I actually cried watching the first episode. I can't wait for the rest of the season.
It was a really good show!
I know! I'm suprise how much High School students can mature and change their schools. In HS I was an immature *******, and I actually use to like that (at the time), and wouldn't want to change it. Now as an adult I know it's wrong, and wished I was a better person, but it amazes me how these students can do that. They deserve some type of reward!
They came to our school last year, we ALL had to fill out a **** load of forms. our episode isn't until next season though
No way they were in Texas last year?!? They should've came to my school, nothing but gangs and pregnant girls.
Challenge Day was only for the seniors. but you can only have 100 students maximum so the teachers chose wheo they thought would really use the lessons. It was VERY SAD, you seriously have no idea about peoples lives... :/ I don't want to say the name of my school, but we will be VERY noticable since we are majority black.
I wish there was more substance to the show than just opening up to people. I feel as if high school students are pretty simple and they either open up about being gay, being non-superficial, or having home issues. At least that's what I took from the first episode/promos. They need to add a spark to the show.

No, they don't. its real life, no editing, no added "sparks".
How would you know? How about you wait until you see future episodes. The next episode seems to be about Online Bullying... isn't that different from the first episode?
I have to disagree. There are many stories that could be told, and a lot of issues. Not everyone goes through the samething.
My favorite story is the father and son one. I wasn't expecting it, and I know how that kid feels. It always sucks when you just want them to be proud, but just add more pressure to the situation. This will be interesting! Does anybody know what was the first week ratings?

O wow how encouraging. Hopefully my school district takes a big step and develop program like that for my old school, it will definitley make an impact in the community.
Wow everyone is so ugly on this show, I think I've watched the movie Mean Girls to many times.
Seriously? You took time out of your day to post how ugly people are...that is just proves how much this show needs to be on air. Hopefully it will help more than just the kids it features.

I just thought American High Schools were just one big fashion show, and everyone looks as though they are 25.
I mean not one person had their hair waxed.
Does this seriously work? We've had people try to open everybodies eyes in my school multiple times and everybody goes back to their normal ways the next day. I highly doubt that this would have a long-term effect on anybody because they all just go back to their routine within a week.

God forbid someone not wax thier hair when they are in high school!!
Thank you, you just reaffirmed what I mentioned above...this show is really needed, hopefully it opens up peoples eyes to how shallow they can be when it comes to others outside of thier social groups.

I kind if asked myself the same question. I want to know how much they really change.

I'm glad to hear that they will focus on a majority black school for one of the episodes. I don't know how it's going to go (or what your school is like). But I thought it would be interesting to see a focus on a predominantly black school because of diversity within the race. I could see a possible dealing with people who are good students/goody two shoes vs. the cool kids. Kids with two parent homes vs. kids with single parents. Hip hop kids vs. kids who like different music and activities. Yes, the same groups exist in many schools, but it becomes an issue of stereotypes when you deal with a school in which one race is prevalent. I think if your school has these divides, it could be interesting for everyone to see.
I think this show is so great! I hope A LOT of kids can watch it and change their ways and realize that school would be a much better place for everyone if only they can be more tolerant of and open with each other.
Good job, mtv
This show is so great! I wish it had been around when I was in highschool because I think I could've really learned from it. Although, I think the lessons this show teaches can be applied to anyone, not just highschoolers.
I couldn't even make it through the first 20 minutes without crying my eyes out, or at least on the episode I watched. It was a really good show, but I'm really curious if the students revert back to their normal selves or do they actually learn from the experience.

This is my main concern as well.
On the IMdB boards a lot of the kids say that they all go back to the way they were in two weeks. Which is believable, nothing can or will change that.
I turn it on this morning to see a girl crying because people said she didn't deserve to be homecoming queen, is this for real? Is a girl really crying because that? Wow, it's pathetic.

She cried because of the cyber-bullying.
This show is deep...I was a sort of bully in High School because of all the anger I had inside. It's good people express themselves! It's always best to share, than keep it bottled up inside. That's **** will eat you up! I agree one day isn't enough, it should be a long process.

Oh okay, I was kind of hoping it was just more than that she didn't deserve to win lol.
