Its likely that they will have another season. The reason for the cancellation is that channel 4 is trying to change its audience, they're likely to give the show to another channel. The ratings and fan base does speak for itself tho. I dont hate the us version I quite like backstabbing and the head of household element, but there never seems to be fun and diverse characters in the house. I find that every year there has to be one git girl, a gay guy, a jock, a street savy guy, a smart girl, an old person, a model, and a young college grad. Whereas in uk seasons they've put in three gay people in one season, or a blind person in another season. Also the competitions in the us version are either physically or mentally demanding, whereas as the english version is almost lways about creativity and fun.

I am a huge fan of the US Big Brother and I still am, but the last couple of years it's kind of dwindled down. I mean I still watch it and watch the live feeds, but it's not as good as it used to be. Over the past few years I've ventured the internet and found the Australian version (which unfortunately was cancelled) and the UK/British version and I must say they are actually very good and I kind of like them better than the US version. I really do love the strategy in the US version, but in the other versions, they aren't even allowed to talk about nominations, the best parts are all in the tasks they have to perform for a shopping budget. I just love it. I completely agree with you, Naz estonia there are way more diverse characters in the UK version. I love that they have fun. I wish the US version would go back to some of it's older rules.
I dont understand how people can enjoy the US version of the show, theres never any drama or entertainment. The Dutch and English version are amazing and have huge ratings. I will say that the US version is definitely a 100 times more strategic but very boring. Also the cast are always sort of pathetic with a set mold for cast members every year.
Normally, I'd say, "We have this discussion every year," "The format of BBUK is the reason why BB1 tanked in America" or "All they do on BBUK is dance, act stupid and do stupid ****," but that's based on the snippets I've seen and I honestly haven't given a full season (much less a full episode) of BBUK a chance. I will eventually, though. However, the reasons why you dislike BBUS are the same reasons why I love BBUS. Our BB6 is probably one of the most popular US reality TV seasons ever because the cast was diverse despite the fact that it was made of pairs who knew each other, and the competitions were more fun...PLUS the alcohol. I'd like to see something like that again.
I have watched most of the US season and some of them have been entertaining to me; as you mentioned BBUS6 was quite good with the twist and had some interesting cast members like janelle and howie (I think they were in that season I cant remember). I also liked the twin twists they had in one of the other seasons. I also like the fact that the US version is sort of contained without any aftershows or public bets on evictions. You should give some uk seasons a chance tho perhaps bb 2006.

"Who is she? Who is she? Where did you find her?" I love Nikki Grahame :) Yeah If you do plan on trying some UK series, BBUK 2006 would be the one to try first.
Has anyone ever been unanimously evicted on the first vote? Minus someone who was expelled, of course...
I looked this up and there are two times. Amanda from Season 4 was evited in a 9-0 vote and Mike in Season 5 with a 10-0 vote. I cannot remember who they are so more power to you if you can :)

Amanda was the skanky chick (who looks like Monet from this season) who hooked up with some dude in the HoH room on the first night. Mike was a whiny homophobic guy who...okay, never mind.

Oh them...hehehehe. I do remember the girl, but I had to look the guy up.

It looks as though Scott was expelled before Amanda was voted out though. Maybe Mike was the only one.
To be honest, I wasn't a Big Brother watcher until season 9. I really liked Chelsia, I thought she was hilarious...even though I know everyone says it's one of the worst seasons ever.
Well both Brian and Carol almost went without getting a single vote But Jen and Dan saved them from that fate. I think all of the first noms got at least one vote with the expection of the ones mentioned.
Enzo and Matt are both 32. Is it just me or does Enzo look 42 and Matt look 22?
Yes, I totally agree.
Also, it looks like a hamster might return at some point.

A 30 year-old named Paola was supposed to be hamster #14, but she backed out before the cast went into press sequester. I hope it's America's Vote, and I hope it's Annie, assuming a hamster is allowed to return.
Didn't want to start a random thread for this specific question about big brother so I figured I'd just start one for any and all discussion about past seasons of Big Brother cause I didn't see one already made. I've watched Big Brother from the start, my favorite seasons probably being either 3, 5, 6, or 10. Recently rewatched Big Brother 5 and I'm currently rewatching Season 9 and it just got me to thinking......does anybody know which previous houseguests hold the record for most wins of HOHs? Vetos? Etc.? As I said I've seen all the seasons but my memory is terrible in terms of who won what and I'm interested to see who holds the most wins. Thanks in advance to anyone who has any info. :)

Janelle (BB6 and All Stars) won 5 AVs
Robert (BB4) won 3 AVs
Kaysar (BB6 and All Stars) and Jeff (BB11) won 2 AVs
I'm gonna keep trying to find a list of HOHs and/or veto wins. Once again, if anybody helps, thanks in advance!!! :)
James BB6: 4 veto wins
Janelle All-Stars: 5 veto wins
Danielle BB8: 5 veto wins
Those are the people with the most Veto wins.
Janelle All-Stars: 4 HOH wins
There are a **** ton of people that have 3 wins, I decided just to write the one.

I could have sworn James won more Power of Vetoes than that. Maybe it's just because he won them week after week that's making me think he won more.
I'm not surprised Hayden won but I am surprised at how close the votes were.
Yeah, me too! I was like woah, Lane is so close! He better not win! You could see Hayden all nervous lol
Yeah, me too! I was like woah, Lane is so close! He better not win! You could see Hayden all nervous lol
When it came down to just Enzo's vote I just knew he would vote for Lane since Hayden sent him out the door. Thankfully I was wrong :)
I still would have preferred Lane winning over Hayden. I was never a Hayden fan.
Me neither. Hayden just irks me for some reason even though he seems like an overall good guy. I dunno, maybe because the way he talks. However, it wouldn't have been right for Lane to win over Hayden when Hayden won more comps and Lane just floated his way to the end. In fact, had Hayden not won many of those comps, Lane probably wouldn't even have made it to the end. Also, Lane could barely talk in complete sentences when interrogated by the jury and most of what he said made no sense lol Hayden's answers were at least good. No way I would've voted for Lane even though he is way more likable than Hayden.
TMZ has obtained the mug shot of Steven Daigle -- the "Big Brother 10" star turned gay **** actor -- who was arrested Monday night after allegedly beating the crap out of his ex-boyfriend/fellow XXX actor.
It all went down in West Hollywood -- where Daigle and Trent Locke allegedly locked horns -- resulting in Locke being rushed to the hospital ... and Daigle being tossed into jail and booked for misdemeanor battery.
Locke blogged about the brawl from his hospital room, saying he was "deeply embarrassed" about the incident and that he "would never take a swing at [Steven]. And I did not."
Judging by his mug shot, Daigle clearly took a beating from someone ... and is still being held on a $20,000 bail.
UPDATE: Daigle was charged with one count misdemeanor battery. If convicted, he could face up to one year behind bars.
