My thoughts on the season do far -
Sarah - I don't know what she thinks she's accomplished to give her such an ego. Hopefully she's sent packing soon. The more time passes the more Ryan's opinion of her comes through
Laurel - During FM2 I was kinda liking her, borderline indifferent on her even though she was Kenny's partner. But her true colors started showing during the the FM2 Reunion when she lashed out at Carly out of nowhere. After last nights episode everyone has finally seen those true colors. What is especially puzzling is the way she bullied Eric when on FM2 she felt so bullied by Theresa and Mandi. Why would she want anyone to feel that bad if she didn't like it?
Paula - at this point she seems like everyones crazy ol' aunt Paula.
Johnny - Just when I was about to say he is tolerable without Kenny and/or Evan he shows his ******* side again. I don't know why his team feels the need to follow him voting wise when he doesn't have his boys to back him up? Its time for the newer blood - not just Fresh Meaters but vets who are always coming up short - to stage a coup and shift the power with a blindside. It just makes no sense to me.
Vinny - I didn't even remember he was from FM2 until you guys all reminded me. What a sore loser.
Derrick's podcast with Vinny (Exit interview type thing)
Derrick chats with Vinny after his episode 3 elimination from MTV's The Challenge: Cutthroat. Vinny talks about the episode, his strategy that fully backfired on him, losing in the Gulag to Eric, No longer being involved with Sarah, the back-story on his battle with Shauvon and the story that he beat her up and the real story on the Johnny Bananas bar fight and who got their butt kicked.

I gotta say, last night Paula's anger at Johnny still seemed pretty real. This was their first challenge together since The Island.
Yeah John and Paula have been alternating between challenge appearences lately.
Both were on the Island
Paula was on the Duel 2
John was on the Ruins
Paula was on Fresh Meat 2
Both are now on Cutthroat.
Anyone else think
Shauvon = Leah (Paris)?
I'm getting an Inferno 1 flashback from this episode with Sarah being CT :D
Although Leah's panic attack was MUCH worse than Shauvon being terrified.
With Katie apologizing last night to Emily, this is what Emily had to say back lol:
Dicey!! Good one Brad!! Brad's got jokes!!
Omg...I'm trying to read the entire thread before posting my comments on the episode but...This post literately made me fall out my chair laughing!!!!
Ok so now my thoughts on the episode...haha.
This episode had so much in it, it was the best episode of the Challenge in a long time!!
Shauvon: I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wish she would have at least tried in her Gulag with Katie. She should have proved she had some sort of fight. I'm in the minority, but I really like Shauvon :) Also, I laughed SOOOO hard when she freaked out on Johnny!
Eric: To be honest, I was always kind of indifferent about him, but after this last episode, I LOVE him! I felt so bad after Laurel's verbal beatdown. I loved how he proved himself in the mission and the Gulag.
Laurel: I cannot stand her ego and attitude...she thinks she's better than everyone. You'd think the jump would've been easy for her because of her height, but she still fell...karma!!
Melinda: Thinking about the jump makes me think...Melinda kind of sucked that challenge, I thought she would be better.
Emily: I don't know why everyone is proclaiming Emily is a great competitor?? She hasn't really done much...
Ty: REALLY annoying, as he was on DC!! Hope he goes soon.
Dan: It was so nice to see him comforting Eric! I really like him.
Brandon: I loved how he identified with Katie and comforted her...
Abram: He's really the leader of the gray team. I liked how he went back to try and convince Shauvon to jump.
Ayiiia: SHE FINALLY GETS AN INTERVIEW!! <3
Johnny: HAHAHAHA was getting a black eye karma?! I'm kind of confused about the story he gave...but I laughed so hard.
Sarah: I loved her on the Ruins, but on FM2 and ESPECIALLY this season, her ego is too much!!! Why would you go up to someone and tell them to quit?! Ugh, I hope she epically fails!
Vinny: SORE. LOSER.
Katie: I LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt SOOOOOOOOO bad when she got sent into the Gulag...Her fight with Ty was entertaining but when she broke down with Brandon, I wanted to cry with her! I hope she goes on and proves everyone wrong and makes the finals! Also that was a nasty fall :P
I got too ahead of myself hoping that Johnny was gonna get a good edit until this episode. I like JEK, but I understand the dislike. What I don't understand is why Kenny is thought to be the worst of them. If you look at the three seasons where they each were alone, Evan was still tool-ish on Duel 2 and Johnny's been on jerk so far now, whereas Kenny (IMO) was really chill on FM2.
Also, does anyone think that Derrick is cool with Johnny only b/c of Kenny? He seems to openly disagree with him a lot on this show and even on the podcast last week when Kenny was saying Johnny's smart Derrick was like "Well...idk about that...". I think Kenny is the only one in JEK that Derrick's legit friends with.
I think Kenny is the most repulsive based on his comments he makes about other people. It's like he thrives on insulting and putting down other people. Evan does as well but I think it's Kenny's conceit that also makes me hate him, mainly because I think he is definitely not as fortunate looking as he thinks. Hopefully it is all an act though and he really doesn't think he's that great looking because in every challenge he has been apart of, there has always been about a handful of guys that were better looking than him.
I think Evan is the best competitor out of JEK and Johnny is the hottest and least annoying but still pretty repulsive.
Looks like Jenn is the Queen Bee of the blue team. She's becoming the new "old" Paula in the sense that she's Bananas' go to girl. I hope this position doesn't get to her head so that she starts believing she doesn't need to perform or fight her way up to the top the same way she did in I3 and Duel 2.
This episode proved how much Sarah's ego has inflated and how highly she thinks of herself and how "fame" has gotten to her head. There was no reason for her to scream at Shauvon, as the Challenge was over and yelling at her wouldn't of changed anything. Then her actually telling Shauvon to qut is disgusting. The world doesn't revolve around you, Sarah. But we know you'd like it to.
It's difficult to think that this was actually the same girl from The Ruins.

I don't think it's the fame, I think it's her competitive side. She thinks she's a good competitor and she feels like she has to right to pick on whoever she wants. I think it's the drive in her to win, because she was so close on The Ruins, yet so far on Fresh Meat 2 and she has that money itch.

I think Kenny does the whole Mr. Beautiful thing as an act, the guy is a wrestling fan and he probably does it as his "gimmick". Once I put that thought into my head, his comments make me laugh on these thing.
Yeah I'm surprised Jenn and Johnny are so close on this, but I guess after FM2 and her relationship with Pete, who became friends with Kenny on FM2 she is now another part of the outter JEK alliance.
I'm glad Eric beat Vinny, it sets me off to know that everyone underestimates him. I think that is why he cried when Laurel lashed out at him, because everyone in the house has doubts in him, and the Laurel thing was the last straw. Notice how in the dailies (or the show, I can't remember) he tells Dan (or Brandon) that everyone wants him to fail. Yes, that includes Brad (Bananas admitted that Brad said so), Tori (again Bananas), Johnny (he admitted it), Derrick (he agreed), so it just isn't Laurel, it is everyone who gives him a hard time for the Gauntlet 3.

I am glad Eric won but I wished Vinny had stayed around longer as well. I was also glad that was an elimination where pretty much everybody would have been equal going in and stood a better chance than the one where the were strapped together and had to flip their barrel.

Or because his feelings were genuinely hurt. It's hard to believe that these challenges can go that far but sometimes they can.
And I don't think Derrick wants Eric to fail, he didn't vote him in and he's cool with Eric so I'd take D off that list.
I've seen it and I still stand by what I said. What Derrick was really doing seemed to be just agreeing with Johnny, I mean, why argue with him because it's not gonna go anywhere. And yeah Derrick said that it was obvious and not shady, still, in the end he didn't vote for them and stood by what he felt was right.
Laurel is terrible. I'm shocked no one stopped her from her rant or put her in her place. Poor Eric, glad he won though and I normally wouldn't say this.
Anyways, competition was fun to watch. I love that mission.
Watching that daily between Derrick and Johnny, it doesn't seem like either of them want Eric to fail. What Johnny said, and I agree with, is that Eric hasn't been showing that he's any more in shape and better conditioned than he was for the epic fail that was G3. If he was to go and work out with them, and prove that he could run a few miles at a decent pace and not be ready to drop dead, then I don't think they would still be trying to get rid of him. Or at least, not from the standpoint of doing what's best for the team in the final.

That's pretty much how I took it as well.
Another thing, Johnny didn't say that Tori and Brad want Eric to fail, because in Johnny's words they're the reason he's there aka they're both close with him, but they would both like to see him in the final because that gives them a better shot of winning, but not exactly wanting him to fail.

Eric cried because the camera was there. It was a clearly staged moment for BMP to reward you all with a new story line. I'd love to know how many takes they shot...
I felt bad for Eric, but it doesn't change the fact that he is a huge anchor for his team & I would have liked to see him sent home. He is incredibly boring.

There could be some challenges where his size is what saves his team. You never know about all that until it is done. He won one elimination and would have been a shoe in in the one where they were strapped back to back.
I felt bad for Eric at the beginning but I thought it was a good idea for the blue team to throw him in. I mean he did pull his weight on that challenge but even so he still is a liability they can't risk him in the end.
Shavon should just stop doing these things I mean she's a weak player and she doesn't even try. Sarah was right to be ****** at her.
I'm really getting tired of the girls making out and having *** with each other. I'm still waiting for some of the guys to get it on.

Wasn't very clear to me, or many others for that matter. Looked pretty genuine and I can see why he would shed some tears.

I can't speak for any others, let alone may. Good that you can. It must be empowering.
However, as a pro in the business, I can tell you that:
If one carefully views the segment frame by frame, its contrived nature is obvious. From time of day, to background, to clothing, anyone involved in TV production can see it. Sadly, this has become exploitative standard fare for much of reality reality TV.

Haha yeah I'm not one to look at it like that, it might be because I've seen the same thing happen in my life (not to me, but friends) so I take all the things like this as serious and real.
