I think maybe thats only because of their ages. I think Emily could be a good leader but maybe they wouldnt listen to her since she'd be one of the youngest cast members on a challenge. People say that they usually go for rookies, which is true, but I can't help but also think that they usually go for the younger cast members too. I mean yes they try and get rid of Beth cause they feel she's "old" but I can't see any of those egos listening to a rookie girl whose around 20-21 when they're all veterans in their late 20's.
the rookie excuse is getting OLD! It started on BOTS2 and there never was no "rookies go first" before that. CT was the best male competitor in Inferno 1 and he was a "rookie". Mallory was deemed the most valuable competitor in Inferno 1 and that was her first challenge. Darrell's first challenge was the Gauntlet 1, and his name was never even mentioned in deliberation until the last episode. Same goes for a lot of the castmembers..it seems like an excuse to use nowadays to get rid of people they don't like.

ITA This whole Rookies gotta pay their dues **** is old and they need to stop it. I feel like people who are new to the challenges need to be given a chance like on the earlier challenges.
The Alliances that are created by veterans do it so they can weed out people faster, save themselves from possibly going into Elimination, and it makes the decision of who to send in easier.
Do I agree with it? No. I'd like to see them attempt on someone who turns the tables on them in Elimination or in something like the Duel start picking off those people who suggested they get dumped into it. It would be like Patrick from RR14 showing up to get dumped into it and taking out Evan in the first round creating a shockwave amongst the competition.

See THIS is what I like to see. I really want someone (or a group) to come and change the dynamics of the challenges and make people question their alliances someone needs to shake these challenges up.
And don't you mean Patrick From RR13?
I want someone to break that mold and shatter those Alliances that keep forming and putting people out repeatedly until they take on the ringleaders who are forced to deal with them only for the ringleaders to lose. When the pariah wins, he refuses to become part of the ringleaders latest Alliance and forges a new path in these Challenges. ... I'd do it but I'm too old for the demographic MTV wants and they'd bounce during the process to get on the show as it is because I won't kowtow to everything they want.

Yeah see THAT needs to happen. Someone needs to shake these challenges to the core.
I'd like to also see a shift to a point based event so you can really tell who puts forth the effort and make EVERYONE try harder so some don't try to skate through it all.
I think a ladder tournament would be great for this i.e. everyone competes in individual faceoffs each round and if you win you move to the next round and if you lose you go home, it's that simple.
I agree ... and then you and your opponent in the next round are randomly determined and slotted. Otherwise, it becomes too simple to just watch the brackets and nothing else.
Whats your favorite Challenge house?
Mine would be The Inferno 2. That house was so nice! I'm sick of castmates sleeping on bunk-beds in tiny rooms! They used to have individual beds in big rooms. In Battle of the Sexes 1 they had beds that had those mosquito nets that could cover the whole bed. Some of the beds were doubles rather than singles!
The gauntlet 1 and 2 both had really nice houses too.
I hated the G1 house it was so ranchy looking. Although I loved how Rachel (B2NY) AND sARAH were always doing dishes.
Ranchy or Raunchy?
And why do Coral's ***** always look enormous on these shows?
Couple questions. In the Duel Tyler called out Johnny and Johnny was saying he did what he think he should do and he didn't seem to have any anger towards him. Then on G3, he had all this built up animosity, where did that come from? I guess that one isn't a question, but I think it's kind of weird that Evan and Wes and going to Brads wedding and Evan pretty much despises Wes.
Actually Evan and Wes were good friends at point, don't read into everything too much. And Evan and Wes are groomsmen, but even if they did have beef, what would that have to do with Brad and his wedding? Brad considers both good friends obviously, so I don't get how its weird.
This may be a stupid question but what is the main difference between Gauntlets and Infernos?
In gauntlets, someone goes home after every mission and team mates are facing off. In infernos, opposing team mates are facing off, and are eliminated every other mission.
This may be a stupid question but what is the main difference between Gauntlets and Infernos?
Also Gauntlet is usually rookies vs. vets where the infernos are good guys vs. bad *****. The first Inferno and Gauntlet were RW vs. RR though.
This may be a stupid question but what is the main difference between Gauntlets and Infernos?
The teams and the way in which people are eliminated. On Infernos each team picks a person from the opposite team to send into the elimination. In Gauntlets the losing team has to send two players from their own team. One player that the opposing team picks and one your own team picks.
