Did we watch the same show? In most if not all the elimination Danny was carrying the team. If anything I think she was definately the weaker link on her team here and it showed in the exile.
I honestly think they both carried their own weight.
Sure Danny is going to be ahead of her he is stronger.
Sandy did the puzzles and was doing better than Jillian.
Jillian had Pete carrying her bag most of the time.
Not necessarily they are doing a running challenge. In that field if a womens condition was really good they could be faster leg . (endurance is different then strength) She also is carrying less weight (40). Which granted for her size is allot but still is much much less then was done on the first season of Fresh Meat.

Yes, but for a portion of the race, Jillian was not carrying ANY weight which allowed her to run faster. Sandy was carrying her weight the entire time.
Seeing how close that finish was (30 seconds or so) really makes me wonder if the result would have been different had Jillian carried her own bag the entire time. Plus I don't know about you, but when I run, I don't carry 40 pounds on my back. It's not something that most people are used to.
And in FM1 the guys carried most of the weight anyway...so that argument doesn't really work.

Yes,if Jillian was carrying her bag the whole time I don't think her team would have pulled of the win.
It's hard to say now if or if not they would have won. All I know is that they in the end lost.
The argument about most of the guys carrying the weight. We went threw much of the weight that some of the teams were carrying some teams (johnnie and Tonya where carrying collectively over 200 pounds) even if he is carrying most of the weight she still should be carrying more than 40 pounds in that equation.

Correct, but the exiles in FM1 were not 6 miles long.
Johnny was just doing what he had to do to win... Yeah, he was an ******* about it, but he was in control. If I were in control, I'd be a ***** too.
If you're talking about The Island, then that's BS. You don't need to personally attack people to be in control.
A couple points:
1. Screwing over Kellyanne/Evelyn had nothing to do with his personal feelings. He wanted to take out KellyAnne because she's a good competitor. He felt like Evelyn could take her out. That has nothing to do with being an "*******" to them personally like he was on the island. He's just playing the game. Maybe it was a little hasty, but I don't think he was a jerk at all. He would have liked to have Evelyn on the final mission. Even Wes said in the After show, that it was a "very rational strategy".
2. He would have LOVED to get rid of Susie. He was the only one that threw the final elimination mission with the flowers, to get rid of Susie. Remember? He wanted KellyAnne to take her out. Clearly, he didn't respect Susie.
I know it was a "rational" plan at first, but don't you think they should have reconsidered when they saw Evelyn's reaction in the deliberation? She told them that it wasn't going to fly, and she was going to throw the final. She didn't, but she did throw the elimination. The smartest thing (IMO) would have been Susie vs. Kelly Anne, because Susie might have been able to take her, or Katie vs. KA, because Katie might have been the one going home. ******* off your strongest girl, the one who has the capability to throw challenges and win almost every elimination, is NOT a smart move.
Correct, but the exiles in FM1 were not 6 miles long.
They were also much more "user friendly," that is, the trails were much more smooth, wide, and flat.
Thanks I wasn't sure how long they are so I guess it wouldn't be a fair comparison. Did they ever say how long the distance was for the original exiles on Fresh Meat?

I think it was 3 miles.

I was referring to The Island... and I agree that it wasn't necessary for him to be that way. In fact I strongly disliked Johnny on The Island (beforehand I liked him) and don't condone his behavior at all, but he probably figured he was in control so who's going to care if he's an *** to people?

So wait a minute, people actually think Wes is from the old school era? Wow.
Wes was a huge ********* back in the day as well and the only reason why people wanted to to come back was to lead an alliance against JEK. He failed. Miserably.
I lump Wes with the Johnny/Kenny/Evans/Paulas/Jenns of the challenges...no where near being old school.

I don't see Wes as old school either...but this made me curious, where do you think the line is between old school and new school?
I don't see Wes as old school either...but this made me curious, where do you think the line is between old school and new school?
I know you aren't asking me, but I believe for the most part it's been agreed that the line is drawn before the Austin season and the Fresh Meat challenge.
I don't see Wes as old school either...but this made me curious, where do you think the line is between old school and new school?
What came before Austin? Philly? I consider anything before Austin old school...so Austin/FM up is new school.
I'm not exactly sure where to put this, but does anybody else feel like the actual fresh meat are non-entities this season?
On the original season, I actually felt like I knew who Evan, Kenny, Casey, Diem, Linette, Eric, etc. were, but this season I see most of them as "Kenny's partner" or "Landon's partner", etc. I mean I know all of their names, but they really don't do anything it seems. Just my two cents.
I have been oddly enjoying this season though, considering how I am not a fan of most of the alumni cast.
Oh and I hate Wes and Ev for making me be on Team Kenny this time around... that should NEVER be the case.
Edited to add: I agree with the consensus that "old school" era is anything before Fresh Meat. Real Old School is probably anything before the Inferno, but the challenges really changed after Fresh Meat.
OLD skool, old skool would probably be the seasons before inferno 1. I believe the first inferno was the last challenge where it was still Real World vs. Road Rules. So I'm gonna say the last challenge that had the original premis would be prime of the series. Battle of the Sexes 2, Gauntlet 2, & Inferno 2 were the "mid years" with Fresh Meat being the new generation. I line is a little blurry between whats considered old skool. San Diego and Philly are definitely in a grey area. But Austin is definitely new skool.
Well, Ev and Ryan didn't get any storyline in FM1, look at how many challenges they've been on. Also, Linette was featured relatively a lot (her romance with Theo, friendship with Aviv/Diem, and I think Diem betrayed her?) and she never came back, so you never know.

Derek you are boring, sorry buddy. The only thing I can remember about you is when you got caught peeing or something, lol.
Brandon, Pete, Theresa and Laurel are the only fresh meaters who are getting storylines.
Expect them to become challenge *****s.
I completely agree and I think its lame too! I really want Noor to have more of a storyline. He's so hilarious and awesome. I really hope he returns for a ton of challenges.

makes no sense, since the the cast of inferno 1, was almost the same cast in battle of the sexes 2 , inferno 2, and gaunlet 2 (Some combination of: Mike, Coral, Veronica, Rachel, Tonya, Tina, Timmy, Katie, Julie). With FM 1 the cast started to change, and Austin as a season geared more towards what RW is now, compared to what it was before.

I consider The First 10 challenges Old school and Gauntlet 2 the transition to new school and San Diego is Old school while Philly to now is New school

I consider Fresh Meat/Austin "new school," but to each his own. I don't know about y'all, but I definitely want to see these New Meats on many more Challenges to come (even though the franchise is dying).
Hopefully they do Old School vs New School then the Duel 3 to close out the franchise. I don't know of a better format to close it out then the D3, every competitor wants it for a reason.

When you say new meats you mean Fresh Meats I wouldnt mind If the alumini crew was good and if they are similiar or better than the FM2 which surprised me since alot of them should have been on the RW as opposed to some that were chosen. Also if the girls are very upper body fit cause te girls seem to be upper body weak this season.
