I wonder if Amber badmouths Gary to his family and blows stuff out of proportion? Before he moved back home to let Amber live in his place with Leah, it was the three of them together. Maybe his family didn't see things going on, Amber called them a lot to gripe, and they mainly have her side of the story. I don't know. I do think based on the depiction of their lives on the show, Gary could spend a little more time with Leah at some point after work and studying so that Amber can have a bit of a break. And I think he could have cleaned up after himself. So perhaps he is a bit lazy - maybe he's always been a bit so and his family knows it. Again, don't know, just thinking.
I think Amber's main issue is that she did not want to be stuck watching Leah all the time. She wanted to have an escape from it sometimes. I can understand why she would - it's exhausting to watch a baby all the time. I think that's one of the reasons she's made a big deal about going to classes for her GED (though it's only six hours a week) - it's something for her to do, something to get her out of the house (in addition to it being something to help her for the future). Something just for Amber that didn't involve her being a mom for the most part. Gary didn't have to watch Leah much because he worked and then signed up for classes, and I think she resented him "getting to be away from home responsibilities" all the time (this is how I think she saw it - I personally think Gary was simply taking care of himself and his family). I am happy she got a job - it will make her feel much better about herself, and that's something she needs since she's depressed. I do hope she learns to appreciate the fact that Gary is working and supporting his daughter and also supported Amber as well. Yes, it is his duty to take care of his daughter, but she didn't really seem to care that he was working and taking care of them while she was unemployed and without a diploma.
I agree with your thoughts on Tyler and Catelynn (I teared up when he was talking about how he'd found his love at such a young age).
Ryan sure wasn't very encouraging to Maci, was he? I am confused on something - is Maci working two jobs and going to school? That was the impression I got - I thought she had a job working for her parents and then she got the bartending job, but maybe she stopped the job with her parents and the bartending job became her only job. If she was working two jobs (technically three, since being a mom is a job in itself) and going to school, I can see how she'd want to drop her classes. But putting Bentley in daycare would help her to do her studying. Now she's not taking classes, but Bentley is still going to daycare?
Farrah - still has issues, even though she has put much more effort into looking after her daughter. I completely understand her mom's frustrations with her, but I can't condone the alleged choking situation. That's too much, and they need to live apart. It's very unfortunate Debra let herself snap to that point. I'm sure Farrah could stay with those grandparents of hers who seem to think she can do no wrong.
I'm going to miss all the girls except Farrah, she heavily annoyed me. But im really going to miss Maci, she was always my fav. I think this will be the last time we see the group of 4 before the next prego girls get the Teen Mom time slot.
I really hope Amber makes it, Gary is way older then her and really needs to make wiser decisions.
BTW, according to the police offer, Debra was ordered to put the knives down twice, because the first time she wouldn't. So I do feel sorry for Farrah, and I think there is a lot to the story we are missing.

Pretty good numbers. I enjoyed this show. I never watched them when they were on 16 & Pregnant, it was Butch who got me into this show and I liked Ryan as well for being my eye candy. This show makes show #2 on MTV that I watch.

I have totally missed this thread...I LOVE this show! Josh and Caitlynn's episode made me cry, and they continue to touch me with their maturity at their age.
I am also on the Maci love train! She is such an amazing mom- if only she could break away from the relationship with Ryan and realize that it's healthier for a baby to have a happy mom alone than to have two miserable parents.

It was really good last night. Though, as per usual, Ryan completely disgusted me. He literally could. not. care. less. He put a whole $12 towards Bentley's birthday party, then had the nerve to say to the [I]baby[/I] "Guess what I'm not buying you a f-ing birthday cake." Wow Ryan, wow. God he is just absolutely vacant, no feelings for ANYONE. I'm glad Macy finally left him (again), and I pray she stays away for good this time. She might as well just file for sole custody of Bentley and make Ryan pay child support. As far as everything else (birthdays/holidays) he obviously doesn't care to be around for those either. He has got to be one of the biggest jerks I have ever been made aware of.
Farrah, it was nice to see her make an effort, though I can't help but think it was merely an act for the purposes of a redemption story arc. :p Either way, Sophia is a doll.

I know.. this whole season I kept wanting Ryan to change & get with it! I held out so much hope from him after the reunion last year... but he really does just seem empty... He keeps making statements like him & Maci wouldn't talk if it wasn't for Bentley... but really what does he have to do with Bentley?
I felt bad for Maci too, when she was with her friends... I know they were trying to be supportive, but at the same time they always seem to be coming down on her for being with Ryan, I get it... but that doesn't make it any easier on Maci, constantly feeling like she has to explain herself... I felt really bad for her...
It's hard to take Farrah seriously given what's going on in the news... It's nice to see her & her mom getting along... but we know what there future holds!!!
