Great recap jhl,
So Tyler had to go against Derrick right after he went against Johnny/CT? So what was the Tyler vs. Derrick gulag?
Loved the recap. I don't understand why production has become so strict with these shows. I mean it doesnt take a genius to realize that if they act that way, they wont get older cast members. Maybe they dont care? Also, I agree with Abram about the cast getting less and less interesting and intelligent. I think that's sad. They used to cast people that were all very smart and had interesting stories. The only season I can think of recently that was "old school" was Brooklyn. Starting with Las Vegas, things just went downhill. I think its sad that my generation expects people to fight, hookup, and run around naked in order to be entertained. Or maybe I'm not the demographic for the show anymore? I'm 23, so do the aim to please the high school kids?
Okay, help me understand. Tyler beat CT & Derrick in a gulag??? And Camila should have been on the stage.
Wow, GREAT recap jhl!
There was no communication to the outside world. Johnny has a girlfriend and couldn't call her or anything! They couldn't even call home! In order to send an e-mail the cast would have to write it out on paper. Production would read the letter then re-write how they want it to then send it.
I think Johnny um...managed...without his girlfriend just fine.
Speaking only about the complaining part, jeez, were they on a television game show or in jail? The part of the soccerball was ridiculous.
Loved the recap. Loved that Laurel proved her strength in the final. I didn't like bringing in Easy, but glad to know that later,t they were kinda working it out quietly. Seems like this is really kinda boring or repeating, but I will still watch it and I'm sure they will take out some of the boring parts. It made me hate Tori and Brad less and not like Camila so much (and wow, said something derogatory to Brandon... classless). I think it was so ironic that 1) Paula screwed over Brandon and Camila and loses before the final and 2) Abe tells Laurel that he wants to see her strength, he heard big things and he haven't seen it, then she carries him in the final. Good stuff. A bit disappointed in Sarah and Abe though, but good to know that Cara did will/ok in the final.

Um..have you watched Cutthroat? Camila!
I see what Abram and Derrick are saying about the older challenges. And really Abram can speak on that best because I don't consider Jenn, Paula, or Johnny's early challenges among the best either. But Abram was on the challenges during their peak IMO with the Gauntlet and the Infernos. And he's right, the people they cast on there were much more interesting, intelligent, and funny. It seems like the Fresh Meat 2 people were cast based on shallow reasons. Take Theresa, she is not interesting or intelligent or funny in her confessionals or dailies. Seems like she was cast because she told production she would try to hook up with the veteran guys on Fresh Meat 2. Coral, Veronica, Rachel, and Tina were all smart girls and capable of being entertaining. Why can't we get more females like that on the show? Compare them to Mandi, Laurel, and Theresa and...please.
Lol that sounds pretty far fetched and laughable to be honest.
I think it seems right on point. Thats the only thing she has done in the past 2 seasons.
Lol that sounds pretty far fetched and laughable to be honest.
Name 1 other thing Theresa has added to the show... I honestly keep forgetting she's still there.
I think it seems right on point. Thats the only thing she has done in the past 2 seasons.
I agree. She was probably looked at as attractive, will definitely be trying to hook up, while not completely sucking athletically.
I think it seems right on point. Thats the only thing she has done in the past 2 seasons.
I really doubt she said to a casting director "ill hook up with 2 guys to be on this show". And who has she hooked up with on Cutthroat? And to be honest..almost everyone who hooks up on this show.

There's also a good chance that they asked her if she was single as well. Single attractive female with an athletic history who may also be able to bring a little bit of drama here and there...perfect. And to be honest, what I just described could also be used to describe some challenge greats, Jodi is who first came to my mind.

But Jodi and Theresa don't even begin to compare athletically. I personally think Theresa is incredibly overrated. Had I been in the blue team, I would have voted for Theresa before I voted for Emily.

Theresa has only done team challenges but in her and any other rookies defense you haven't seen her individually compete so how can you compare? Also in the bottleneck stampede she was ahead of everybody except for one or two people.
I was just wondering if there was any animosity between Laurel and Abe?

They all basically double Theresa in size and strength. All Theresa has shown me in 2 challenges is she can slide under the radar for most of the game, get called out in the end, and lose. That's not much for me to be able to say she could beat one of the top girls like Jodi, Rachel, Laurel, or Evelyn. Absolutely not. And with the bottleneck stampede challenge, being ahead of the pack shows absolutely nothing to me. Wrestling people in the back, however, does. It's pretty easy just to run ahead of everybody else when everybody behind you is physically wrestling with each other.

Athletic-wise, Theresa hasn't shown she could bring anything to the table. Emily is showing more that Theresa has ever shown, and this is Emily's first challenge. Anyway, back to the real topic at hand, I would love love to see paula's face in the reunion. Priceless. I also thought Brandon and Camila should have been there. Plus I wanna see interaction between Tyler and "Toad"(LOL) as he wanted to revolt against them and is probably ****** about having to go in twice (the two hardest eliminations) without Brad ever setting foot in an elimination round.

When I said Jodi came to mind I meant that what I described was her, but she's definitely a lot better than Theresa athletically. Like you said, Jodi's one of the best and I would, personally, take her over any other female on the show. But this is getting off-topic now. Does anybody know why Camlia wasn't brought on stage? Was she invited or did she just show up? I just don't get why they would invite her (if they did) and just keep her backstage...
I was just wondering if there was any animosity between Laurel and Abe?
I believe there is a bit of animosity, but it depends on what you consider animosity. If you look on this site for the interview with Abe, it seems he said that Laurel was I THINK the most arrogant or annoying (something to that effect) person he's even seen on these challenges. And from the show, I don't think they are BFFs, but who knows if they hate each other?
I agree.
I think someone said that they wanted to bring her on as a surprise guest at the end bu the Easy/Laurel thing took longer than expected so time prevented her from coming on-stage.
Yes, I believe you are correct. I think someone who was in attendance at the reunion mentioned the Eric/Laurel thing took longer than expected so they didn't have time to bring Camila on stage as originally planned. Someone even said Maria was beginning to transition into the Camila topic with the "mean girls" but it never went any further.
Thanks guys. I probably overlooked that while reading the re-cap (if it was mentioned there). That really sucks for Camila though, she had her time to speak her piece and because of another issue she didn't get the chance.
maria jus said on twitter ...
Just finished hosting another challenge reunion for mtv-woah was this one out of control.had to raise my voice!!
i wonder what she raise her voice about. maybe it was mentioned and I missed it :(

From what I've read that situation got a lot of people up.
Not sure exactly but it could've been because of how out of the hand the Eric-Laurel discussion got. Maria got angered because Tyler kept interrupting Eric from giving an answer to Laurel which delayed the segment. Also about Laurel/Abe. In the beginning of the reunion, Laurel ripped a page off of Abe's book. Luckily Abe brought like 10 copies with him.

That's pretty disrespectful, even if he did keep promoting it. I mean, throw the book a few feet or hit him in the head with it, don't ruin it. Did Abram react at all to that? Or Cara Maria?

Laurel was nice during the breaks, and before the show.
