Undercover Boss

Did anyone catch Undercover Boss after the Super Bowl? Each week the boss of a major corporation works incognito as an entry-level worker in his/her own company to find out how it really works and identify some of the unsung heroes among the workers. YouTube - Undercover Boss - Sneak Peek I didn't appreciate the fact that they insist on "ruining" all the best parts before the show even starts (I hate all shows that do extended introductions with all the highlights...) but I just hit mute. Overall, I thought it was fun and interesting. I have a feeling my enjoyment of a given episode will fully depend on the CEO. I plan to watch next week, but I don't think it is going to be a breakout hit. Actually, it feels just like that show on Fox last year where a rich person goes undercover amongst "poor people" and at the end, donates to their cause...

I wad thinking the same thing Bac. As I watched I struggled to remember the name of that show. I only remember there was a guy working at a little motel and his brother came to visit. Overall, I enjoyed the show. The CEO was great and the employees were all a joy. Some of it felt staged. I've never seen so many people prepare gifts for their trash people.

The trash just disapears, lol. Also, they went through great pains to choose the perfect employees with backstory, which was very clear. The only reason these companies would participate in this show would be with the knowledge that they are going to look good in the end. I kind of felt bad for poor "Double Dock" Kevin. He got the short end of the stick in this episode. Can you imagine...you are at some menial middle management job for a giant trash company and you get called to corporate headquarters to get berated by the President/COO? Haha...I promise you that was the first time that EVER happened in [I]any[/I] company. There are like 40 levels of managers above him that would have fired him well before it reached upper management... The look on Kevin's face was priceless. Like he just got castrated on National Television.

Have they explained the reason for the cameras to the employees. There are to many angles for there not to be a production crew following them. The PC term for trash person is now sanitation engineer.

I watched it, but I didn't really want to. I surfed my TV guide for 10 minutes and finally gave in. I liked it, I don't expected every episode to be quite as moving or touching though. I got a little teary eyed when the admin assist/ do all jobs but get paid for one... got a promotion and raise. I can definitely relate.

I seriously can't believe that they didn't fire "Jimbo". That to me says a lot more about the company and it's principles than this whole undercover experiment did. "Go apologize to your staff". Really? That's it? That guy was a jerk all around. I'm pretty disgusted by it actually, and more-so because they actually kept him.

Tonights episode was a good one! It was good to see a CEO not only realize what needs to be done to fix the company, but also the individual employees. Next week looks interesting. White Castle Boss will go undercover; wonder if he meets Harold & Kumar?!

I had no idea they did all of there own baking....

I'm still watching. I like this show. It is not a first choice program, but worth the DVR time. It feels fake at the end, but there is enough payoff for me to fit it in my schedule.
