Well, let me give you guys some insight and spell it out for you as to how this whole thing will play out.
The only challenge formats that Chris will return to participate in are either a Duel or a Gauntlet. He isn't going to waste his time with Infernos or Ruins because he hates the team format for both. He's not going to get trampled all over with a bunch of losers and newbies on a Ruins and he isn't going to go through the agony again of being on a team full of people who write checks with their mouth that they can't cash on the playing field.
It would be quite easy for him to get rid of Evan in a Duel format. Just convince everybody that Evan has proven he is a threat to win a Duel and also remind them that he has eliminated Evan on a Duel. It would be in their best interest to pit two of the biggest threats to win against each other because you have a 100% chance of getting rid of at least one early in the game, plus some of these other castmembers that get played like pawns by Evan wouldn't have to worry about having that happen with him not around. Evan totally controlled the Duel 2 and it was ridiculous because there were plenty of people there that could've done something about it if they had a calculating mind for the game like CT working for them.
Getting Evan in there in a Gauntlet format would be rather easy as well. All he has to do is throw a challenge and convince the other team to put him in with the guarantee he will get his team to put Evan in there with him; thus, again, a guarantee of getting rid of at least one of the strongest opponents standing in their way. How does he get his team to put Evan in there with him? Well, remind them all that he is CT and that they stand a very slim chance at beating him. That should be more than enough for them to throw Evan under the bus. As a team leader and strategizer on Inferno 2 and Gauntlet 3, he did a very good job at making sure the bulk of his team made it to the end if they played their cards right and carried their own weight on the playing field. He made sure the deserving people were kept around. Evan, on the other hand, was the mastermind in brainwashing everybody on the team on Gauntlet 3 that they couldn't throw Eric in because they wouldn't be able to beat him. Chris plays the game with confidence and aggression, Evan plays the game cowardly and passive. Who would you want leading your squad?
If that was true, then why didn't CT put Eric in the Gauntlet when he had the chance? CT seemed to be Eric's biggest cheerleader/defender.
Well, some of the logic behind nobody on the team being able to defeat Eric was true, to an extent. Plus, why risk losing Evan to Eric when you can throw him in and get rid of a loudmouth punk on a bum ankle like Johnny? CT had absolutely no fear of going up against Eric in a Gauntlet but it was never going to happen under that game structure. Other assets to the team like Brad, Adam, and Kenny would've stood virtually no chance against Eric.
Unless they got Ball Brawl and were able to outrun Eric (I have no idea what kind of a sprinter he is). Or, of course, Slider.
During the Duel 2's "Luging My Mind" challenge he said in something along the lines of "The Big Easy don't sprint". So he's not a sprinter at all lol
Unless they got Ball Brawl and were able to outrun Eric (I have no idea what kind of a sprinter he is). Or, of course, Slider.
Yeah but it was only a 2/5 chance that they would get Ball Brawl or Sliders. Odds weren't on their side.

Actually it was 1/4. Ball Brawl was done at the previous gauntlet (Jillian Vs Brooke) so it wasn't on the wheel that round so it was either Sliders, Force Field, Ankle Breaker or Ram It Home.
But like you said, the odds still weren't on his side

Oh my bad, I didn't know that it was taken off the board like that.
No, odds weren't on their side, but it's sad that they would still let something like that stop them from putting him in when they had the chance. Especially on that challenge, where the final was EVERYTHING, and it's no secret that it's always an endurance mission.
Oh well. Guess we can't expect them to "take one for the team".
In all fairness for ball brawl Eric could have just stood there and waited for the person to come back. I think that someone could have potentially beaten Eric in Ankle Breaker as this was before MJ went and as Frank proved a massive weight advantage can still cause you to lose if you outsmart your opponent.
True he did dodge around Danny in that respect but Eric is huge amd the area wasn't that big, it would be similar to what he did on the Duel 2 agianst Derrick his offense would just be stopping the other person.
But didn't Frank argue against putting C.T in the gauntlet claiming that he would pick Eric or something like that?
That is 100% accurate. Frank & CT had a lot of conversations about the game and Frank knew what CT would do if he was sent in. Eric only outweights CT by 25-30 pounds and is nowhere near his physical strength when it comes to what they can throw around in the weightroom; I don't even think Eric works out. His weight advantage wouldn't have meant anything against CT, he would've been pushed around the sand almost as easily as Brad was.

Too bad it didn't happen like that. Eric seems like a fun guy but he brings nothing to the competition.
CT is a great competitor and I miss him on the challenges... I would loved to see him on the ruins! He would eleminated JEK in an instant
I'd rather see him take care of what's going on in his personal life than appear on some television show.
I live in Az and I'm fairly certain he stays away from them since they burnt his trust.
I'm sorry but what does Arizona have to do with CT? lol
My point was that I live far away from but am still informed enough to know the truth of that matter.
Oh okay, makes sense now. I read it like the reason you knew this was because you live in Arizona.

I personally think a Ruins format would fit him moreso than a Gauntlet format, because in a Gauntlet, you can still carry dead weight with you to the end of a challenge and wind up with nothing (G3), whereas the Ruins, the individual incentive is much greater. I actually Think the Ruins is the best team format game of the challenges but needs a little tweaking. I think some of the elimination games were pretty silly (kicking bamboo sticks, untangling rope, and turning a water wheel).
