Hi im new here but i been following u guys for a while now n finally dicied to join Im not a big fan of joey but i think it was unfair that they fired him n it wasnt even his fault i was sad to see him go
Yeah I was surprised they booted him after his second foul. Whatever happened to the premise of three strikes and you're out? He even had his roommates defending him, so that should have been taken into consideration. I have mixed emotions about him leaving because I thought what he did to Ayiia was very foul, but he also seemed like a cool guy as long as no one was getting on his nerves and vice versa.
I guess it could be a chicken or egg argument, but Joey is pretty much consistently Joey throughout. Ayiiia, however, comes across as a little Three Faces of Eve.
Joey and Ayiiia are the two main roommates that are consistent with their beliefs, personality and attitude toward things. But when you watch the dailies...it seems like the other roommates aren't consistent with their attitudes towards things. They always seem to flip flop when it comes to taking sides. One minute they're nice to someone and the next minute they're talking about how they don't like the person. I hope that isn't actually how they act and i hope that's how editing makes them look because if not then they'd come off as fake to me.

It was completely fair. How does it sound when you call your boss and tell her that you're late because the alarm clock didn't go off. With or without the alarm clock it was Joey's responsibility to show up at work on time. He missed two shifts in one week and he got fired...what was suppose to happen? him get let off with another warning and a slap on the wrist. Work is work.

Work is work.
I think some people call it so unfair or unjust is because his stay in Cancun and on the show is linked and dependent on his job with Student City. While the first strike was a pathetic and sorry excuse for missing a shift, the second time was a natural mistake with the oversleeping/alarm problems that I am sure we have all encountered in our daily lives. It seems unfair to some that he is kicked off the show for this. In retrospect, however, this was made fully aware to cast members and whether they chose to dance the lines of fire is their prerogative. And above, I am not condoning using a roommate as an alarm clock, so no need to show fangs and use that angle :) I completely agree that it is very irresponsible and reminds me of my first year at college - my roommate used her cell phone as an alarm clock and it would always die because she'd never charge it. Then she'd sleep in and miss classes and be like..what the ****, stupid phone. Heh
While the first strike was a pathetic and sorry excuse for missing a shift, the second time was a natural mistake with the oversleeping/alarm problems that I am sure we have all encountered in our daily lives.
Actually, most of us don't stay up until 4am getting **** faced mere hours before we have to report to work. Well, at least the responsible ones among us. ;)
Well why wouldn't his stay in Cancun be based on his job with Student City? Working with Student City was his job and when you don't do your job on the Real World expect to get sent home. I still can't buy the alarm clock excuse, yeah it happens to people in their daily lives but when people over sleep i doubt that they'd get kicked out of where they're staying because they missed a shift. ( <--was an assumption but speaking in general) Joey was living in a place where if you miss work you can go home and that's what happened. I just watched Ayiiia's karma's a b**** video and i think karma got joey.
Actually, most of us don't stay up until 4am getting **** faced mere hours before we have to report to work. Well, at least the responsible ones among us. ;)
Conspiracy theory time... a. Student City's "in house" band parties at his house til 4am. What's he gonna do, tell them to get out because he's gotta wake up? b. it's the night before they schedule him to come in early as planned in advance. c. they have the tickets in hand ready to kick him out that day. d. Student City leaders act like ***** as they try to make him apologize when they have no intentions of letting him stay. e. They try to guilt trip him when it wasn't his fault. Who hasn't been in a situation where your normal means of waking up doesn't work? So was Joey setup, or are Student Cities leaders just *******'s in general?
Call me a party animal but yes I have drank and gotten hammered night before a work shift. More than once. And if the rest of you who are commenting on this thread have never ventured with such activity, then I guess I am an alien. Thankfully (in that aspect), I'm not on real world. And I get up. Drag the day and want to stab myself in the eye, bt I atleast show up. On time. Anyway, playing devil's advocate in this thread is just asking for punishment. Instead, time to bar it up even though I have work the next day ;)
I have never liked Joey, even before the fighting and drama and ****. But at least he is who he is and he admits it and is real with himself and other people. And people do drink nights before work, some even, right before work, and others even, during work. And hahalollmao, karma is what comes around goes. Joey made fun of Ayiia, and antagonized her, so if it was really karma, she or someone else would make fun of and/or antagonize him. Karma isn't bad thing happen to one person, so the bad thing is gonna happen to the other person. It's specific.
Student City leaders act like ***** as they try to make him apologize when they have no intentions of letting him stay.
For the "seventeenth" time: When you let someone go at a place of employment you often tell them why they were fired and offer them a chance to respond. Then you part ways. This is standard practice for millions of businesses across this country.
They try to guilt trip him when it wasn't his fault. Who hasn't been in a situation where your normal means of waking up doesn't work?
Not showing up for work twice was his fault. It is called personal responsibility. No one tried to guilt trip him, they wanted to tell him why he was being let go. This is how things are done and in the best interests of all involved so that there is no confusion concerning the termination. This also allows an opportunity to explain the company stance on references, tell him when he will receive his last paycheck and say if unemployment will be available through the company per the stated termination reason. The Joey apologists seem to want it both ways. If instead of coming to talk, they had fired Joey over the phone and not said another word - you would have all been crying about how they did not give him a chance to explain himself, blah blah blah... I'm happy it went down this way as we got to see what Joey decided to do with his opportunity to offer an explanation (i.e. pitch a hissy fit.)
So was Joey setup, or are Student Cities leaders just *******'s in general?
Joey didn't have mommy there to wake him up. Hopefully now that he is back in Boston, mommy will always be on hand to make sure he makes it to work. Sounds like he really needs mommy. :D
He doesn't even live in Boston. And what is described of needing mommy to wake him is found typically a bit more in suburban areas. I'd google and try to find whatever town/city he is actually from or resides in, but I'm clocking into work and don't have time. "something valley" though, I believe.
He doesn't even live in Boston. .
I was stating what he ascribes to on his facebook profile. His actual city of residence is Methuen.
I guess my take on it is I would rather have to live with Joey than Ayiiia--maybe it is because I am a guy and have known guys like Joey and can deal a little better with them than the girls I have known like Ayiiia.

The Brooklyn Cast | Video | MTV Video about Joey's interaction with the Brooklyn cast, he says he had a romantic weekend with Sarah. :) He likes all of them except Devyn or so thats what the video says.
Romantic weekend? I guess you can add Sarah to the list of women Joey has bedded.
He probably hates Devyn since she speaks her mind. Typical.
Don't blame Joey for hating on Devyn. She thinks she's way too mature for everybody and that she is better than all of them. But dude, Sarah?! You had a 'romantic' week with Sarah? I would of tried Baya first :D
Does Devyn still live with Scott and Baya?
How come Joey always seems to only dislike the women? You never hear him say he dislikes a man. It seems like he may be scared of making a guy mad.
Joey would probably pee in his pants if a muscular guy got in his face.
Does Devyn still live with Scott and Baya?
Yes...and Baya is Ryan's for whoever said try Baya.
I like her and him as a couple. I wonder if he and Bella hadn't been together, would they have hooked up?
Ohh wow, I thought that their whole post-season friendship would fall apart.

There are occassions were you get the down-to-earth, laid back chicks, Brianna from Real World: Hollywood comes to mind. Joey is just a laid back and chill dude and I don't think he likes being around straight up Bs.
Why do they have to be b's since they speak their mind? Double Standards.
When did them "speaking there mind" come in to this? Devyn was not speaking her mind. She's a B. I know it. She thinks she's better than everybody else. Just like when she left/dropped-out of college, she is considered a college drop-out. Not in her case because that makes her look bad.
I like Devyn.
I like Devyn.
I liked her too, just like I liked Sarah. Until one of the episodes where they all talked about the guys in the confessional. Battle of the Sexes maybe...?
I liked her too, just like I liked Sarah. Until one of the episodes where they all talked about the guys in the confessional. Battle of the Sexes maybe...?
The guys trashed the girls first. JD was the ring leader.
