They won AFTER blowing the lead. ;)
Ah, I just went online and checked. At least they got one in...right? Can we pull the "we beat the Swedes and the Swedes beat the Brits, so we're gonna kill the Brits" line? That always made me feel better going into games :D
Apollo ran a good race. Short track is tough, as anything can happen. I wasn't expecting him to take Gold (although you'd think it was a given with all the hype.) The South Koreans are amazing short track skaters and I was just amazed that Ohno came from the back of the pack after a mishap and found the podium.

Good to hear it was a good race. It's not on here for another 3 hours or so. I already ruined the results because you know, I checked ESPN/MSN when I forgot for a second that I should really go into complete media blackout for the next 2 weeks.
Duh, me! You should know better than to try and be involved and informed during some of the most exciting athletic moments of your time! How could you think that you should know anything about the world while NBC will package it all up so nicely for you 12 hours too late and way past your bedtime?
The worst thing about being back in the states today is that I now have to suffer through NBC coverage. I want Canada back! :weep:
Edit: They better not hold out the Canada v USA hockey game tomorrow! That would just be unforgivable.
The hockey games in general tommorrow are going to be great. 1st you have Canada vs. Us for the bye game which will be great.2nd The sweeden vs Finland game will also be great. These teams are both very good and I think it's a rematch of the last olympics final game for the gold.3rd russia vs. Cheks this will agian be a great game. Alex is amazing and the cheks are solid this year. Also I was massively disapointed Charles Hamelin didn't medal as he is the world record holder for the 1000 metre race.

It is going to be on MSNBC as to not mess up their Ice Dancing, hehe.
So, it will be live.
I check ESPN, NBC Olympics, etc. every 20 minutes or so all day. I want to know what is happening, so I ruin everything. I've just given up on being surprised. I'm bitter about it, being the Vancouver setup (time zone wise) is perfect for a live Olympics, but alas NBC is all about the bottom line and could care less about what Americans want.
I really hope ESPN/ABC outbids them for the 2014 games...
Heck, I'll pull for anyone that will show the games live.
London is going to be a horror show. Technology will have progressed by two years (which is a lifetime in this age) yet, NBC will stick to its 1976 guns.

That's good but it stinks it won't be on a channel everyone gets. It may not be the medal game but it is definitely a really big game and hopefully a preview to the final match!
I really hope something different happens for London, but I won't hold my breath.

Well, I guess 95 million households have MSNBC out of a projected 114 Million households, so that is a pretty good reach. It is not like most Americans really care about hockey anyway. Heck, even though all of Canada only has the population of California, I bet more Canadians than Americans will watch!
Of course, I'll be watching (while flipping back and forth over to TAR.)
Canada vs. US Women Curling, Whoo hoo!
Um...**** I am watching a lot of curling! Probably makes up 50% of my Olympic viewing thus far (mostly because the games are so long and all the marquee sports are aired on tape delay and cut down into edited 10 minute bites.)
Great hockey game, although it is starting to slip away from the Czechs.
The Russians are always tough - although they don't have a line with Pavel Bure, Alexander Mogilny and Sergei Federov in their prime anymore! (That was scary.)
I really love the Nothing But Curling network! Sure, they could show the full Super Combined, but instead we will get 15 minutes of it...
Oh well. I guess I am actually enjoying the US/GB match.
In other hockey news:
The two North American [women's] powers are so far out in front that it’s doubtful any one of the six other nations could beat the Americans or Canadians if they were spotted a four-goal lead.

Heading into Monday’s semifinal round, Canada has outscored opponents 41-2 in three games of pool play. The U.S. has a 31-1 edge in goals.

The fear among some players and coaches is that if women’s hockey doesn’t get more competitive in a hurry it won’t be an Olympic sport for much longer. It seems like a reasonable fear. The International Olympic Committee already gave softball the boot for the 2012 Summer Games in London for what has been widely speculated to be a lack of overall competitiveness.
At the 2004 Summer Games in Athens, the U.S. softball team outscored its opponents 51-1 on its way to its third consecutive Olympic gold. Through two rounds of pool play in Vancouver, the U.S. and Canada had combined to outscored its opponents 53-2.
Oh...and at least the Canadians have a sense of humor about the "Own the Podium" controversy...
"We have always been a fourth to be reckoned with," joked Chris Rudge, chief executive officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee.
Haha...
Drat.
Ryan Miller might be the best goalie in the NHL right now based on stats, but he can't stop everything. The US just needs to continue to fight and hope for more defensive turnovers to keep ahead of the Canadian offensive onslaught.
2-2
This game is just amazing! A break away for US, followed by a break away for Canada, followed by a break away for the US - And nobody scored. Amazing goaltending. Insane pace.
