Broduer isn't playing so the Russia game may very well be close. Can't believe how bad he played in that game.

I think you're the only Canadian that posts here...care to answer the question I posed earlier?
So...Canadians don't take their hats off for their national anthem?
Yes no one really does takes off their hats. (Unless it's said over the P.A. system)
Broduer isn't playing so the Russia game may very well be close. In the NHL... most times he only has to make the first save... but here he has a defense system that isn't used to playing together, and the other teams are getting more rebounds...
Brodeur was clearly the best goalie... ...in NHL '93 for the Sega, but I'm not sure how he compares to the new talent (like Miller) over 17 years later. p.s. Tie Domi was the man! (although Probert gets the best of him here.) YouTube - NHLPA '93 - Bloody Game

I totally agree with Domi! He might not have been able to skate well but he could fight with the best of them! LOL
Actually Ed Belfour was probably the best goalie in NHL '93 (the game) and with Jeremy Roenick and Chris Chelios, the Blackhawks were tough to beat. That being said, I'd still play my Bruins and Cam Neely had a near blue line slap shot that went in every time no matter who the goalie was...haha - which of course is when the real fights broke out! "This game sucks! That is not fair! I blocked it!" Oh, the memories... You couldn't even go to a keg party in the mid 90's and not see a TV, Sega, NHLPA 93 (or NHL 94 but they removed fighting so most people skipped it) and 4 controllers with a line to get dibs on next game. Now that I think back, it was pretty sad. :D

Dear Sven Kramer: Staying in the right lane always helps. xoxo, Vancouver
Looks like another gold for Canada. To bad were in 5th for medals though. Also next up for the hockey team Russia. Should be a great game.
I am really glad that NBC didn't screw up and miss Joannie Rochette's performance. I can't even begin to imagine what she's going through...and I hope she nails it.
I am really glad that NBC didn't screw up and miss Joannie Rochette's performance.
I really wish I knew what you were talking about. Of course, I have a special API programmed into my TV Guide (and mind) that avoids lace adorned people on skates. That aside, if I knew when she was going to perform at a certain time, I would have watched, for sure. (Alright...in that I did admit I knew what you were talking about.)
I'm watching Hockey, ****it. The "Man's" sport on skates.
I'm watching Hockey, ****it. The "Man's" sport on skates.
I prefer hockey to figure skating any day of the week, but that performance was huge. I didn't want to miss it.
I prefer hockey to figure skating any day of the week, but that performance was huge. I didn't want to miss it.
I'll be honest...I wish I saw it. I was busy and it slipped my mind. The good news is it will be on all day tomorrow. :D
Time for some hockey!
What?! No curling? How will I survive!!!??!!! :D
What?! No curling? How will I survive!!!??!!!
I totally agree! I especially like watching the Russian women's team, because of thier, um...talent.
I totally agree! I especially like watching the Russian women's team, because of their, um...talent.
Haha, subtle. So very subtle. I'd like to see them rock the diamond pants! I think the Russian outfits are my favorite though. I love the curly design they have on everything, even the cars they are driving around. Their jackets were the ones I noticed the most on fans walking around Vancouver, definitely eye-catching. I need to go somewhere cold again so I can start rocking this! That is a sweet jacket. ****it...that goal was sooooo close. .2 seconds too late. :(
That is a sweet jacket. ****it...that goal was sooooo close. .2 seconds too late. :(
I know!! these hockey games have been unreal! I'm hating the NHL more and more! LOL
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallll!
I know!! these hockey games have been unreal! I'm hating the NHL more and more! LOL
During the regular season, most NHL players just phone it in. This has a different feel and an unrivaled intensity level. This is hockey at its best.
Goooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllll! And that is match.
USA!!!! Great game!!!!! Next up Russia-Canada! Can't wait to watch that!!! It's a shame this isnt getting better billing... I bet it would help the NHL...
So I got a screen grab that kind of shows me at the men's figure skating final! NBC was the only one that backed up enough to see us in the upper tier. I lightened it a little and messed with the contrast a bit so you could see the blurry red blob that is me better. Luckily I wore a red and black check jacket so I stood out a little more. :D
I can't believe the Russia Canada game was such a letdown! I thought that was gonna be the clash of the Titans!!!
You look a little different than I thought you would, lol. Cool that you have a great Olympic memory and a photo to prove you were there. :D
I can't believe the Russia Canada game was such a letdown! I thought that was gonna be the clash of the Titans!!!
It was a good game, if you were a Canadian, hehe. Did you watch any of the US/Swiss game? There were cheers for every call against the United States and I didn't see that many Swiss flags in that stadium. I think "someone" has it out for us. Watching tonight's performance, and watching the game on Sunday - the US (if we do get to the gold medal round) will have to once again beat a better team (again assuming because the Canadians beat their biggest challenge in their ladder, they will coast.) There is no question the Canadians have more talent, but do they have more heart? I have noticed, the old school American players have a lot less teeth compared to the nouveau Canadian stars. Maybe that is telling...
