Noooo! i was looking forward to an Abe vs derrick gulag... oh well.
Well Emilee, let me tell you this, if you read this, I personally don't find it impossible for a gay man to be "better" than a straight one. I do however consider Derrick better at these games than Tyler, their sexualities aside. Not once did I take Tyler's sexuality into consideration when discussing him beating Derrick, because it doesn't matter. I don't think Tyler's worse than Derrick because he's gay, I think he's worse than Derrick because Derrick's a beast, has partaken in far more challenges, has wins under his belt, and has beaten Tyler before. Sorry you felt that I, and others, were putting Tyler's ability down because he's gay, but you're greatly mistaking.
I concur.
And once again, her latest Tweet is irrelevant. Nowhere do I see anybody that said "Tyler couldn't have beaten Derrick because he's gay" or "Tyler's gay, he's weak" or anything along those lines. I don't understand what she's upset about. I'm sorry that my personal opinion says Derrick's better. I believe Tyler is stronger than Chet (as well as many other straight male competitors), there ya go. I never use sexual orientation as a factor involving competitiveness or strength. Does that make me any less of an "ignorant ditwit"?
People not wanting Tyler to win could have something to do with the fact that people just don't like him and his attitude. Crazy, I know.
Molds my sister doesnt care about spoilers but she is convinced there is some weird twist coming up with the teams, and its already been mentioned here about tyler wearing a grey shirt, so curiosity got me, apart from the Tina/CT thing is there any twist we may not know about?
People not wanting Tyler to win could have something to do with the fact that people just don't like him and his attitude. Crazy, I know.
Exactly, this too. I find it ignorant that she feels it's ignorant that we're not all for a guy winning, who happens to be gay, and thinking it's only for that reason.

So thats a no?
That's wack.
Wack, hmm haven't heard that one in awhile lol. So the only twist in the game is infact bring CT/Tina in?
Am I the only one here that likes Tyler? Good for him for beating Derrick, its his time to shine.
No, she's referring to everyone that is surprised that Tyler could beat Derrick.
Geez. When I said it was embarrassing for Derrick because he lost to Tyler, I meant it in the same way I would say it when a Top 10 College Football team loses to a team that's not even ranked in the top 40 or 50. For instance, you're a Michigan fan, that loss to Appalachian St. a few years ago was embarrassing right ? What I said had nothing to do with anyone's sexual orientation. Good grief !!

Random, but... Any spec as to who Theresa is yelling at in the "See No Evil" trailer when she says: "And after you come back, we're gonna have to work together!"?
Honestly, I don't think Emilee was referring to anyone here. Sorry to Molds (App. St.) and Emilee (misunderstanding her). My bad ... :(
Even though I don't like Tyler, its not really "Holy **** shocking" too see him beat Derrick. Derrick may be one of the best competitors ever, but age is not on his side. Plus, Tyler is pretty athletic, fast, and pretty agile. It all depends on what the Gulag is. Though, I really wanted to see Derrick vs. Abram.
Not to sound like a broken record, but Derrick is 27, that's usually around the age when most athletes are considered in their prime. Even though it feels like forever since the Gauntlet 2 aired, it's only been about 5 years. Derrick's not old by any stretch of the imagination, despite his hair. I think it's more a case that Tyler was always pretty athletic, a swimmer in college, a marathon runner on his season, and despite some pretty early exits on his prior challenges, had decent showing in small sample sizes. He then dedicated his profession to health and fitness, so he's likely in terrific shape. Then finally the intangibles about what their gulag revolves around and whether height, size, speed, weight, etc play apart. To me this isn't really a case of Derrick dropping down a peg in the 'all time challengers ranks' but Tyler moving up.

Maybe this isn't such a big upset after all especially if it's not a wrestling/tackle type elimination which is really the only type of eliminations Derrick has excelled at anyway.

That is a pretty decent gig, more than likely he gets paid more to do that than the challenges, another proof that some do this just for fun and to test themselves.
Tyler must have beaten Derrick in a none strength gulag.
Tyler must have beaten Derrick in a none strength gulag.
It wasn't a puzzle, if that's what you're implying. Seriously, I'm confused as to what a "none strength" gulag is, or to why you don't think Tyler could beat Derrick in anything physical, but this is not the place for that discussion.

Well this week elimination wise we won't be getting much, with Shauvon simply leaving and all. Unless they do decide to air the Ayiiia elimination but that would screw up everything mission wise I think. But of course we do get Vinny vs. Eric, that should be fun to watch although I'm actually liking Vinny this season. Can't wait to see what Shauvon's reasoning is this time, especially after her claiming she's made friends on this challenge unlike her other ones. And to think, I'm actually liking her this time around.
Oh I can't wait till this weeks episode I think its gonna be shock full of drama..Laurel, Shauvon leaving, Vinny getting accused of hitting a girl, 2 more eliminations.
Can't wait to see what Shauvon's reasoning is this time, especially after her claiming she's made friends on this challenge unlike her other ones. And to think, I'm actually liking her this time around.
My guess is it's a combination of Vinny and Sarah.

I mean, Derrick has pretty much owned everybody he's went up against in games like that except Wes in pole wrestle. But if it has something to with strength and has no wrestling/tackling then I can easily see how Tyler could beat Derrick now that I think about it... he's bigger and stronger. Timmy drug Derrick across the beach on the Gauntlet 2 in hardly no time because he was bigger and stronger than Derrick. Isn't Derrick only like 5'7 or something like that ? He said he only weighed 160 lbs on the Gauntlet 2. So a lot of guys on these shows have a size, weight, and strength advantage on Derrick. Even though Derrick's a beast, it probably takes everything he has to do what he does on these shows. Heck, I'm actually kinda surprised that he beats Brandon on this challenge now that I've seen Brandon compete.

Tyler's got a good 5-6 inches on Derrick and probably a good 10-20 pounds.
My guess is it's a combination of Vinny and Sarah.
Ohhh yeah, completely forgot about Sarah's rant toward Shauvon. Vinny chimes in too? Guess he especially won't be happy when he gets sent home later on. Wasn't there another reason why he gets upset when he lost? I don't really remember what it was but I remember it being talked about...

Wasn't there another reason why he gets upset when he lost? I don't really remember what it was but I remember it being talked about...
I don't know if he chimes in, but there is the whole Vinny talking **** about Shauvon, Shauvon hitting Vinny with a chain and him pushing her away storyline. From what I have heard, Shauvon turns all of the other girls on their team (and maybe some of the guys too) against Vinny. I'm not too surprised though...he's probably the worst guy left on his team. Not to mention who he loses to could be considered kind of embarrassing to some.

I think games like Ascender (I know Derrick already beat Tyler at this, but still), Sliders, Reverse Tug of War, I Can, Push Me, or really anything that's not all about physically beating the snot out of each other hand to hand or pole it would either be 50/50 or a Derrick would be at bit of a disadvantage outside of Ascender and even still Derrick wouldn't have a huge advantage at that. And not just against Tyler but a lot of the guys on these Challenges. I can't remember the names of all these games, just remember what they are.
