The problem with comparing Alton and Cohutta is that Alton was top flight athlete you could probably put Abrham and now maybe Wes as the only ones who are able to carve it out there own way. I just don't see Cohutta doing that because
1. He is a nice guy and is more likely to go along with the flow as long as it doesn't hurt him i.e. I could totally see him as Derrick type character a few years down the road just there to make money and not caring how it happens.
2. Cohutta is not a dominating athlete pretty much besides Adam and Ryan he is the smallest male to compete on these challenges and if he were to face off agianst most of them in a physical challenge he will be dominated. (though like Adam mentaly he can out smart some people)
I feel there were so many challengers they could have put that would have helped the team more then adam or even Cohutta. Such as Zach, C.T., Davis,Ace,Derrick, and maybe someone from Hollywood like greg.
The girls you could cut Casey and put maybe Brittni, Katelyn, and gasp Paula I know I didn't want to write it down but she is a pretty good competitor.

I agree, to a point. But I can't help to think it's so refreshing to see a personality remain unaltered by reality show "fame", and so I'm just happy to see him on tv, again. Granted, I don't know the guy personally, and only have the one "daughter of a friend met him" real life thing to go on, but he appears to me to be like someone who holds true to the small-town southern gentleman mentality (unlike what I've heard about Ace, which really disappoints me). I LIKE that when my friend's daughter showed me a pic of him, I just thought he was someone who looked familiar, that I'd met, before. So, maybe not the best choice for winning challenges based on strength, but he does have his own qualities to offer to a viewing audience, as well as being a team player. I hope he goes far, too, and shows that you don't have to be a cocky jerk to win one of these things.

I just noticed this because it was quoted recently, but you really think Ace would have helped the team more? He's been consistently weak on challenges IMO.

I think Cohutta was stronger than alot of guys on his team. It's funny how he was the only guy that won eliminations from his team.

He was a reasonable player, although The Ruins he was in were almost tailor made for his skill set.
Can you imaging him vs. Wes in the rope one? Yikes. Someone would have gotten seriously hurt.
Hint: Not Wes, lol.

They weren't tailor made just for him. It was an even contest and if Wes is as great of a competitor as he says he is then he would have won no matter what.

What I am saying is if it was anything that involved hand to hand combat, Cohutta would have walked away in a stretcher...facing pretty much all the other guys. He is about half their size...

Against Wes and Evan,Yes. Against anyone else probably not. Evan said in one of the after shows that while they were doing the pole challenge that Cohutta was stronger than Brad and Dunbar.

I think the only person that Cohutta may be able to beat in that "Shadow Fighter" ruin would be Johnny.

In same way, he said BMP invited him to do Fresh meat 2 and CutThroat but he said no. Now, when he want to do it, I would say we will definitely see him on the next one.

As most of the members here are optimist. V1man and others here seem to be oblivious to the fact that The Challenge is one of the main reasons some of us joined this community because we really enjoy the show and have the need to talk about it. It's obvious that Rivals is the last challenge on the contract and things aren't looking to good for the series and we don't want to be constantly reminded of that fact when we're just here to simply talk about the series and the cast members, we enjoy doing that. So we are optimistic about the series renewal, who would want to sit around and thing about their favorite show being cancelled.

I don't know if it's as much about the show being cancelled as it is that 4realWORLD stated that Cohutta was a "definite" for the next challenge (although I'm sure that is part of it).
Those of us who have been around this community long enough know better than to use the word "definite" when referring to someone being cast for a Challenge.

1 -- No, I'm not oblivious to why you are here. I'm perceptive enough to read motivation and intent in to what people write.
2 -- Please note, I didn't respond to 4realworld with something like "Are you not aware that there may not be another challenge?" Why, because I know from reading 4realworld's previous comments and the threads in which they appear that he knows there is possibility of bad news ahead, but has hopeful views about the future. Those are views I share, but are most likely to see in the ratings thread.
3 -- Since I am aware that MTV has been talking to some RW/RR/FM cast members about projects that may be in development, my question to 4realworld is very germane to learning if he may have heard exactly what Cohutta or anyone else in the RW family may have thoughts about MTV's ongoing discussions.
