Survivor Borneo: Richard Hatch to become free man
From EW: "Survivor winner Richard Hatch, 48, who was sentenced to serve four years in prison for federal tax evasion in 2006, has been transferred from a West Virginia Federal Prison to a halfway house in Philadelphia. Hatch's time at the facility is expected to end Oct 7." I still can't believe he was in jail. haha what an idiot!

My take on Hatch: I don't like him, but i don't hate him either. It's kinda like 50-50. His cockiness certainly makes one wish he'd get voted out, but his presence must've certainly left a nice impression on the 4 people who voted for him that night when he won and millions of viewers were either screaming "NOOOOOOO!!!!" or wrecking their tv sets in disbelief. Muttering, "W. is President and Hatch won Survivor, THERE IS NO GOD!!! THE END IS COMING!!!!" My advice to him would be to just make absolutely sure that you paid every single last cent of your tax form or you'll be back in a cell soon.

Richard Hatch was taken back into custody yesterday because he did interviews with Access Hollywood and a local radio station though only an interview with the Today show was approved. If he didn't pay his taxes, he deserved all the jail time in the world. BUT - This is America. If he was mistreated in any way and wants to talk about it, so be it. Fighting back against [I]that[/I] is legit. I can't believe they put him [I]back[/I] into custody. He didn't pay taxes...he's not a murderer.
