American Idol Season 9 - Discussion

Someone definately needs to tell them that it's just a show. That is just insane.

"Nashville girl" was awful, but I knew that when they let her through. Seems like a sweetheart, but not a pop star.

Ok...so now all the people they actually showed us are going home one by one...

Janell Wheeler. Top 10 for sure. Finally, a voice that grabs me. I wanted to hear the entire song.

I'm going to add after the fact (since googling her name) that I am not a big Tim Tebow fan (just because I hate the Gators) but - I won't hold that against her. ;)

I'm not watching yet. I'll be home soon.

I agree...wrong song for Maddy, but I see promise.

I wonder how much pull Ellen is allowed, for real. My guess is, at this point...Randy (a little) and Simon (more) along with the Producers (a lot) run the show. Ellen and what's her name are just along for the ride. :D

Didi was great. She hooked my with the chorus and should be at least in the top 24.

I liked the single mom at the end!

Andrew Garcia, the guy who sang Paula Abdul, was amazing. I think he will go far. The guy who's wife was in labor was good too. My favorite girl was the waitress that went in the final group.

On idol I have never heard anything as good as Didi Benami's Terrified. That was phenomenal.

I pick her as my early favorite. She's attractive and has it all. I have a crush.

Holy ****. Put me on the DiDi love train. In my opinion, she doesn't even need this show. RUN Didi! RUN! Someone saw you, and you're amazing. You don't need this.

It almost sounded as if Kara wrote that song for her. And she should have. It's so much better than the original. She was the only person i think managed to do that with the exception of maybe Garcia.

The first girl group sounds pretty girl. I like the tone of Charity Vance's voice.

I'm not a big fan of the groups. It creates interesting dynamics, but there is something lost. The stand out solos last night were amazing, I am not sure we are going to see that tonight.

I don't like this part of it either. While it's still individual, you have to rely on other people to have it sound good...meh.

I don't know why they do groups anyway. This isn't a group competetion. The winner will not be part of a group. I think it's a waste of time. I'm sorry that I missed last night. I much prefer the solos as well.

Awful hair, no bueno. Should not have gone through. I hope the second group blows them out of the park.

I think Destiny's Wild was much better than pink hair.

Those glasses are NOT AWESOME.

#1. Molds, you are absolutely wrong. Those glasses were almost as awesome as the dance moves she busted out. #2. Hey kidnap kid! If it was your dream, maybe you shouldn't have went to sleep early.
