i did enjoy this show, farrah ****** me off. she doesnt know how good she has it. yes her moms a bit crazy at times but her mom is supporting her financially and takes care of her kid while she is at school, working, modeling, and partying. i get that she wants to date but its different when u have a kid-that should be her number 1 priority. If she doesnt want her mom butting in her life than she needs to MOVE OUT, rent a room or something, get a better job, and pay a sitter whenever she needs to go to work, or go out and then she might appreciate her life with her mom more. I feel for the girl (i forgot her name) the one who's baby's name is Leah. I remember being stuck home 24/7 with a baby while my boyfriend worked-he too thought i had it soo easy because I stayed home but I think its a lottttt of work to watch your child 24/7. As for Maci I think she is the most mature of all of them but watching her and her fiance- to me it seems like hes not that into her, atleast not like he was when they probably first started dating. Im glad Catelynn got on BC although she wasnt practicing safe *** before. I cant imagine what she would do if she got pg again.
Over all the show was good. I cant wait for the next episode.
Great post Janette, I pretty much agree with everything you said.
Same here. Color me disappointed that Catelynn and Ty weren't using birth control. Don't they know that you're extremely likely to get pregnant again within the first few weeks/months after giving birth? Fact.
Also, I don't know why the **** Farrah drove 3hrs one way to see that Cole dude. Seriously. You just wasted an entire day to confront him about something you already knew was true. Her mom should not have given in and watched Sofia. And I think it's pretty ****ty that we were once again just told that Sofia's dad was "not in the picture" when it's pretty common knowledge on the forums (not just here) that the kid DIED before Sofia was even born. That doesn't sit right with me.
Maci, if every other sentence out of your mouth is "things are okay with us now, right?" then well, they probably aren't. She seems like such a smart girl, except when it comes to that toolbag of a boyfriend of hers.
Amber...not much to say...yet.

You should ask her how that tongue piercing of hers is working out. I wonder if it helps her open her cans?

Heh, yeah, except for that. :p Though I'm sure balancing two cans of Coors Light between your funbags helps a lot with carrying all those dirty bottles...

I didn't know that! I missed it somehow. Dang that's sad. All I knew about him was that it wasn't really addressed in her episode or on the reunion show so I thought he just wasn't involved somehow. They blurred out his pic right? Maybe his family doesn't want the situation talked about but saying that "he's not in the picture", especially in the tone it came off as, was definitely not cool.

I wouldn't be surprised that even if he was alive, that she wouldn't want anything to do with him.
And with the way that she seemingly goes from guy to guy...she was the only one not in a committed relationship when she got knocked up, right?
I really wondered what happened that they really wanted nothing to do with the babies father, I mean wouldn't she want his family to know her daughter?

I just looked it up and it seems like he got in a fatal car accident soon after Farrah cut off contact with him. Supposedly he and the other boys in the car had been drinking that night, though his blood alcohol was below the legal level, and he lost control of the car. Very sad. I would think his family would want to have some part in the kids life too but who knows. Family drama is confusing business.
Wow, I never knew that Sophia's father died, that's so sad. :( I always just assumed she cut him out of their lives for no good reason(she seems like that type of girl to me). I can't believe they couldn't just say that he passed away or something, it's not like they had to make a big deal about it or anything.
I really liked the first episode. I loved 16 and pregnant so it was really neat to see what the girls are up to now. I, like a lot of you, was pretty disappointed in Farrah; I just couldn't believe the way she was acting! I get that you're a teenager but you should have thought about that before getting knocked up at 16 years old; I can't even force myself to have sympathy for her. I like the other girls though, so I'm excited to see what happens as the season progresses.

Um, fricking love your name.
Welcome, Galinda :)
Thank you very much! :D I've been reading the site for a while but I've always been to shy to post.

Thank you! I love Wicked...maybe a little too much. :P
Catelynn and Tyler are from my hometown area and gave birth at my local hospital. This article was in the local paper the other day.
Local teen parents face reality in show | thetimesherald.com | The Times Herald
I can't take Tyler and Catelynn seriously after seeing their myspaces, sorry. I also don't think they realize that they gave their rights way, Theresa and Brandon can do whatever they want regarding the situation with Carly.
I agree with TJhallow--- Once they chose adoption-they gave up their rights as parents. Carly is not their daughter anymore I mean its really sad to see that they miss her that much but it was their choice. A good choice though.
Amber to me whines sooo much. Its soo annoying. She is so pessimistic. She complains about everything and cusses a bit too much infront of Leah. Sure Gary is lazy and not too helpful with Leah but he works to support both Amber and Leah. Taking care of Leah is as much work but ****it quit complaining. I think Amber is also really lazy. They are both the same.
Maci-Omgosh I really feel for her. Her waiting up at night for Ryan to come home. He didnt even come home and was partying. She needs to leave him. He is definately not ready for this and its sad because she is stepping up to the plate but he is not. But thats what happens to a lot of young parents. They are not really ready for all that responsiblities-they still want to be just teenagers.
Farrah- her sister gets on my nerves more than Farrah-who is she to judge? She doesnt support her nor babysit for her so why does she feel like she has the right to say anything. Her mom on the other hand does. Her mom *****es a lot but at the same time doesnt set any limits. When Farrah was like that she was going to go to dinner and for her mom to watch Sophia-she didn't ask if she could go she pretty much said Im going and your sitting even after her mom told her she was tired. If I was her mom I would have said NO im not babysitting for you-find/pay someone to watch her for you. Its Farrah's mom's fault. She lets her get away with her rude behavior. I guess I can understand why she wants a guy in her life but really what type of guy are you gonna find at 18? The guys she is trying to date are her age and they are not trying to settle down and become the father to someone else's baby.
Catelynn and Tyler- i really like both of them. They made a tough decision in giving up Carly for adoption. They are in a weird situation with Tylers dad being married to Catelynns mom. It did get a bit annoying hearing them complain about not knowing Carly's full name, but it is understandable.
Farrah- I feel bad for her beacuse her mom and her sister are both *****y. But she doesn't need to be so focussed on finding a boyfriend. No guy her age is going to get very serious with a girl who has a child.
Maci- My favorite person on the show. She seems so sweet. Her boyfriend is a tool. He needs to get his priorities straight. She deserves better than him. Bentley is so cute.
Amber- She complains too much. And she does cuss to much in front of Leah. Gary does need to help more with their child, but he does support the family by working.
An open adoption is a totally different thing, than a closed adoption. Until whoever it is that is making these comments has a child, they have no idea what Catelyn is going through.
Well I don't know whats its like to have a child, but I sure do know whats its like to be adopted. I'm not the only person adopted in my family so I'm aware of a lot of things.
Open adoption or closed adoption, They are not Carly's parents, and Theresa and Brandon can do whatever they want. Not saying I don't feel bad, I think them doing the show is more hurting them then helping them. I would go into it more but I don't want to step on anyone's toes.
I do have a child and I can't ever imagine have given her away. I do feel for Catelynn REALLY, but she decided to give her child away-therefore she is not the parent anymore. I understand the adoptive parents not wanting the to know where they live or their last name. What if they decide to just drop by out of the blue or what if they decide that all of sudden they want their baby back and just show up at their house.

And they are allowed to do that. They could also pick up and move away not tell C&T. C&T need time to heal, not have cameras in their face.
BTW, was anyone else laughing during that scene with Ryan in the car with his friends, and then him at the club? LOL @ him dancing, he's such a tool.
super, giant, mega tool!
super, giant, mega tool!
I don't even think tool academy would help him, LOL. He would probably think he was cool for making on another TV show...thanks to Macy again though since she would have to nominate him.
Something with Ryan seems a bit.. off. He just looks so disheveled compared to when the show first began. I was kind of angry at how he just sat on the couch asking Bentley "so what are we gonna do tonight? you don't talk much do ya...'
No, Ryan. He doesn't talk much. He's an infant.
I wish Maci and her beautiful son the best. Hopefully Ryan lives up to his responsibilities without causing her too much drama in the future.

Ugh, I agree. Maci is probably the most responsible/mature of the bunch, and Ryan is just...vacant. I understand her need to want to make things work with him for her son's sake, but I hope she moves beyond that. The way I see it (and granted we don't see EVERYTHING that goes on in their relationship) she wasn't the one who needed to change. Ryan just doesn't seem interested in being a father or being a part of a family. Unfortunately, she can't change that. Though I also truly wish her the best. She is a great mom for as hard as it must be for her.
She has a Twitter, by the way, though she hasn't posted in awhile:

Farrah treats Sophia more like a puppy than a person; a cute accessory to play with and tote around when it's convenient, but can be handed off to her parents when she wants to "be a teen". She really just needs to get her priorities straight.
