Real World Cancun: Episode 6 - Discussion

I'm so ****** and disappointed that Emilee, Bronne, and Derrick aren't gonna get alot of airtime for the rest of the season....BMP/MTV= epic fail with that decision.

Anybody else notice how awkward it was between Matt and Derreck? It seemed like they hated eachother.

I noticed that when Matt walked in. It seemed like Derrick didn't want him there.

Aside from her early season rift with Ayiia (even then i can't really fault her for anything), Emilee comes across as drama free and down to earth, which we all means little to no screen time. I know we watch RW to be entertained but the drama free and, forgive the pun, more real cast members always leave a positive and longer lasting impression than those that play up to the cameras. Just my two cents

One more person is too much IMO. Road Rules was better because they only had 6 cast members at a time so you got to know them all pretty well (the first 4 seasons only had 5 people!). But maybe I'm just saying this because I still cry at night knowing RR won't be returning. :(

I personally don't have an issue with Jonna's behavior. Sure, she's obviously better suited to a polyamorous lifestyle, but Matt also seems very petulant, controlling, and obsessive. Why did he become moody and standoffish when she didn't immediately stagger to the phone to inform him that CJ attempted to kiss her (and failed)? It's not her fault that CJ crossed a well-established boundary, and frankly I believe it's only worth confessing if she actually succumbed to the kiss ... which she didn't. So why ruin a significant portion of their alone time by lamenting about something so utterly pointless? Maybe it's because I consider light physical affection like cuddling to be innocuous, but that's obviously a subjective opinion. The fact that Matt stated that he was worried about Jonna finding somebody "better" is a reflection of his own personal insecurities and deeply-embedded sense of inadequacy. Perhaps she should be assauging him better, but I don't see why she would be inclined to do so when this person is treating her like his private property. A promise-piercing level of soulmate-y relationships clearly isn't working out well for either of them. Hopefully they separate instead of remaining fixated on controlling eachother. If you're extremely unhappy with the person you're supposed to be the most connected with, then what's even the point?

Jonna should be ashamed of herself for violating her boyfriend's trust. She already knows that he has trust issues so I don't understand why she's flirting with other guys. It's only logical to assume that the relationship doesn't mean that much to her if she flirts with other guys at the drop of a hat.

i know i really liked her when the season first started but...im a little dissapointed i hope she doesnt hurt him he seems like a good guy idk though i mean she is her own person so she can do whatever but that sucks....

I feel for Matt. I'm really insecure about myself also and my most recent ex was sort of like Jonna (really flirty and whatnot) so I understand where he was coming from. Sad days... :( Anyway... Looks like Bronne gets some airtime next week with his little hook up. He seems funny and I really wish they'd show more of him.

Bronne and his hook up...lol. Poor Jasmine cannot get one though.

Yeah, poor Jasmine. I hope she finds her dream man and leaves that loser Pat behind. He's soo not worth it girl.

Lamb Chop, I got that impression too when Jasmine first expressed interest in him. I don't know what it is about him, but I have a pretty good gaydar and mine pings every time he comes onscreen.

I think Pat is cool.

I am not sure if he leaves or not, RockSteady. I was expecting him to be given the boot after the past episode, but much to my dismay he was allowed to stay. He is the epitome of ************ and I was becoming angry watching him last week. His hole spiel about, "Dudeee, I just hate this job so much, I hate these rules", was totally lame. I am not sure if Joey has held an actual job before, but going to sleep and blatantly ignoring your superiors is pretty much grounds for termination. He is lucky the people at Student City didn't tell him to get lost after that pathetic behavior.

I thought that Pat was gay as well. He doesn't like Jazzy (she's gorgeous!) and he looks like he has (beep) (beep) in the past. He also seems like the type of guy who will (beep) (beep) and (beep) (beep).

From the episodes we've seen, I kind of get where this Pat guy might be coming from. Jasmine's vibe is a little too "sweet" and not enough "naughty" - especially for Spring Break in Cancun! I'm also thinking Jonna's bf is wishing MTV would burn the tapes of this episode :D
