Trust me I'll be on it.
Wow!!! Didn't see that one coming!!! But another question, who is the host?
The same guy that's been the host for the last 20 seasons.
Jeff's contract is up for renewal but I'd guess he will renew it. When he was up for renewal for seasons 13-16, he put up a whole big affair about wanting to leave the show and be done with it, so I'm guessing if he's not doing that now, it will be a painless renewal.
The current casting is for both seasons 21 and 22 which will film back to back between June and September as did Samoa and All Stars.
I think they will be in the same location, that's the whole point of doing it back-to-back. So for season 22, we will probably see some sort of stunt like season 20 did (not necessarily returning players, just something to differentiate it).
I thought for sure that Survivor would be done after next season... I thought even Probst himself said that season 20 would be the last season. Guess not...
There's a whole lot of speculation on Sucks and elsewhere that season 22 will be a second chance edition, with people who got voted out early. I like this idea, but I hope they wait til season 24. If they are going to be doing back to back seasons in the same location, they are going to have to try to be more creative in differentiating the seasons rather than just bringing back past people every other season.
Looks like Survivor is trying something new this time around.
Potential contestants have the option to upload a quick (30 seconds-1 minute) video to CBS' website. A "judging panel" will be picking a top 10, and then people can then vote for their favorite. The winner gets an audition in LA.
Deadline is noon on February 21st, and voting goes through March 5th.
my schools old principal already got a packet to fill out. they've shown a lot of interest in him. He also made the finals a few years ago to be on the show.
I believe they watch all the Audition Videos just about as much as i believe Unicorns exist.
Not to mention this casting ploy online i think is just a way to make it look like recruits are being cast.

Though I tend to agree with you, we really can't be certain.
Does anyone know an approximate ratio of casted survivors vs recruited?
