How is this not on nbc?
NBC would rather have ice dancing and clips of the Super combo from 6 hours ago...
NBC's coverage has been a disaster, and they have been rewarded with ratings 28% higher than 2006. :(
I understand why, being I still watch. I'm just ******...

That's the spirit, Team USA!!
I'm really looking forward to the Women's hockey rematch with Sweden...that has been in the news lately.
Watching the Bode Miller win and the USA v Canada game right now. I was driving back yesterday so I missed it. Such a great high energy game! Love it!
It's also nice to know the good outcome ;)
I wouldn't be surprised if women's hockey wasn't around too much longer. There's absolutely no competition. Just like softball...
Yeah, it is really too bad. But it is a good sign that countries are still starting women's programs. It's just something that needs a little time to develop. I think the next winter Olympics will be the real test. It will give the newer teams time to develop and I think if the outcomes are still just as lopsided it won't be coming back after that.
Hehe...gotta love it.

EDIT: Meh, I think they just took the gold, but their performance was more boring than the Americans.
That was a pity, "homer" score. They have the Gold.
This is why I don't watch arbitrarily judged "sports."
Alright, the die has been cast. I'll tune back in tomorrow for events where lace is not mandatory.
OK...I'm trying to figure this out.
Tanith Belbin is a really pretty girl. Ben Agosto, her partner, is...not doing well in the looks department.
Charlie White is a decent looking guy and might be better looking if he buzzed his hair. As I said earlier, Meryl Davis looks like she's from Avatar.
Why not pair Belbin and White? Get the (clearly) genetically superior people together! :D

Rumor is that Tanith and Charlie are paired together off the ice. Ben is charming. He and Tanith are a good skating team, although Ben is said to be the stronger skater. A few people think he should have had a different partner.
The Canadians deserved the win, even though their free dance was a bit overscored, IMO. They performed excellently throughout the whole competition. I am happy for them and Davis/White. It's amazing that a Canadian and U.S. team are in the top two spots! And Belbin/Agosto in fourth makes two U.S. teams in the top five, at an Olympics? Awesome! I just wish B/A would have gotten the bronze. They really were the first breakthrough team for the U.S. in so many decades. It's been really satisfying to see a U.S. team receive so many accolades. Hopefully Davis/White will continue for another quadrennium, and I'd like to see Tanith and Ben skate another season or two.
Meryl does have quite a striking look. I thought she was unusual looking when I first saw her. Sometimes she looks kind of different (in not the best way), but sometimes she looks different and quite pretty.
I usually like the Russians - Domnina/Shabalin - as well, but their original dance is disgraceful. I could not really get into their programs this season, except the compulsory dance. They were really fierce in the first round!
Ave Maria? Really?
I want to see someone rock out. These songs would put me to sleep.
Did you see the Kerrs skate to Linkin Park?
Ah, I did not. Only tuned in to the last group.
I liked their performance. They do different types of programs from the other dancers (at least, in the free dance), and they usually do cool stuff. I think part of it is because they are siblings. Don't want to see a romantic type of skate from them. They were kind of icky with one of their moves from last night, though.
Team USA actually has me hopeful that they can win gold in hockey this time around and I might actually tune in for some games. Definitely not watching any figure skating or anything like that though.

Yeah me too! they've been a fun team to watch! I thought I was gonna have to root for the Russians to beat the Canadiens! LOL
