One of the Rhode Island police officers competing on the current season of "The Amazing Race" has been taken off the streets in the wake of an internal investigation into a major cop-operated c ocaine ring. According to the Rhode Island State Police, Louie Stravato has been put on "desk duty" -- after his name came up in a "four month" investigation into a "large-scale" c ocaine distribution operation. Three officers were arrested in a sting operation -- but Stravato was not among them. According to Captain David S. Neill, Stravato was among 4 officers assigned to the desk work following the investigation. Captain Neill would not comment on the nature of Stravato's involvement in the case. Calls to CBS were not returned.
[via]
That looks to be some really bad news going his way. I had a question about these guys. Since they are undercover cops wouldn't them being on an internationally broadcasted show hurt their chances of going unnoticed to the people they are following/investigating?
You know I was gonna mention that he looked kind of strung out...but thought "nah, he's a cop. Cops are good." Clearly I was delusional. Cops aren't good.
I liked his answer to the question people would be surprised to learn about you. Could there be a more fitting question to ask him now.
I wish I could say I was surprised by this but I'm really not, they both seem a little "off" to me.
The cop who was eliminated from the current season of "The Amazing Race" has finally caught a break -- he's been cleared of any wrongdoing in a massive drug investigation. According to the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office, Detective Louis Stravato is officially back on the streets after investigators declared that he and another detective had nothing to do with a large-scale ******* distribution ring. The two men had been assigned to "desk duty" during the course of the operation. Louis and his "Amazing Race" partner came in 4th place on the reality show competition.
[via]
Good job baby.
