WWE Monday Night Raw
Does anyone watch? I'm guessing not but worth a try I guess.
I record all of them but I generally read recaps and decide afterward if it's worth watching.
I watch, and tonight is a can't miss with the NXT thing last week and with Daniel Bryan apparently fired over the weekend to see what happens..
He wasn't fired. They hired him back as Brian Danielson his real name.
Actually it's unknown if indeed he will be back or not. But yes I do watch RAW. Actually watch it every week honestly.
It is not as good as it was in the past. I'm not sure if it is because I am getting older, but it just sucks. Does anyone else feel like that?
**** why does it says scripted tv????? I havent watch it since Tory and that Asian big breast brunnette had a match
It is not as good as it was in the past. I'm not sure if it is because I am getting older, but it just sucks. Does anyone else feel like that?
I don't think it has much to do with getting older (although watching too much of anything can cause some burnout). I go through phases where I watch it every week, then not at all for months at a time. If there is any strong reason it sucks compared to past storylines, it's the restrictions in place due to the PG-13 rating.
It has gotten severely worse. I stopped watching about 4 years ago, right after Chris Benoit & the murder/suicide. It was starting to go downhill then. My roommate has continued to watch but it is getting harder & harder for him to stay with it because it is getting so bad. Once Shane McMahon left the company leaving it entirely within Stephanie & Paul Levesque's (Triple H's) hands, it had nowhere to go but down. I've talked to a few pro wrestlers and many are disgusted with how they are handling things now. Quality wrestlers are leaving the company in larger numbers. Era started to end about 6 years ago when many of the veterans of the Wrestling Wars in the beginning of the decade started leaving the company. Some of them have started showing up in TNA which, despite the production value, has improved its ratings with the hiring of both Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff (who is helping with the writing duties now like he did in WCW's heyday). Most of WWE's new wrestling talent is cranked out like a factory product. A few of the old standbys are still around and are the only reasons to watch: Jericho, Edge, Christian, etc.
Edge has been my fav for years and years and it'll be a sad day when he retires (he stated recently in an interview that he probably has less than 2 years left). I hope they can work one last angle for him and Jay Reso to either reunite or feud, which I have been waiting for since Jay returned from TNA. I was a fan of TNA for a long time; I attended Lethal Lockdown 2007 in the 2nd row, have been to a few fanfests and have autographed t-shirts, lithos etc. I want them to succeed but they have done a lot to shoot themselves in the foot (specifically, bringing in washed up talent who steal the tv time from the young guys). Love all that Ric Flair has done for wrestling but does anyone really want to see him use the same old tired routine in the ring anymore? I want more AJ Styles vs RVD, and I want more X-DIVISION!
Edge has been stellar but injuries are starting to pile up and that is why he is looking to leave when his contract ends. As for Flair, after 4 divorces, he needs to make money to keep paying alimony. TNA does need to start reducing guys who can't cut it anymore like Scott Steiner (who needs to do 2 hours of stretching ahead of time to be able to do a 10 minute match all the way through) and let the X Division play. Vince McMahon believes in the strength behemoth and never really let the cruiserweights take hold whereas Bischoff wanted the cruiserweights & brought in the Luchadors from Mexico. When Vince bought up WCW, he fired almost everyone from there, especially the cruiserweight division. Helms has left, Matt Hardy is apparently on suspension with threats of termination if he shows up to any events, and the last of the Monday Night Wars veterans are heading to TNA now if they are not already retired or dead.
