I don't see how Evelyn could be disappointed or upset considering she wasn't even supposed to be on the show in the first place. Jonna probably would have gotten along with Luke just fine. Evelyn needs to either take her free vacation with a smile, or find a real job to be competitive at because there isn't "career money" in Challenges anyway.
PREACH!! Not once in this entire challenge did Landon yell or curse at Carley, NOT ONCE!! He would always motivate her in a good way, He would be like come on girl you can do it just push yourself. Not Hurry the f*#k up like everyone else. Thats why I think they won those exiles and thats why they won that challenge.
I dont agree that Laurel is a better competitor. If she was she would've won. I think she is stronger than Carley. But clearly that didn't matter cuz she lost.
I think Laurel deserved what she got. Maria opened the show and IMMEDIATELY Laurel starts attacking Carley. We weren't even in the show 3 minutes and she just attacks her because Landon 'carried' her, which is complete BS. So if right out the gate you are attacking me for no reason, im gonna attack right back. So I dont blame Carley.
If I was Carley, I would've told Laurel to shut the **** up, you're just mad that I won and you didn't. But thats just me
While Laurel getting upset with Carley was in the beginning it was about 15-20 mins into the taping. I can't remember for sure what triggered Laurel's reaction but I think it was a question from Maria, and Laurel said she didn't feel like Carley deserved to win and that she should give up a chunk of her money to Landon because he was the reason behind her winning not her strengths alone.
Overall, Laurel did react slightly immature, but it's hard to lose when you're convinced your going to winning(and she was for good reason), she was bothered by the fact that she had to give it her all and Carley didn't. But I think the edit also portrayed Laurel in a particular negative light, it didn't come off as bad during the taping because Carley was attacking Laurel on a personal level, while Laurel was more commenting about Carley's physical abilities.
Also a lot was said about the 2 min advantage being a huge deal because it was nearly impossible to make up distance when racing up hill. It was mentioned that Laurel and Kenny had to give 120% just to get catch up and get as close to Landon and Carley the way they did. While Landon and Carley, had to give 100% because they were in the lead automatically (which is impressive in it's own right). It was also mentioned that Pete and Jill who were only 1 min behind Kenny and Laurel, got no where near them, showing how much time makes a difference and how much effort Laurel and Kenny must have put in.
Carley was just as tired as Laurel so how did she not give it her best?
I think everyone gave it their absolute best in that final mission. Landon and Carley just did BETTER than everyone else.

Laurel attacked Carley's physical inability because she couldn't climb over the wall....that doesn't mean that Carley didn't try as hard or give 100% effort at every challenge. What people keep forgetting, those defending Laurel, is that it was a team effort. Landon didn't "carry" the team, because as strong competitors as Kenny and Laurel are, Landon would've not been able to beat them on his own, Carley did indeed do her part.
In the final mission, Carley and Laurel were out of gas. Laurel was dragging, that is a fact based on what we saw!! The advantage that Carley had, was a partner that motivated her and pushed her not degraded her.
I think the whole "Carley is better than Laurel because she won" argument is BS. Carley AND Landon were better than Laurel AND Kenny. It was a team competition. I'm pretty sure if the males had been switched, Landon still would have won, and I think most people would agree with me on that one.
As far at the two minute advantage goes, I think it was really more like the team that won the initial advantage was the better team anyways, and that's why they were able to build on that lead. Otherwise, why didn't Laurel and Kenny finish just two minutes after Landon and Carley?

Why does that mean she shouldn't be upset? If your partner slacks then your partner slacks. Being a last minute stand in doesn't change that and it doesn't mean she has no right to be angry. Jonna probably would've taken the competition as seriously as Luke did so of course they would have been fine in that regard. I just read her blog on Fresh Meat 2 it definitely shed some light on some things that happened and why she felt the way she did about Luke during the competitions.
Actually, after her Fresh Meat debut, BMP called Evelyn and asked her to be on RW: Denver, before deciding she shouldn't be on it because they needed "fresh faces". It was in her Vevmo interview. Clearly, BMP DID think she was interesting enough to be on the show.
Yea, I knew that, I just meant that if they are going to give fresh meat people storylines and more camera time than obviously that means they're interesting and if they find them interesting, I don't understand how they didnt make a show. I can definitely see Laurel, Ev, Evan, and Casey being Road Rulers and people like Diem, Kenny, and Ryan being Real Worlders. (not that I would want them to be).

Agree 100% with what you said. It was all about TEAM EFFORT. And Carley and Landon were just an awesome team together.

Agreed. On the reunion when Laurel was like "No Landon beat me" I was like uh no Laurel , Landon AND Carley beat you. Get over yourself
And on the 2 minute thing, I thought the same thing.
Commenting on Kenny's beatdown of Wes at the reunion. I am guessing that was all staged. I bet they agreed ahead of time to let each other talk **** just to keep their status as rivals. Wes would have gone on a more harsh counterattack otherwise.
As far as Laurel vs Carley, Amazonwoman can only make herself look bad by saying anything. Does Peyton Manning go on saying after he lost the Super Bowl "I deserved it more than you Drew Brees cause my stats were better all season. U just had a better defense."
Her assessment is wrong anyway. Landon could only do so much, Carley had to drag her own butt up that mountain. This was a contest of who was the weakest link.

Wes did have a harsh counterattack, it just wasn't shown. He went on and on about how Kenny isn't a man unlike Wes himself. These shows are really all about the editing.

To be fair, if I was fighting for first place and saw that someone beat me, I would, in a sense, give up. Jillian and Pete were nowhere close to them and so Kenny and Laurel could afford to take their time getting up the rest of the mountain to finish second.
If you read Evelyn's blog, A LOT gets explained and it's actually a very interesting read. I didn't realize her and Landon were (and still are) such close friends. I love it.

I understand that completely, but by the time they got to the mountain at the end, it looked like Landon and Carley were more than two minutes ahead. It didn't look that far, but given the terrain, and Laurel's exhaustion, it seemed like more than two minutes to me (at the point where Kenny was telling Laurel that he could see Carley lying down and he started running up).

I read her blog too. I'm surprised people felt the need to cuss her out to her face. If you get so worked up over an MTV show you need some help. A lot of t.v. really comes down to editing; I wish it wasn't so hard for people to realize this. Like the Kenny/Paula thing everybody thinks he ****ed her over and even Evelyn defended him by saying he didn't.
Just because the t.v. raised you doesn't mean it won't lie to you.
On her myspace: MySpace - www.myspace.com/141098528
You need to friend her to read it, but if you tell her you're from Vevmo she'll probably accept. She doesn't want people to copy/paste her blog anywhere, which is why you won't find us doing that here.
Not really too concerned with reading her blog because there are 2 sides to every story. She strikes me as the type of person to say anything to make herself look good, even at the expense of others, so I'm not inclined to believe anything she says about Luke. We'll never know the truth of how he performed unless MTV releases the unedited footage. Since we all know that will never happen, her "official" record goes down in history as being a volatile partner.

So instead of reading her side and then deciding for yourself, you're just going to stick with the one side?

To each their own...but she really does explain herself very well.
Did people agree with Jillian when she said she thought all the FM girls didn't like/ were jelous of Laurel because she strongest femaleand they felt threatened by her?
I personally think they didn't like her because she seemed annoying and thought she was conceited.

AFAIK, Luke doesn't have a recount of what happened, so I am sticking with the relatively unbiased version shown by MTV. They don't really show a whole lot of the actual event (for the record, that bugs me to no end), so we only really get their reactions afterward to go on.
We got:
1) Evelyn being upset.
2) Luke trying to console her and her rebuff.
3) Luke being ok with everything because it was in the past, thankful for his time there, and looking forward to the future.
I tend to personally empathize with Luke a bit more than Ev because nothing you do can change the past, better to just get on with your life and do better next time. Even if you slacked or sucked last time, doesn't mean you will be weak next time.

Unbiased? Not even close to the truth...
From my perspective it's completely unbiased because MTV didn't elicit the emotion from Ev afterward, nor did they tell Luke to go try to make her feel better. They only documented the contestants' reactions to their loss. They may have chosen which 2 minutes out of 10 worth of footage to show me, but I feel like I saw enough to piece together the whole picture.

MTV shows the footage that can get the highest ratings. Period. It's a t.v. show that needs to attract an audience. They show snippets of an exile and aftermath that lasted over an hour. They have to make it as drama worthy as possible. Even the challenge daily (Ev's tantrum) was edited. We only saw a few minutes of the ending of the exile and who knows how long they were there until Landon and Carley had to go back to the house.
I can agree with you that maybe we should take Ev's account with a grain of salt. Solely because we don't know her and **** who knows maybe she is twisting things around to make herself look good. But reality shows are always twisted around to be entertaining. Production lasts for 6 weeks. There's a little over a thousand hours in that time that needs to be edited down to around 7 - 7 1/2 hours of actual show time.

Yes, Jenn also agreed with Jillian. Evelyn and Laurel appeared to be friends at the reunion, so I don't think Ev hated her.
