Yes, I actually find a couple of those people interesting or likeable, but I don't think the right cast dynamic is really there. But who knows what could happen?
No, the only two that wouldn't be in that category are Wes and maybe Katelynn. Boring, boring, boring, boring, extra boring.
Seriously, I wouldn't mind them if this was a big cast but its the same exact format there will only be 12 alumni. Thats POSSIBLY 9/12 castmembers. Its still speculation but I don't know what good drama will come of any of these people besides Wes and maybe Katelynn.
If you can find out how Paula, Ryan, Derek, CJ, and Jonna are entertaining please let me know. Jenn is cool when shes not threatening to kill someone over a fake relationship.

Exactly. I always like to see some nice people on the shows who don't cause much of a stir (i.e. RR Dan, to some extent Jame and Shavonda on I2, Genesis, Jon - RW2, etc). Some of them are cast members who I really do like, even though I don't expect to see much from the on the show. It's just nice to have a calmer, non wild prescene around to balance things out. But as you said, it's better for a bigger cast. This cast will consist half people we don't even know. But who knows - maybe BMP wanted the alumni to be a little more sedate and let the new people shine?

Paula and Ryan are boring as hell; they need to join Eric and Mike in retirement. Here is my prediction for each of them, should they happen to appear on FM 2:
Paula: Finds a new boy toy, creates moronic love triangle drama, gets betrayed by the core alliance, boo hoo, goes home with no cash. Then, come back on a consecutive challenge and make the same exact mistakes again, and then complain about it some more.
Ryan: Hi guys, I'm boring and unathletic, and will never make it far in this game unless every one of my elimination rounds is against females.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but if it came down to having Paula/Ryan on a Challenge as opposed to Cancun Joey, I might just go with the latter.
Derek is meeeeh, but at least he doesn't have an annoying personality. He brings something positive to the shows. For some reason, Jenn bores me to death. The Denver cast never really stood out in the Challenges...I don't mind CJ and Jonna. They're fresh faces, which is the holy grail nowadays in these "Challenges"...
I just don't understand why they won't give people like Karamo or Kendal a chance. They seem interested (how, I don't know), and seeing an old face return always brings a fresh breath to the Challenges. I remember back in the day, they would "rotate" casts. Half the cast of a certain season would appear on a challenge, and the other half would take their place on the next challenge (RR Quest, Campus Crawl, South Pacific, RW Las Vegas for example). I really hope FM 2 isn't an omen that the Challenges are really just...done.

There will be drama. Jonna will get attached to every guy causing drama and then deny it and say she can connect with girls. Katelynn's partner may be transphobic; good drama or other cast members may be transphobic. And if Wes goes postal on his partner again it would make the show. Paula is no good without her allance...Ryan honestly will never make it far in a serious challenge. Derek always seems like he's by himself which is a waste and Jen is a hot mess which shows what too many challanges can do to a person. They should bring J.D, Baya, or Jasmine. Nick may do this to but its just lookin like an Island type cast UGH!!

I think that's just it, though. I can only assume that their pool of available challengers is dwindling to a pathetic puddle of the same old boring people who are desperate to extend their 15 minutes of fame. And now, they're about to add ~12 more boring people to that pool. I shudder to think that there's a high possibility we'll see [I]them[/I] more than Evan and Kenny now. After FM 2, I really really don't know if they'll be able to compensate for such a terrible cast...Things are looking grim.

Oh, don't get me wrong on this one - I don't think it looks good, either. I definitely agree with you. Some of those people selected would be better for a big cast instead of a small one. I think having a strong alumni cast helps the show (it's the reason I thought FM1 was OK), and it does not seem like it's going to happen right now. When I said they might have a plan to make the new FM people shine more, I didn't mean it in a good way. I just thought maybe that's something BMP possibly thought about. But I don't know about that.
I'm just thinking there could be a small possibility that there could be some unexpected drama from these people. It is a challenge, after all. If not by their personalities clashing, by the rules or something.
But overall my feelings remain the same - I'm not excited for this challenge and still think there is a good chance I could skip it.
I know everyone is saying that they're thinking of not watching this challenge. I personally never thought that I would be one of those people, but the truth is I'm really considering not watching Fresh Meat 2.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind having alum with weak personalities. It will let the newbies stand out more. I would rather know the alum will be weak going in than be disappointed like I was on FM1.
Plus the cast isn't even official, and there's still a few more spots. We could get some great people on the cast.
At least there's no mention of any of "the regulars" yet. Switch out CJ and Jonna for Ayiiia and Joey, then we would be good. Oh, and switch out Ryan for one of the OTHER FM1 who haven't done one since their season.
