I get the comparison of Andrew to Chet (I also drew the same comparison), but for me, Chet was much more charismatic and interesting (though he bugged me near the end), even from the get go.
Does anyone think Andrew might try to get with Ashley, or possibly Erika, if he can't have Callie?

Andrew is eclectic like Chet - but in my opinion that is where the comparision ends.

You need context in order for there to be meaning when something dramatic does happen.

I think it's for the best that Ashley not kiss Mike anymore, not just so she will not appear to want him., but so that she won't get attached overtime. The kiss didn't seem a big deal to me - just seems like she wanted to make out with him and that it could end right there easily.
I also think it's better Andrew look outside the house for a girl - I think he'd have an easy time doing so, with the cameras and all. I don't think one of the roomies would fall for him unless it was gradually over time. I don't think an almost instant thing would happen for him.
I really thought Andrew would be a total loser with girls. Oh well these kinds of girls that want to be on tv will easily give it up to anybody on the Real World.
I think Callie liked the attention he gave her, but didn't want to be with him. And I think she wanted to feel special, like he genuinely wanted her, so to see him get someone else so quickly was annoying.
