You are so lucky that me and you (tatertots) are so close right now. I just had the worst game of the whole season with King Felix he lost massive points and now I 'm losing by one point. At least I still got Santana who usually is much better then Weaver.
Looks like my team deserted me today
Looks like my team deserted me today
Puma, you have no excuses today... My Sunday lineup has Furcal sitting. Mauer sitting. Youkilis sitting. The door is wide open! ;)
I'm so glad i picked Cano, he's breaking out.
Dear Desert Puma, A "friend of mine" told me to post this in the Fantasy baseball thread, but they didn't say why. Meow. YouTube - Crazy Frog - Na Na Na, Hey Hey Sincerely, Zeus
Ethier and Markakis. Yikes... They are tearing it up. Thanks to those who decided to toss them out with the trash. Approaching 400. :wink2:
Did you end up trading Verlander puma? Because I think he finally started playing.
Torii Hunter hit a two-out single off Verlander in the first, then the Angels failed to reach base until the ninth."That wasn't fair," Hunter said. "It was like PlayStation."
I think Edwin Jackson at -33 has to have set an all time fantasy record.
I think Edwin Jackson at -33 has to have set an all time fantasy record.
I'm so happy that Detroit got rid of him. I thought he was awful. And I think Detroit was his best year in the majors...
Wow B, you really dominated this week's play by being top scorer! Glad I'm leading by over 100 in my game. :D
Jimmy Rollins is still feeling tightness in his right calf and doesn't think he will be able to return within the next two weeks.
I kind of want to cry...but I'll******* up like the man that I am... I got zero points at shortstop this week and it didn't really affect the outcome. Guess I'll just stuff in the SS flier du jour for the next 3 or 4 weeks and hope for the best.
You want Reyes?
Offer me something.
I think Edwin Jackson at -33 has to have set an all time fantasy record.
Yeah F*** Edwin Jackson, today will be his last day on my team.
And the hits just keep on coming ... Brian Roberts will most likely be out the entire 1st half of the season AND Crawford did not play Sunday AND 7 players (including Sanchez, a pitcher) combined for a grand total of -2 pts. Yeah, two of the three above right there would be key reasons why Bacchus cruised to victory this Sunday. I'll hold on to Verlander a bit longer but he is still looking long in the tooth for the moment

Congrats B. I fell to 4th. :(
Nice ... but no one has had my luck so far with 3 high caliber players out ... and I still outscored 6 other players in the grand scheme of the week and missed 2 others by 11 points. All things considered, it still was not as horrible as it could have been and I don't think anyone else would have fared as well as I have.
Nice ... but no one has had my luck so far with 3 high caliber players out ...
You mean like, Rollins, Mauer and Youkilis? Headline from the league homepage: It is all about plugging holes. It is what separates the men (and women) from the boys (and girls.)
I believe only Rollins was already out so your other problems all happened just this week and you have not been carrying them since the 1st week of the season.

Ian Kinsler didnt play in his first game until this friday, i would say he is a bigger loss than Brian Roberts. Mark Teixierra might as well have been on the dl this entire time, yesterday was the first good game he has had. Nelson Cruz, who has been my best player so far is on the 15 day dl. And on top of that Edwin Jackson got me -33 points this week.
Kinsler vs Roberts is a subjective matter. Roberts went out on the very first game of the season, is non-droppable, AND will be out the entire 1st half of the season when normally he is a 5 category stud. Luckily, I had Martin Prado and I found some good replacements to hold on to for the moment. Ellsbury went out shortly after that and has not contributed much at all. De La Rosa goes down to hurt finger on his pitching hand and is now out for a month. Have you looked for some replacement players though? I know I have and found some. As for Edwin Jackson, I do feel your pain there.

I would say nearly half the players i started with are no longer on my team, including Edwin Jackson so feel free to pick him up :)
Naw, don't need Edwin ... I have a good crew of pitchers that is slowly improving, mainly Verlander, if Sanchez is on then he is on. His wildness has an obvious downside though.
I am watching the Red Sox game and walking a tight rope with my wishes... I want Clay to get roughed up a bit, but for Youk to dig him out of the hole with his bat (so the Sox win) and make sure it isn't close enough to offer a save situation for Pap. :D
That's only because those 2 guys are on my side! ;) Also, what's this winning by 9 runs stuff? I will not take any less than 12!
Actually, it was perfect, as Clay was run from the game without getting the quality start (yet, I wanted him to get the win as this is just fantasy baseball...) After he left, the Sox ran up the score. Glad I ended up playing Youk. I waited until the last minute when Francona announced tonight's lineup about an hour before the game. He probably got as many points tonight as any scrub would have gotten me in a week. ;)
Also, OF COURSE Peavy gets me +30 points today! Of course. I was debating and switching him in and out of my lineup for the week since he had 2 starts and was up against KC today but decided against it since he gave me a whopping -10 and 0 for the past two weeks. Of course he would finally step up and perform once I took him out of my line up! Ugh.
Looks like I'm in the lead in my match-up with Insider after last night :). For the past 3 weeks(including this), the preview has said I would lose, but it has been proven wrong thus far.
