This episode was so epic!!! Where to begin? Let's start with the real star of this show Butch. He needs his own spin off show already. Him obviously lying to the lady at the rehab & saying he only does cocaine & doesn't smoke crack was hilarious. That lady knew Butch was full of crap. I think it's pretty obvious he smokes crack if this is his 8th rehab & from his appearance. Him & April always appear as high as a kite. You don't look like that after snorting some lines.
April being so mean to Catelynn when Butch was away was pretty hard to watch but good lord did you see how messy Catelynn's room was? When they showed her dog pee on the floor I couldn't help but notice all of the other stains on the carpet & the empty Coke cans & dirty ashtrays everywhere. I almost felt bad for Catelynn until she finally got up off of her but & helped clean up. Aprils mood immediately changed. All she needed was some help around the house. I know what it feels like to have to clean up all the time & it drives me crazy!
Farrah, is it me or is she bitter against men? Her speed dating session was hilarious. Could she have been more cold hearted? Last season she was all about meeting guys & going out. I think it's a good thing she is over that phase so she can focus on Sophia.
Farrah is on the cover of OK Magazine talking about her financial woes.

And Maci is on the cover of US weekly talking about a new chance at love.

Wow, the cover and not just the sidebar? I'm surprised. Slow news week? Either way, I will be looking to buy both rags tomorrow. I know having money problems is more realistic for a teen mom, but I'm just not buying that they aren't making money from this show.
April is just a hot mess! Geez, what a role model. I love how she smokes and drops f-bombs when her little boy is 2 feet away from her. She also looks like the cryptkeeper. Man, she looks rough. I don't feel sorry for her missing her mullet man, Butch. When you pick a loser like that, you got to deal with the repercussions. I'm amazed Caitlyn & Tyler are as well-adjusted as they are.
I thought Farrah's speed dating scene was hilarious. The guys were all ***** geeks! I thought she was nicer about it than I expected her to be and was still trying to be friendly, even though the whole thing was a big joke and a waste of time.
I felt bad for Amber. It's obvious she's not very intelligent. How frustrating and embarassing that you can't even pass the GED test. SMH at Gary, saying he wants a woman who's "on top of her game". Amber should have told him she wants a man who won't crush her to death when he's on top of her. Amber keeps shrinking, but Gary gets fatter, lazier, and more disgusting. What's up with that?
You know what always surprises me? How OK Ryan's parents are with him not working... they pay his child support, now his legal bills...
How on earth is Ryan going to explain to the courts how he is deserving of joint custody?
April really was terrible to Catelynn (and her friend). I think their situation is worse than Farrah and Debra's. Catelynn's mom seems like she really can't stand her most of the time on the show. Though it mainly seems like it's on April's side, she is just really horrible. Did you see when April was blowing that smoke in Catelynn's face in the car? And if I were Catelynn's friend, I would not go over to her house to hang out with Catelynn. I would want to stay away from her mom as far as possible.
I think Ryan is too coddled by his parents. It really bugs me that both Ryan and Gary initially had steady jobs and now don't seem to be actively trying to get employed. I know the economy isn't so great these days, and it can be difficult to find a job when you really need one, but they just seem to not care.
I can understand Maci's frustration at Ryan wanting more days with Bentley all of a sudden. I think it must be hard for her since she tried to get Ryan to be a real family with her and Bentley when they were together, yet he was unresponsive. I think she got used to being the main parent (out of her and Ryan - I know both sets of grandparents helped) and having the day to day control of Bentley. So now it must be very painful to have to give up her child more days.
However, she needs to realize real quick that Bentley is just as much Ryan's child as he is hers, so she can't have total control over when Ryan can see Bentley or not. She can't just take him away when she gets mad at Ryan. And she needed to get her emotions under control and have her phone conversation before driving. That was pretty dangerous of her to be talking on the phone, crying/emoting and driving at the same time. It looks pretty bad that she did that on camera, especially now that there will be a custody battle (or whatever you want to call it) between her and Ryan. Plus I think she is rushing things with Kyle and shouldn't move at this point. Ryan does seem to be doing slightly better with being interested in Bentley lately, so I would feel a bit bad for him to have Bentley further away from him. But I wish he and Maci could have worked things out in a better way concerning Bentley. I think they need to talk more. And they should leave Kyle and Ryan's girlfriend out of their decisions for the most part.

I really couldnt disagree more about Ryan. He is a complete jerk and a tool and doesnt deserve any more time with Bentley. He did not give a s*** about Bentley or Maci when they were together no matter how hard Maci tried to make it work. I honestly think the only reason he seems to be more interested in spending time with Bentley is because he doesnt want to look like a jacka** anymore on tv.

I agree... especially after watching it you see it was Ryan that you see talking about more time... it's Ryan's parents who want more time! I mean his attitude about child support says enough!
On another note, I can not believe what Gary was doing to Amber last nite... I hope she throws that guy to the curb... I don't think she's the easiest person to deal with but she can do better... Can he be any lazier???

While I agree that Ryan seems to be pushing for more time with Bentley because his parents want more time, I have to disagree that he doesn't deserve anymore time with Bentley. Well, at least, I disagree with Maci saying that she doesn't have to give him anymore time. Bentley is the child of both of them, and both of them have been around him since the beginning. I don't have an issue with Maci having him most of the time since she is the one who really took care of him out of her and Ryan. But she can't be the type to yank her son away whenever she feels like it. That's not going to fly when it comes to court. She didn't deal with it very well - I know it hurts, but if she and Ryan could just talk more about things and communicate better, maybe they would not have to go through the courts. But basically I'm just saying that her attitude towards it is not going to help at all.
I absolutely have issues with the way Ryan acted after Bentley was born up until recent times. Yes, he has been a jerk and did not care enough to really get into being a father to Bentley (or give Maci child support). That is exactly why I understand how upset Maci got over the whole situation. I feel bad for her. But he is still his father and has somewhat of an involvement. And Maci is not dealing with it right - she's getting petulant, and this type of thing will affect Bentley when he grows up if Maci and Ryan don't come to some decent agreement. I actually think the grandparents should be having a discussion with Maci about possibly spending more time with Bentley, since it seems they are the ones who want more time. Maybe Maci wouldn't have minded them taking him for a couple of hours a week or something.
Yeah, I agree Gary was wrong last night. I do think Amber is way worse than Gary overall, but Gary agreed to be with Leah that night so she could go out, and he let his friend (who I bet hates the way Amber treats him) talk him into being a baby about not getting to go out with her. So this time everything was on him. He is easily manipulated, it seems. If he wanted to spend time with Amber, maybe he should have made arrangements to do something with Amber earlier on and then let Amber do something with her friends if it was a big deal to him. I don't think Amber could do better than Gary, though. I think she likes being able to control Gary, and I don't know how many guys would be willing to put up with her behavior. Gary probably won't do much better than Amber, either, with his current laziness and lack of job, and bit of childishness.

When did she do this? I thought she agreed that it would be better to have something in writing for both of them?

That is what I am wondering, no matter how bad Ryan has treated their son, she has never stopped him from visiting Bentley, even when he wasn't helping feed, clothe or care for him. Maci has done nothing but go out of her way to make sure that Bentley has a relationship with his dad no matter how much Ryan didn't want it at the time. Maci even praised the new girlfriend for being open with her about Bentley getting hurt, if Maci were bitter, mean or trying to keep Bentley away from them, she could have used that as an excuse to blow up and flip out for them not properly watching the little man while he was in their care. How many times has Bentley been in Ryans care and smashed his head on something now?? I can remember at least twice and both times were because he was too busy "relaxing" to actually keeping an eye on his son.
I didn't say she did that. I just hope she won't be the type to behave like that. It was all about her attitude. I thought she said something like Ryan's lucky she lets Ryan see Bentley at all when talking to her friend. The way she was talking at one point in the episode, she seemed to act like Ryan didn't have to be a part of Bentley's life, even though she let him be. As I've said, I totally understand her being upset at Ryan requesting more time and not wanting to let it happen, but she's got to think more about how Ryan is Bentley's father - Bentley clearly loves his father. For me, Maci is just coming across slightly different this season.
I just think it would be beneficial for them (and the grandparents, since I think they are the ones who want more time) to be able to talk to each other and work things out as opposed to having to deal with court. That goes both ways - Ryan was a complete jerk for telling her to take him to court for child support. They need to try to work together. I know it often doesn't work like that for most people, but it really sucks when there is a battle in court. If they can get a handle over things now, it will be easier for them when Bentley gets older and is more aware of what is going on. They both need to adjust their way of thinking, but I already thought that about Ryan. This episode more than any other made me notice that Maci needs to change her thinking more, too. It's a very difficult thing to deal with. She still seems like a good mom, though.
Crying right now listening to the call to Carly from Catelynn and Tyler. :(
That scene was very emotional. It almost got to me as well. Wow I am really invested in these girl's lives now.
I forgot all about this show. Anyway, Amber/Gary's fights are just bull****. They either need to get it together or separate.
As for Farrah, this heifer is so damn disrespectful its ridiculous. Like especially on her own birthday, my god, the attitude. I'd pull over and put her in her place.
As for Maci, I hope she isn't doing this just because of some guy. She'll find out the hard way.
Carly/Tyler/Catelynn scene made me said. Very emotional.
Does anyone else think ryan's behavior is to impress this new lady in his life?
I def think it's a factor... I mean that one scene really made it seem like if his friends & girlfriend didn't keep goading him into doing something... he wouldn't...
I caught a preview of tonight's episode and I was really disappointed in how maci tells ryan she's leaving. I liked her up until the way she handled herself with that. I really don't like ryan's behavior, but she definitely took a page out of his book on this one.
I couldn't believe the whole Farrah storyline tonite... I mean why wouldn't his sister show up for the paternity test... or at least say she wouldn't do it!
Though I also think that Farrah's lawyer is VERY patient dealing with her attitude all the time!

I cant believe he had the nerve to say that Maci only thinks about herself. He is the one that only thought about himself for the majority of Maci's pregnancy and the fist half of Bentley's life. I dont feel one bit sorry for him

I don't either... he was such a jerk... he's NEVER put himself out for Bentley... He's the most self involved person... His parents are prob the only reason he does anything!
I totally agree ryan is a jerk, but I think someday, especially when the little man is old enough to watch this and understand, maci will regret how she handled things
Tonight was the first time watching this show that I didn't hate Ryan. He acted like an adult for once and it paid off for him. And Amber is insane. I feel bad for Gary, I know he is lazy and is a smarta** from time to time but no one deserves to be abused.

Yeah for once Ryan stepped up... Good for him! Amber is TOTALLY insane... she was really smacking him around... & Gary pretty much just stands there and takes it.. I feel so bad for Leah... how does she not even have sheets for the crib?
Farrah's story really got to me tonite... it had to hurt to hear how Derek wanted to take care of her whoever's baby it was when she was treating him so poorly...

Gary really had no choice but to take it, if he hit her things would have gotten alot worse. It is sad that Leah has to put up with their constant fighting, it is obviously not good for her to see it over and over.
