This is creating quite a lot of controversy on twitter. It's a shame that people can't simply say they dislike Kanye West without the racial name calling. Go to twitter and search Kanye West and the N-word. What a shame.
Go to twitter and search Kanye West and the N-word. What a shame.
It is quite disappointing that people can not conduct themselves in a responsible manner while on the internet, not that it will change anytime soon. Of course Twitter is a "look at me" medium, so you are going to see those on the fringe seeking attention by crossing the line and using unacceptable hate speech to describe Kayne's actions and get birds of a feather to flock to their profiles. Twitter, being unmoderated (unlike say, this forum) has made the decision to let anything go and there is not much we as internet consumers can do but turn away form the product if we find it offensive... Anyway, Kayne still is a dirt-bag.

I don't care if Kanye West is purple, he's an arrogant piece of ****. I hate it when people try to make everything a black and white issue, that is just Kanye West being Kanye West. His mother would be ashamed of him.
Couldn't have said it better myself, tj.

And now that **** is saying that MJ's death was better than Patrick Swayze's? I'm so disgusted, grow the **** up. PS. watching the VMA's again and there goes Lil Mama ruining Jay-Z & Alicia Key's moment. Epic fail.
And no that **** is saying that MJ's death was better than Patrick Swayze's? I'm so disgusted, grow the **** up.
How anyone's death is "better" than anyone else's is beyond me...I've given up on trying to understand him.
Did he really say that? Kanyes career is going in the same direction as Chris Browns.

Apparently he's running his mouth on Jay Leno, all over twitter. So much for doing damage control, *********.
Apparently he's running his mouth on Jay Leno, all over twitter. So much for doing damage control, *********.
He's actually not running his mouth at all. Maybe you should turn it on for yourself... Jay Leno just asked him what his mom would've thought about it. Long silence...
Doesn't he know that the more he talks the more we hate him? I am ashamed that I ever bought his music. Not making that mistake again.

I didn't get it from RealWorldDCNewz, i got it from just about everyone else's twitter. I don't even follow DCnewz.
I am **** at these lilmamais twitter jokes. Kanye has a lot of making up to do in the industry right now his status in entertainment industry is below ****** bag. Some people have said that he never drinks and he drank a whole bottle of liquor that night but that is no excuse
I didn't get it from RealWorldDCNewz, i got it from just about everyone else's twitter. I don't even follow DCnewz.
I think people took the joke and ran with it on twitter. I read it on twitter as well, and I was shocked when I first saw it and thought it was a new low for him. But the more I read it being RTed on twitter and saw people's reactions to it (some laughing, some serious), I thought it was a joke. I understand someone making a joke like that, but it's a shame that it's floating around now because it's confusing people. And though what he did to Taylor was bad, it just doesn't compare to saying something like that about people who died. So I feel bad for him to be associated with that one when he didn't say it. I don't think Chris Brown should be relieved by Kanye getting flack right now, either. Kanye's stage stealing moment (moments if talking about the past) have nothing on what Chris Brown did. But I agree with you, SD - Kanye is making himself look worse in the media and he need to turn things around.
No thanks, I don't need to give him any more attention than I already am. :D
Then I would hold off on the comments blasting him that aren't true...at least until you see it for yourself.
Then I would hold off on the comments blasting him that aren't true...at least until you see it for yourself.
Then so should the rest of the twitter world. The only comment I made was on here.
But I agree with you, SD - Kanye is making himself look worse in the media and he need to turn things around.
I think if Kanye didn't have such a huge ego and a record of ridiculous outbursts at award ceremonies he might have gotten a little less flack considering the amount of Alcohol he consumed...it would have still been bad, but perhaps not as bad as it is. I saw the Leno interview and I truly believe he is remorseful for what he did, however imo I don't think he is remorseful for the right reasons, I think he is saving face because he realized that no matter how he tries to spin it people are still going to spit on his name for what he did. Now people are boycotting him and that effects his lively hood...I feel that he is remorseful for himself as in Woe is me everybody hates me for something I did when I was drunk, how can I fix it?
Then so should the rest of the twitter world. The only comment I made was on here.
Well of course, but if the rest of the Twitter world jumped off a cliff, would you follow? :D

It's getting old and makes him less likeable each time. People can overlook a couple of things, but more and more makes them turn against him. I don't consider this solely an alcohol induced situation because he's done it before. Unless those other times he was drunk as well, and if so, he should have learned He'd already exalted B's video when it first came out, so I felt he'd be very upset, drunk or not. I am happy he apologized (and I'd guess Leno must be happy that this got to play out on his show!). I will have to look up a video of it to see it. I think perhaps he may lose out on some awards or performance opportunities in the future - because of his opinion outbursts, shall they continue. I think it's noble that he has given his award to artists who he felt deserved them more, but in a way it's like he has dissed the awards voting panel or the voting public. And of course his outbursts against the network/awards organizations when he feels someone more deserving was slighted, or when he feels he should get a certain performing slot, will not endear him to the voters/organizers. They may not want to deal with him anymore. I know the winners don't always seem to be "correct," but you can't keep handling things like Kanye does - all out in the public, in fits, etc. Does anyone know if there's truth to his losing out on VMA awards this year because of his outburst? I read a rumor that he won for Best Male (and possibly more), but they gave those to the second place winners because of Kanye's actions. I have to say I don't think that's right if that happened. But I'm really not sure if that happened. I lean towards the "no it didn't happen" side. But I want to know for sure.
Aww, poor Kanye. But I felt even worse for Taylor Swift. She looked so horrified and confused when it happened. I can't imagine what it must be to go through that, it just happened so fast. Half the people were cheering, the other half were booing.
Poor Kanye? umm..... I don't feel at all sorry for him
Poor Kanye? umm..... I don't feel at all sorry for him
Yes "poor Kanye". Im not saying poor Kanye because of what he did. Obviously what he did was unexusable. He really acted like an *******, so now he has to suffer the consequences. My "poor Kanye" comment was in regards to when Leno questioned him about what would his mother think, and Kanye took a long pause.
He knows she would be ashamed.
Kanye West calls Swift with 'sincere' apology
Thanks for posting. I do feel bad for him after reading that (yes, I'm a softie). I know his mother meant so much to him, and he really did keep going after her death. I think it can be good to work a lot to take your mind off of things when tragedy hits, but sometimes you have to take time to grieve. I do, however, think Kanye was being Kanye when he pulled that during Taylor's speech. He did stuff like this before him mom died. But I do think his mom's death still affects his life. Anyway, I am glad he apologized directly to Taylor as well.
