Katie. So I suppose that gives them another good win.
Yet Casey and Wes had the least weight of luggage and [I believe] Tonya and Johnnie had the most, outweighing them by more than 100 pounds...
Actually, I just looked them up, here are the weights:
-Tonya: 147, Johnnie: 106, TOTAL: 253
-Katie: 92, Eric: 124, TOTAL: 216
-Derrick: 94, Diem: 121, TOTAL: 215
-Theo: 83, Chanda: 103, TOTAL: 186
-Shane: 88, Linette: 83, TOTAL: 171
-Tina: 107, Kenny: 57, TOTAL: 164
-Melinda: 101, Ryan: 55, TOTAL: 156
-Danny: 103, Ev: 47, TOTAL: 150
-Darrell: 69, Aviv: 71, TOTAL: 140
-Johanna: 59, Jesse: 74, TOTAL: 133
-Wes: 56, Casey: 57, TOTAL: 113
People like Casey and Katie aren't horrible to bring to the final, they are so light any of the guys and some girls can carry them. They can also prove to helpful (somewhat) in different challenges. Katie got the puzzel for the Road Rules team which ultimately led to the win. Also, they will be well rested that half way through, they could actually give 110% to compete in something.
Do you know why they got behind in the first place? Because of Mandi. Evelyn said that Mandi struggled in the first part of the race, which eventually made Wes think that they were too far behind to even have a chance. Evelyn said that she did not agree with what Wes did, but could see why he did it. Despite "giving up", Wes and Mandi still had the second fastest time in that exile out of EVERYBODY. Evelyn and Luke were #1, but Wes and Mandi still outperformed Evelyn and Luke's first run when they had gone against Paula and Jeff.
They didn't fall behind because of Mandi, they fell behind because they took too long on the very first puzzle. They both said on the reunion that had the first puzzle gone differently, they would've won. Ev finished every puzzles within 30 seconds and Wes and Mandi took much longer to do. And Wes and Mandi both admitted that even when he quit, they both still felt they had a chance. This pretty much goes to show that even though Wes thought he could still win, he chose to give up anyways.
I agree with you, but still, Mandi and Wes both said that they still thought they could win when Wes quit, and that was what made Mandi so mad. It wasn't the fact that Wes just blatantly gave up because they were behind, it was the fact that Ev and Luke were so far ahead right from the first puzzle and Mandi and Wes both knew they still could've won, then Wes still gave up instead of completing the comeback, that made Mandi so upset. Had he continued to push his hardest, it would've been close.
I know it's your opinion, and I respect that completely, and I also agree that it takes a lot to put up with what she did. But I, personally, world still consider Casey the worst competitor ever lol. All Casey had to do in most of the exiles was run/walk, which she did pretty well, but Wes did the carrying, the puzzles, and the yelling. You're right, she didn't give up, but there wasn't much for her to do anyways so giving up would've been just completely pathetic. The whole reason I don't think she ever got mad about going in was because the Austin cast was targetted from day one and she knew she'd be going in until she went home. It just so happened that the cards fell their their favor and they ended up doing well. Just my two cents though.
I actually like reading different opinions, because you did make some valid points. The second she was chosen by an Austin cast member, particularly Wes, she was doomed to the exile. His mouth was the reason she was in there as often as they were. But, he did help keep them there, too. Although, Whistler is a challenging mountain to run, even just on the paths and there's quite a bit of incline up there. It's not a straight run, as if you were on a track. I'd put Casey above Carley, though, and even cast, like Katelynn and definitely above Brooke, who in my opinion, would get worst competitor.

If it makes you feel better to think that, then go for it. But it's your vision of a limited TV edit against Evelyn's word, somebody who was not only present at the challenge, but at that particular EXILE as well.

Not according to Evelyn. She wrote her piece AFTER the reunion aired to give more specific details on what happened.

Did Tonya end up going to the hospital on the Gauntlet? I remember her walking in with a cast, and Nathan made a comment... But I am not sure if the on site paramedics just gave her one.
Sorry to bring up old discussion, but I was just looking back through the thread for something else and came back across this. I'd just like to add that Jenn went to the hospital on the Duel 2 with her shoulder. She was told to go home but she stayed and ended up in the Duel that day anyways.
I forgot all about this and now I think it's interesting, especially with them having been teammates on Cut Throat and Katie not being happy that Jenn was running the show.
Everyone thinks that I just want to discredit Wes' wins but all of you Westophers believe there will always be a reason to as why he lost and will continue losing. His losses are always out of his hands and not his fault... right.

Perhaps you should look at the mirror and take a look at your own distorted self before mouthing off and quickly labeling others as biased or "Westophers". Frankly, I don't care much about Wes or who would win in a face off between he and Evan. In fact, I believe Evan would beat him in most physical competitions, but that doesn't change the fact that you are still ignorantly misinformed about the events that went on in that particular exile. You are wrong, it is as simple as that, and your obvious knee jerk reaction in labeling anyone who calls you out for it as a "Westopher" not only solidifies how scarily obsessed you are with Wes, but how extremely defensive you are when somebody doesn't share your crazy views on how Wes is the worst player in the game.
So go ahead and continue having a hard on at the thought of Wes being unable to complete the exile. It obviously helps you to sleep at night. But the fact of the matter is, in the real world, Evelyn's take on the exile > yours.

Now, to the productive and non-uptight Vevmoers, biggest castmember change between a castmember's season and their challenge careers? Mine- Jenn:yes:
The first one to come to mind is Paula. Big change from Key West, but I feel as if she's also changed over her challenge career as well. I would also like to think that Ty got crazier and more of a d-bag in just the small amount of time from DC to the challenge. That's all I've got for now.
All of you, stop right now. If you can't be nice to each other and engage in conversation without insulting each other, don't say anything. Your insults are doing nothing more than fueling the fire.

I agree with Morris's pick with Jenn and yours with Paula.
Eric Nies went through a big change from his original season to where he is now and where he was on his last challenge, if I remember that far back.
Abram changed a lot from his season on Road Rules, too, in what looks like a big way.
Brooke changed A LOT. She went from being kind of crazy and trying to love on a gay guy to being kind of crazy and loving on a gay girl. That's a big change.

Very true though. I think the thing about Jenn was that on Denver she came into the house right from being an Oakland Raiderette, so I didn't think she was gonna be all crazy and as athletic as she really is. But, she was my favorite on Denver and after the Inferno 3 I didn't think she was gonna do many more challenges. Now, I love seeing her and hope she doesn't quit, though recent news says she's doing pretty well outside of MTV.
I agree with Abram as well. Though his little stint on VR made me see the SP Abe, on Cut Throat and the Island he was very mellow (minus some bees) and now he's got Cara Maria, a children's book, and other things going for him.
I really don't believe that at all. That's a total cop out. Although, lets say he did give up. He gave up because he was so far behind. If he was as good as he thought he was, he wouldn't have been so far behind.
^^This. is. very. true.
Wes has an ego, you think he wants so flat out admit he lost? LOL Yeah right, like that's going to happen.

Jenn's easily in the top 3 of my favorite girls from the shows. I never thought she was half as insane or as much of a party girl, as it was shown on Denver. Denver definitely had one of the prettiest seasons. She's become more grounded, it seems. I do hope she does at least a few more challenges before she retires. The same with Paula.
He did VR, as in THIS VR? The Island kind of changed my opinion of Abram a bit. He seemed to be playing up to the cameras more and more interested in promoting his job, instead of participating. After the comments he's made, I don't see him coming back either.

Sorry, I meant VR as in Road Rules: Viewer's Revenge where he got kicked off (again) for punching Adam.

Apparently the Island was Abe's favorite challenge, he wasnt promoting his job it was his reason for leaving.
Aneesa from real world chicago said via ustream that she may be on the next challenge but then said she couldn't reveal any details and we'll hear from her soon.

Very interesting, hope it's true and I hope it's a big challenge.
Ooh, having Aneesa on a challenge is usually a good sign of things to come XD Hopefully the cast list for the next one will be a bit less predictable than a few recent ones (Fresh meat 2 for instance...)

To have a good time is cool and all that, but based on the 2 different types of Exiles, there's no way you can fairly equate everyone and put Wes and Mandi above. Not sure if that was what you were trying to do, but I'm just saying.
Cuz personally, I think the mountain exile looked 10 times tougher. If you were trying to compare W&M to Evelyn and Luke, then I see your point.
Putting Carley in a group with Casey and Brooke is just not fair, Casey and Brooke are horrible.
Hmmm, I personalyl wouldn't put Carley so far down, but she won't be that far up either. She'd be close to the bottom, IMO, Eric is two times than her. I could see why the person would put her there though. I think their point was that even though Wes had to shout at Casey, he didn't need to grab her or put his head up her butt. She was still able to complete and hold her own..... albeit not as fast as Wes wanted her to.

I kinda agree, I mean, if Wes won, he won, like he's good at swimming, ok. But if he lost, accept it, he lost, don't try to make excuses for his lost when he lost fair and square. I personally think Wes is good, but he isn't THAT good, I mean, even in challenges, he's boarder-line horrible. (as in FM2 when Kenny and Pete was struggling for an hour, then still beat him.

Is it just me, but anytime I see Jenn or hear of her, I always remember her season where she slept with that guy (Alex?) then made the statement (to her boyfriend I think) that to her, kissing is more romantic/means more than ***. I never understood that.
Anyway, besides that, I like Jenn, she's loudmouth and that makes her seem tougher than I think she is. That's a good strategy.

Wes may not have had to literally push Casey up the mountain on FM 1, but they were already in last place. There was no need for him to push her up. Landon and Carley, on the other hand, had something to lose if they went any slower.

Not just in the final, but also in the exiles themselves. Carley got really tired and spaced out and Landon had to help her out, while Wes didn't really help Casey. As I said before I wouldn't put Carley down there with Casey, but I understand the other person's point. It's a valid one.

That's what I meant, yeah. I don't remember Wes having to slow down and drag Casey around, like Landon did with Carley and Casey & Wes were in the exile regularly, unlike Carley & Landon. Carley couldn't have handled multiple exiles in a row, like Casey had to. Casey also stepped up, supported Wes in trying to help him keep Johanna out of the exile, which I thought showed a lot of character. I wouldn't put Casey much higher, but she wouldn't be in my top 5 worst list either.
