Though I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist for Russell, I think by announcing at TC that another idol will be planted equalizes the whole thing being that everyone will be looking for it.
AND they're putting it back into play? Unbelievable. I wouldn't call it one of the most memorable tribal councils ever, but it was definitely fun to watch. I feel bad for Kelly though, she was one of my favorite girls left :(
I didn't expect them to put it back into the game. This should be interesting...
BEST SEASON SINCE FANS VS FAVORITES. Holy **** man However... why. on God's green earth would they waste an amazing move on KELLY! Why not take out Dave or Brett or a dude!?!?! STUPIDDDDDD ALso - I guess Monica isn't as dumb as she looks! If they had listened to her and voted Natalie...Galu would be sitting pretty!
"The game is not going my way, thus - it must be rigged." Whatever. I could probably guess where the next immunity idol is, having no clue where they were on earth. Immunity idols are meant to be found. Anyway, thank God for that amazing play. It keeps Survivor fun, rather than a pickoff game (which is the SOP after merge.) That being said, I think next week is Mr. Russell's last just gauging on how they sold that he needed to find the next hidden idol.
Molds, I know but it makes me feel better to think that;) I'll give it to him, Russel is a good player.
Why not take out Dave or Brett or a dude
I know....I have no idea. They took out a sheep.
Molds, I know but it makes me feel better to think that;) I'll give it to him, Russel is a good player.
He's a GREAT player! Absolutely! But whyyyy Kellyyyyyy? That. is. such. a. waste.

I am a bit biased because I like Kelly, but I agree that they should've taken out a guy instead. However, Brett and Dave haven't really shined, whereas Kelly and Laura have been the only girls that have really done anything (challenge-wise). I would probably consider her more of a threat than those two (although Dave seems to be pretty good with puzzles). I bet Dave was kicking himself in the butt after that one...
Judging by how tonight went down there is no telling what will happen next.
LMAO at Shambo acting shocked and nodding her head in agreement with Laura.
This season is so annoying. The guy who is in charge of hiding the idol should be fired as Russell fond it within a day and it was in a pretty easy spot. The producers suck at showing who is going home as soon as they had Kelly talking at the reward I knew that she was going. They also for the first time should her confessional another obvious indicator. This will also be the case when/if Brett goes home because he never gets to talk.

I hadn't pegged Kelly until Shambo mentioned her when it was her and Russ fishing. Let me guess...you are probably not a Russell fan. What they don't show is that Russell probably looked for hours for that idol and they showed him finding it in about a minute.
Side note did Brett have a moustache at tribal council. I can't believe it took him 24 days to grow that small moustache. Must be a new record.
I didn't say that he found it in minutes. He still though found it within a day and since when do castmates get hours to look for idols. ( Past seasons have shown that they get barely anytime)

( Past seasons have shown that they get barely anytime)
Which seasons? I admittedly have not watched all of them, but do remember that when there is an Exile Island, people are there for at least a day. And even when they're at camp, the people who have the clues look at their own leisure. They can dedicate time to looking, or casually do so.
since when do castmates get hours to look for idols.
Since the very first Survivor (except they did not hide the idols in camp.) They have all day, everyday to do nothing.
While I understand the Russell hate. He outsmarted everyone. The haters need to deal. Yes, he is a bad person. Yes, he is a bad person. Has a played a good game? Probably one of the best ever.

When I saw he was on S20, I was initially put off as it was before any of the shenanigans happened, but now I completely understand why and wouldn't have chosen anyone else from this cast to compete.
I don't know if I was in his situation I think that i definately wouldn't tell peopl about the idol. I also think that those 3 people that he is playing with are way smarter then he gives them credit for. They in my opinion are outsmarting him because he is taking all the hate and the bullets and they are left their without a scratch leaving them in a great postion for the final mission. I liked also how Russell had the chance to beat Laura and yet he lost. Oh well I guess he can't win them all.
WoW... Russell is awesome... Finding 2 idols like that is hysterical... I can't remember the last survivor season that had me this interested!!!

I'm glad he stayed and glad he found the idol. But I'm someone who is a pessimist on any reality show -- I always find the suspect in things. He's a brilliant player who truly knows how to play the cards he's dealt. Did anyone else find it interesting that when deciding their pecking order, Galu placed Natalie above both of the strong young men? That's typically not the way it goes on Survivor in the post-merge stage, she must really be quite a player.

We are either being left in the dark or they are idiots. I'd like to think the former. And yes, ssseeeaaann, I know you are astute as to the game and I think that we see on the same level when it comes to how things are articulated in order to provide the most entertainment. That being said, I also think you like a good conspiracy more than I do. Although I will admit I do like a good conspiracy now and again and we all know these games are not 100% on the level. However, I generally believe in less tilt. :D
Laura is really surprising me!

Maybe that rat killing really moved her up on the scale ;)
, he hasn't done anything morally objectionable.
Except the first day with his attemt to break his own tribe by pouring out those canateens and then buring some peoples socks. Besides that he has done a great job of being the other members of Foa Foa tribes shield as they survive another week.
Except the first day with his attemt to break his own tribe by pouring out those canateens and then buring some peoples socks.
Umm, you consider that morally objectionable? I would think that is gameplay. These people can go home at any time. No one is keeping them there. If their socks are wet or burned, they can go home. If they have no water, they can go home. Actually, Russell grew on me this week as he enlisted his tribe. He asked for their trust. It was quite amazing as he needed them.
While I'll agree ER is a....good player, I think the way they are hiding the idols this season are stupid. In past seasons, they had them buried 6 ft under, across islands etc. I miss those days. That being said, I am glad he found and played it. The looks on their faces were priceless. I also found it comical how Erik is now rooting for the same people he bashed at every TC.
In past seasons, they had them buried 6 ft under, across islands etc. I miss those days.
And in past seasons they were hardly played. Something had to be done to stop the "boring four" - better known as post merge mid season four episodes. If the "other" tribe is doomed, is it even worth watching? The idol brings in gameplay and as the numbers shrink, there is less room for side votes, thus making every vote real votes. That is how we come to such a dramatic tribal. I hope the next idol is as easy to find. Everyone has a fair chance. Well, at least the smart ones.
Did anyone else find it interesting that when deciding their pecking order, Galu placed Natalie above both of the strong young men?
It seems like it's the case that they would want her gone next because as the pointed out more then one person said Jaison was dead weight or useless and so he doesn't seem to be a threat. The only reason I can see them keeping Mick is because they have some sort of pact or because he was the captain he should be the last to fall because if it was me I would make him my 1st target. He not only of the Foa Foa is in the best physical shape, he also hasn't really made anyone angry and should he make it to the end get some votes.
I think Natalie is playing the game best out of everyone!
