Haha, yes it was! :D
We do have a sense of humor around here, just some things aren't that funny and come off as quite rude.

Indeed. Generalizations will get you nowhere.
Wait! I was being rude?!
You may not have been trying to be, but like OPD said, by generalizing that because we are women we will get more emotional about things and then we become 'uptight' when someone makes a comment like 'Of course you are all crying! You're women!', can come off rude.
Oh you're right, I apologize. The only reason I said that was because you guys made me look like a fool because I didn't cry during the episode.
I'm not the only male here am I?

Me too. :)
You just love to watch people suffer, don't you? ;)
Haha, no. I just think it would be interesting. Hey, they choose to have sex. lol.
This show irritates me so much. What were these girls thinking when they decided against using proper birth control? At least some of the guys stepped up to the plate and cared for the children.

Maybe they were using proper birth control and it just didn't work out for them...

Umm, the girls stepped up too. Some actually more than the guys.

I think in the reunion Dr. Drew asks which couples were using birth control and all of them said that they had started out using it every time but then that dwindled to now and then, either from convenience, laziness or heat of the moment type answers. He asked if they all used birth control now and they were all much safer and said that now they won't have sex unless they are using protection.
Marco, it seems to me that they were all thinking what a lot of teenagers are thinking. That it won't happen to them, that not using a condom once won't get them pregnant, that they aren't educated in proper birth control options or techniques and that as teenagers they really don't know the extents of the consequences that could happen if they aren't practicing safe sex.
It's hard to have sympathy for any of these girls. No one forced these girls to have sexual intercourse with their boyfriends. There is something called abstinence, but all of these girls chose to disregard it. With that said, these girls made the decision to have sex with their boyfriends so they have to deal with the consequences of their actions.

And the guys are totally free of fault or consequence?

No one ever said that they didn't. How are they not dealing with it? Seems to me like they all are.

This is exactly why we need mandatory sex education courses starting in junior high school.
Marco, my mother had my sister when she was only 15. They did not intentionally not use birth control. Was it a mistake not using birth control? Yes. Your post was very ignorant. This show is very inspiring to me because it shows me the struggles that my mother went through because of one small mistake. I know a lot of people say that this is promoiting teenage pregnancy but I think it is doing the exatct opposite. I am proud of MTV for making this a series and not just a True Life episode. Way to go MTV.

These girls also seemed rather unconcerned about catching std's or contacting hiv. Who would endanger themselves at this day in age? Just because a guy is cute or captivating doesn't mean you have to engage in sexual intercourse with him. Sexual intercourse amongst teenagers is inappropriate anyway. With that said, where were the parents while all of this was transpiring? All of this could have been prevented if the parents monitored their children a little more closely.

I guess it's not my place to ask. I just enjoy watching the show.
I don't think that they want a pity party they just want to show young girls that it is not as glamorous as it may seem to some girls and that it is a constant struggle. And, parents can't know everything that their choldren do. Teens are smart and know how to lie.

Do you have children of your own Mr. Sanchez?
Do you have children of your own Mr. Sanchez?
I would assume that he does not since he seems to think boys have no responsibility in girls becoming pregnant...or at least that is what I gather from his posts.
Do you have children of your own Mr. Sanchez?
No and I don't want to have children either. Children are selfish and they only care about themselves.

And way to go for writing this post. The ignorance around here sometimes baffles me.

You my friend, have a lot to learn.
I can applaud the girls on this show for putting up with the crap that babies and children put their parents through. It's truly unbelievable how self-centered and obnoxious children act. They always want a helping hand, but rarely extend their hands to someone else. How inconsiderate.
