Amazing Race 17: Ep. 3 - In Phil We Trust
A challenging detour tests one couple's relationship, while another team's Racer requires medical attention, threatening their position in the competition on the next episode of The Amazing Race. YouTube - The Amazing Race - In Phil We Trust
Already running behind...not the best way to start my Sunday television line up :D
****, how did he drop that ball! Rivers was on the money! Er...well, ya - TAR is going to be about an hour behind (unless something crazy happens here and the Chargers find 8.)
I found this screencap to be entertaining: Subtle fail.
I'm going to be mad if Kevin and his dad are eliminated this round. They made the editing painfully obvious last week.
I don't know why, but when I saw the boxing thing, all I could think about was that the watermelon girl should do it and possibly get hit again so I could laugh.
Makes me nervous that the doctors are in last. I really like them and want them to stay longer. I'm hoping someone really screws something up an soon.
Geez, these guys are all awful with their geography.
Geez, these guys are all awful with their geography.
Not to mention reading instructions.
"This whole cast reeks of dumb."
"This whole cast reeks of dumb."
Took the words right out of my mouth ;) The funniest thing is the tattoo couple going through pretty much the whole map before getting that answer right.
It's always hilarious when people pass right by things without noticing them. "Our eyes are really deceiving us." Best line of the night as they walk right past the decoder which is as big as the side of the building.
I had a feeling that with the whole "helping give back to the school" that this was going to be an NE leg.
The episode previews are giving away too much. The editing in the first 10 minutes of the episodes is giving away the rest right down to who is going to come in last and if it is a non-elimination leg. p.s. How can you fly to a country and not know where it is on a map? That has never happened to me and I've traveled quite a bit, lol.
I am actually not great with geography. Especially African Geography. I am not sure if I would have gotten it right away. I know where it is, but not exactly on the map. And Africa has so many countries it can get confusing!

Heck, at the very least you would have probably stared at the aircraft onboard GPS for hours after leaving Heathrow showing a little plane moving toward its final destination. Not to mention, any team worth its salt would be buying maps as they went along so that they could be somewhat prepared for their destination. I really, really wish they had this task last season in South Africa (oh, the irony would have been awesome!)
I can only picture Jeff and Jordan placing a sticker somewhere near Egypt.
And Caitlin would have refused to do the task altogether on the grounds that it was an unfair task because some people in our nation, uh..don't have maps - then promptly put the magnet on South Africa, "The Iraq" and "The Asian countries." :D

I completely forgot about her being on the show. Definitely would have been hilarious.
Hahaha Caitlen doing that would have been priceless. Maybe she could have delivered another speech when she got it wrong. Everywhere, like such as, the New York and the California don't have maps.
Hopefully it picks up a little because these past two episodes have been kind of slow to me. Dog sled racing next week looks fun though! I agree that they are giving away way too much in the previews. I'm going to have to start fast forwarding through them to enjoy the show more. This cast really needs to learn to start looking around. It seems like they all just blindly follow each other without using their head and thinking for themselves. Hmm, there is this GIANT banner on the side of the building with symbols, there must be something pretty obvious around here to help me translate the symbols I wonder where it could be? Maybe on the side of the same freaking building? Who woulda thunk it? Oy. I don't understand how they don't know where the country they are traveling to is. First rule of Amazing Race, GET A MAP. They all had the same time in the airport to wait for the same flight so it's not like they had to rush to the plane. Go to a store, buy a map or get on the internet. Not that difficult. It was just sad. I'm really starting to like the father/daughter team too. I thought I would find her really annoying but she seems really genuine and they have had a string of bad luck but just push through and don't complain. They also work really well together and are generally positive and seem thankful to be there. I hope they go relatively far. Also, did anyone catch her comment on the mat last week where she told Phil to hurry up because he was about to give her a heart attack and she's already had one? I wonder if she was being serious? That would be very young to have already had a heart attack
