Looks like I'm in the lead in my match-up with Insider after last night :). For the past 3 weeks(including this), the preview has said I would lose, but it has been proven wrong thus far.
Don't count your chickens. None of my pitchers have pitched yet.
I think you were leading me too for a bit.
Lester is back. I am happy, as a fan. Oswalt was looking great. He just needed run support. Best Sox game this year. I was on the edge of my seat. Pitching duels are always better than slug fests.
I'm hoping for a real slug-fest between the Sox and Angels tonight. Maybe Sox win 18-15?
I heard the Sox really thrashed the Angels the other night, that must've helped you alot!
I'm liking the way rod for the mets is playing. Keep hitting those homers buddy.
How could I be mad at Lackey putting up a great night and helping the Sox string together a few wins? Well, a little - but I have to think big picture and I want our three (or four) aces to shine every night.

How did I manage to soar into the lead today? Woo Woo. Sorry Dplayer. ;)
I seem to have also made my way into the lead (although it is very, very tight.) Still haven't found my stride, but I knew this was going to be a rough week dealing with injuries and the like.
On a positive note, I might have found a fit for my problems at SS (until Rollins returns.) There was a lot of buzz earlier in the day so I grabbed him right after he was called up. News: Cubs SS Starlin Castro hit a three-run homer and had a three-run triple against the Reds on Friday night, setting a record for most RBI in an ML debut. The 20-year-old made his first career start on Friday after being called up earlier in the day.

Woo hoo!! Go Cubs Go!
How did I manage to soar into the lead today? Woo Woo. Sorry Dplayer. ;)
I guess your team's not falling apart after all, haha. I didn't expect all of your pitcher starts to finish this early!
I'm hoping to a certain extent that the matchup between tatertots and Bachus gets closer. If he loses (Bachus) I will have the most wins in our division. (if I win this week)
If he loses (Bachus) I will have the most wins in our division. (if I win this week)
*BANG BANG BANG* Did I wake you? ;)
Yeah, actually you kind of did. Though since our matchup I haven't lost agianst anyone. So I guess even though my points suck I still am doing good.
Yeah, actually you kind of did. Though since our matchup I haven't lost agianst anyone. Should be tight.
Damn, who sat VMart this week!?? Oh, never mind, hehe...
Nice! Let's hope this comes true! Clearly the prediction system doesn't take into account that a player with one game under his belt is probably not going to hit a homer, a triple and have 6 RBIs every night.
Damn, who sat VMart this week!?? Oh, never mind, hehe...
Ha. Ha.
It seems like Mark Teixierra may have finally broken out of his slump. 3 home runs and 5 rbi's today.
It seems like Mark Teixierra may have finally broken out of his slump. 3 home runs and 5 rbi's today.
I still wouldn't take him if you waived him today, and then sent $50 to my paypal account, with a note begging me to give him a home. Edit: But I am happy for you. Maybe you are seeing your season turn around, unlike *cough* Wolves *cough* some teams.
BTW: One of those homers was off an outfielder, Van Every.
Yes you are so right Wolf was one of the biggest trash talkers in the beginning. I wonder what happened to him?
Yes you are so right Wolf was one of the biggest trash talkers in the beginning. I wonder what happened to him?
I have no idea. I am really worried. He just seems to have vanished! :evil2:
Yes you are so right Wolf was one of the biggest trash talkers in the beginning. I wonder what happened to him?
I will say this, excuses can only get you so far when it comes to losing games then you have to look at the skipper. Injuries suck, but it is a fact of life in any major sport. We have a huge player pool being this is a 10 team league rather than a 16 team league (or God forbid an actual 30 team league.) There are lots of great gap fillers, you just need to know what you are doing when you fill gaps. Yes, even the eventual winner is going to lose at minimum 6 or 8 games over the course of the season (maybe more) but when your team is not putting up points over a five week sample size (about a fifth of the season) questions need to be asked about ability.
The Sox need to start dumping salary. This season is over (as far as ever being able to beat the Yankees. Sure, we can be a team over .500 and if the sun shines down on us maybe at 100-1 odds, make the playoffs - but we can't advance.) Trade VMart, Paps and Lowell to contenders. Waive Papi. Get some prospects. On the up side, Lester is going to throw a no-hitter tomorrow. I just, um...KNOW IT! (My Fantasy Spidey scene is telling me!)
Damn, the Joe's are putting up some numbers this week. :D p.s. Puma, we really like you. It is safe here. Come back. I'll be nice. I promise!
Damn, the Joe's are putting up some numbers this week. :D
Yes unless Mark Teixierra somehow loses 24 pts tonight team Bazooka Joe will claim victory for the first time this year!
Kudos to you. It looks like you are starting to get competitive.
Yes unless Mark Teixierra somehow loses 24 pts tonight team Bazooka Joe will claim victory for the first time this year!
I think you have a good team. I'm surprised that you have not seen better numbers to date. Welcome to the race! :D
