That is really sad and my heart goes out to his family. :(
Well both of the teams i picked to go to the superbowl are gone so my new superbowl pick is the Jets vs. The Vikings.
I can't believe how San Diego just threw that game away. They pretty much only did anything in the 4th quarter and yet they if they wouldn't have missed even one of those field goals a different result could have happened.

They kicked it away. I have never seen Kaeding so inconsistent. Ever. I think they said that he missed more FGs in this game than he did the entire regular season.
At least I got my wish to see a close game... I didn't get the big deal with the late td from the Vikings... let a team score all they want I say, records have to be set somehow. If you can't stop them, go home. (Yes sadly I know a lot about this concept being that I am a native son of Cleveland) :dash1:
I absolutely hate the jets. But they're defense played exellent int hat second half. San diego also played way too passively I have to agree though that Nate Kaeding did wint he game for them.
I can't wait for the Saints vs. Colts superbowl... it is going to be epic Brett Favre.. I'm sorry, but the Superdome is where old **** qbs go to retire. Just ask Kurt Warner after he got clocked during the game this weekend.
Well, I was at DarkCon all weekend long and heard the Cardinals lost. I didn't even see the game. A friend of mine called me and told me not to bother. I'm not upset, disappointed maybe but not upset. If I was going to be watching the rest of the postseason, I'd hope for the Saints to go all the way. In case you are wondering, I only watch as long as my team is playing so I'm done for the year. I'll watch the draft but no more games until preseason. You'd be surprised how quiet the roads are on Superbowl. I've only seen 1 Superbowl in the past 15+ years.

I think it's kind of ridiculous that you won't watch it. It almost sounds like you're a sore loser since your team isn't there any more. The Superbowl is usually a great game. I think it's almost better when you're not invested in a team so you won't be upset at who the winner is.
Haha Romo chokes once again! I love it!
:( I wanted to chant P-I-C-K PICK PICK PICK, but I couldn't all because of the Jets winning. :(

It was a quiet relaxing day and I enjoyed it. Since then, I've always done this. It started with the Phoenix Suns and has carried over to any sport I follow. You'd be surprised how much free time it opens up during the year not to think or follow it. Watching a just released film during the Superbowl guarantees you quiet. Two years ago, I ended up working on a home game I was running and getting a lot of work done.

I can definitely see how most work areas (with the exception of bars/restaurants, of course) would be dead. Maybe it's just because I don't die-hard follow any football team in particular. I've been a Colts and Saints fan (although admittedly only a Saints fan because I love Drew Brees) for a couple of years now, but I become pretty apathetic when it comes to the NFL in particular. I'll watch the Super Bowl because I find it entertaining, but don't have much invested in any team. With that being said, I'm hoping for Colts-Saints. That way I'll be happy either way. ;)
Normally I don't care what the Vikings do but I have to admit that Favre has me interested. It'd be fun to see him and Manning go head to head in the Super Bowl. Either way I feel that we'll see more closely contested games next weekend or at least I hope so.
With the success of the Jets this post season it got me thinking how good the texans would have been this post season as I saw it they were much better then the jets especially right before the playoffs.
THE COLTS! 20-3? Really? I hope the Jets bring a Challenge.....With Braylon Edwards they probablly will.

BTW Nate Kaeding has a history of missing kicks against the Jets in the postseason and San Diego's coaches also seem to make bad decisions in the postseason. The Jets won fair and square, seemed to me that the Chargers were not bringing their A game and they had too many costly penalties. Let the haters talk all they want I hope the Jets take it to the Colts next week and make it to the big game.
THE COLTS! 20-3? Really? I hope the Jets bring a Challenge.....With Braylon Edwards they probablly will.
As someone who watched Braylon Edwards in college, I think he's past his prime.
As someone who watched Braylon Edwards in college, I think he's past his prime.
Braylon has the tools, he just needs to learn how to not drop passes thrown right at him. Hopefully with his legal troubles behind him he can concentrate on being in the AFC championship game. He wasn't really thrown to at the game in SD so I can't judge his performance this past Sunday. The Jets are going to need him to step it up in order to have a shot at beating Indy.

He does need to stop dropping the easy passes, but he has done that since college. But i dont think he is past his prime at all.

Sure he's on a bigger stage than in college, but I think he's been dropping more passes, easier passes, and he seems slower to me. He's going to need a monstrous game in order for them to beat Indy. That, and their defense needs to step up.

I'm not worried about the defense stepping up, the Jets do have the #1 defense this season. They played a great game to hold SD to 2 touchdowns and Darrell Revis is the best cover corner in the game IMO.

As for the defense, I dunno. I saw them play Miami (Braylon's first game with the Jets) and was not impressed.
I'm really hoping next year the Titans come to play the first half of the season if they do they should make the playoffs. What do you guys think will happen in San Diego? i personnaly think that the should get rid of the coach and bring in someone who is really good Cowher, Gruden someone at that level to push them over the hump. As well even though he has had a great career in San Diego I think they should target a big back who can complement Sproles as opposed to LT.
Well I don't really know how many coaching moves San Diego is going to make seeing as that's the worst game they've played in say fourteen fifteen weeks. They need to not play so passively and do the typical hand off pass three and out they did through that third quarter.

Maybe that just because he is one of my favorite Michigan players ever.
he also has a huge mouth that gets in the way. But some of the great wide receivers drop baslls. Terrell Owens is notorious for dropping balls and he's a first ballot hall of famer.
Looks like Matt Ryan is the replacement for Tiger and the new face of Gilette.
Good choice.

I heard earlier that San Diego gave Norv Turner three more years. Bad move imo as I think the coaching in the playoffs for that team is what is holding them back from making it to the big dance. I agree that either Cowher or Gruden would be better fits for this team. Both have won Super Bowls whereas Marty Schottenheimer and Norv Turner can't seem to win games when they count. They have the talent to make it to the Super Bowl and were favored to represent the AFC. I can't help but think that this coaching staff is going to be their downfall in years to come.
