The Challenge Series: RW/RR (Generic Thread)

Is it weird to me that I feel the cast members that have children would have more of an incentive to do a challenge? I mean it be a big opportunity to start a college fund or even just have extra money for the family. I understand people "move on" but just from some of the people that have come on with the intent to win money for their family I think is really admirable. If they have full time careers, that's good, but to not take the opportunity to win thousands is just strange to me. Kudos to Mj, Derrick, Cynthia, and Sean for doing the challenge for their families.

She at least went in to the Island Pit Thing. I really want to see JD, Josh, Mike, Callie, Jonna, Ayiia, Scott, Sandy, Sydney, Vinny, Noor, Luke, maybe Pete and Laurel, Brianna, Chet, Isaac and just based off pre show Ryan (Leslie), Eric and Sahar to all be on the next challanges. The FM2 girls are all really weak upper body wise except Cara and Laurel.

She probably didn't feel like risking a nasty toe infection for a small chance to win some money on an "island" that had really nothing to offer in terms of entertainment or competition.

I agree 100% about what you said, I just hate when people don't finish things! Other people could of had her spot.

Yeah it would've been nice if her spot went to Kendal, if Ash had just left the first week.

So I was wondering... If Coral and Evan hadn't been sent home early on Fresh Meat I, do you think that they would have won? Or do you think that Darrell and Aviv would have still won?

I really don't think Ashli quit at all! She went in and she tried even with her injured toe and she put up a good fight. So I wouldn't call her a quitter. And I think Coral/Evan would have won FM it would have been close though with Darrell/Aviv

We don't know if Coral and Evan would have won because missions do not reflect on the final mission. Look at G3, the Vets destroyed the Rookies, even Eric, yet lost the final. I know Evan is pretty decent with puzzles, not the best but decent, but Coral is no wizard. Darrell and Aviv won because Aviv was good at puzzles. If Coral and Evan were there, that doesn't mean Aviv wasn't good at puzzles anymore. Sure the game would have played out differently and Darrell and Aviv might not have been there at the end but if it was the same 3 teams and the 4th team like it was supposed to be, I think the winners wouldn't be so easily picked unlike how it was with the 3 teams. It would have been a race between C/E and D/A.

Evan seems to not be an idiot with puzzles, given The Duel II and the Gauntlet against Johnny, but I've never seen Coral's puzzle-solving skills. Plus, look at Tina--she was supposedly good at puzzles, and even she was seriously having trouble with them. So who knows how Evan would have handled them.

I don't want another rehashed Gauntlet 3 exchange about the Vets "losing" that final because a guy collapsed during it, and it's a poor example to use anyway. As far as FM1 is concerned, yes, Aviv's puzzle solving helped a great deal, but I think they still would have won that final against Kenny/Tina/Wes/Casey whether or not Aviv solved the puzzles. Darrell and Aviv were a much stronger overall team than the other two. Evan and Coral were as well, and I still think they would have beaten anyone in that final.

That would play a huge part in it too. I think if Coral and Evan were in the FM finals 1st and 2nd place would be a hard thing to predict. Evan and Coral are physically stronger then Darrell and Aviv but from what we've saw, Aviv was superior at puzzles. Sure Evan and Coral may have made it the puzzles faster but I think that Darrell and Aviv would have figured them out faster. It's like Brad vs Wes on the Duel. Wes had the 2 minute start advantage and Brad almost closed that entire two minute gap with the puzzles.

I'm not gay but my favorite gay guy on all of RR and RW and every Challenge is Norm. Why? He was the first gay man who showed me on RW1 that he was just a normal guy who happened to be gay. He never tried to emphasize it for everyone. He was just gay like he just liked Star Trek. It was part of who he was and no big deal. He was also the first gay man in a shower with 2 straight girls (Becky & Julie) on MTV.

Even as a straight guy, I appreciate Norman. I think it really started with him getting in Kevin's face over his argument with Julie. BOTSeasons was good but he was also very good on G1. I remember Darrell being surprised that Norman was a Golden Gloves boxer in his youth. He's just a normal guy who happens to be gay. No big deal.
