Can't. Watch.
I preordered season 3...so that'll come in soon. BUT - then I saw a poster online accidentally of
DEXTER AND A ****ING KID.
Whoops! ;)
Whoops! ;)
Kind of a stupid idea, but I'll withhold my judgment until I see Season 3 in its entirety. I love the show, so I doubt it'll jump the shark so soon!
Episode 1 of Season 4 was probably the worst in the entire series so far. So lame. Dexter is tired cuz he has a kid? Are you guys SERIOUS!? Hope this gets better! Even the season previews didn't look that enticing!

I watched it and agree. The entire, Dexter is tired shtick was lame. I think this show might have run its course (much like weeds after 3 seasons.)
At least I enjoyed Californication.
I haven't seen this week's episode...but Episode 2 of S4 was just as bad. The previews for the rest of the season don't even look promising! I think this is the year that someone close to him should've found out about who he really is.
I really want Deb to find out and be torn by the moral implications from it. We need something HUGE or its just the same **** over and over. Maybe Dexter can kill his baby? We can hope, right?
I heard that the next episode is supposed to awesome though... like ur gonna have to watch it more than once awesome....
While the first few episodes have been more shtick then substance, it is still better than most of the other stuff I am watching these days.
Looking forward to next week with the implicit understanding that it is never going to return to its glory days.
I really enjoyed last nights episode, especially the last 30 minutes and the preview for next week looks gooooooood.
I think Dexter is going to return to form in the coming weeks!
I loved the hunt for police lady (didn't hurt that she was very easy on the eyes) and now the primary plot (trinity killer) is coming to the forefront. Of course, it was obvious Lundy was going to die as they spent way to much time setting it up, but I was surprised that Debra got shot.
Things could get interesting.
I really hope I am not the only one here still watching! I loved this weeks episode. It feels like Dexter again.
Sure, it will never be season 1 Dexter - but I still think it is one of the better shows on TV and definitely worth the price of admission (Showtime.)
I am waiting with anticipation every Sunday night for the next ep. I thought this week's was pretty good.I usually have a pretty good idea of where the season's going, but from this weeks episode and the preview for next week i am totally clueless.
Holy ****!I did NOT see that coming!
Ya, I'm with you. What the heck!
I just assumed things were wrapping up, but I did notice there seemed to be too much time left for the episode to be over. As soon as he called her and it went to voice mail, a chill ran up my spine...
I have no idea where they are going to go with things at this point. That was a major, game changing shocker.
Yes,definite game changer! They could spin next season into so many different directions too!
When he got her message and found her purse and phone i knew it meant something bad but it's like my mind could just not figure out what was going on.I was thinking maybe she followed him and saw what had happened or my friend suggested that before Dex offed Trinity that he had kidnapped Rita somewhere and now Dex wouldn't be able to find her. Then when i saw baby Harrison I was thinking it was a flashback, then Dexter had a for real flashback.I was so stunned i couldn't speak but in my head i'm going "no,no,no!"lol.
I just got really ill and watched the whole series of Dexter in like two weeks. It is honestly one of the only shows I've seent hat gets better season after season. That twist too was ridiculous, who could've seen that coming. John lithgoe was great this season and Michael C. hall does some of his best work. I'm just wondering how they're goign to top the trinity killer next season. Anybody here watch Weeds, Californication, or Breaking Bad?

I "retired" from Weeds after season 3. I felt it lost its punch.
I watch both Californication and Breaking Bad.

Thanks, I can't wait for the next season of any of these. Believe it or not though Weeds has been pretty good. Dexter is the only show of these that have been consistently good. Californication was awful this season other than the season finale.
I watched this season- but all on demand over Christmas. I held out until then so my husband and I could watch together while he was on leave from the army.
Holy freaking cow. Didn't see THAT coming.
Did they ever mention if Dexter adopted the kids? I wonder if he'll get custody or if Paul's parents/Rita's parents will get them?
I am bummed the season is over...but ready for Nurse Jackie!
I fiiiinally finished Season 4 of Dexter - I had to wait until the DVDs came out.
I knew the ending though because I follow Julie Benz on Twitter and she kept saying spoilery stuff. uuuugh it was the worst finding out before watching the last episode.
Total shocker though - it was so well done! My girlfriend's mind was blown! I kept the secret so well!
This show is fantastic all around - I can't believe it doesn't own the Emmy's year after year.
