i think ever person/case is different there could be 1000 reasons in her personal life why she cut...attention COULD be one of them but not a major one. Only she knows for sure

Wow Bronne really "I don't like Ayiiia," "I don't agree with what Joey did, but I'm not going to stop him." Some people really need to grow up and be a MEN!!!

it just stinks because the guys could of really been there for her if they all didn't start off so rocky instead it's more of what happened and that is a shame for all sides. They all had too much negative feelings by time it happened. Part of it is in a lot of her interviews she says she isn't going to show the guys a different side to her so they never got a chance to get to know the real her and part the guys making it clear they hate her.
He did, and then she felt she needed to say she had cuts on other parts of he body. Whatever. I'm just saying... this is how I see it. I know we all look at situations and people differently.
Right, and now we know. Unfortunately, they just found out too. Don't see how anyone can hate them for the show when they did not have any idea

i just don't like how ayii says they get on her for no reason she does instigate it but she just makes one comment and it triggers it all but it's still not necessary. She knows that it will get them mad so why do it? i think she stirs up the pot for attention but they caught her cutting she didn't want them to catch her so i don't feel that is for attention. I have no idea why she does it i don't know her anymore than the show. it sounded like she is under control with it now so that is great for her she is dealing with the problem.
After watching this episode I love Jonna and I think the producers of the show need to take Joey and Ayiia out of the house. Send Ayiia to a treatment program like they did in Hollywood and kick Joey out of the house well...because he's a tool (sorry there hasn't been anything that has shown me otherwise about him and I really wanted to like him at the beginning of the season)

ya it is too much about those 2 fighting and choosing sides than getting to know each housemate. bronne gets like a minute of screentime a show
Ayiiia should have said screw the show and punched joey right in the nose - i hate him
Watching this episode made me feel...dirty. The vehement hatred of some of the cast members towards each other is hard to watch. How can you be so hostile while living in a gorgeous hotel in Cancun without a real job for 6 months? Ayiia asking to see CJ's piglet was totally demeaning and inappropriate. CJ's reaction to her was equally uncalled for. I hated both of them after watching that scene. Then Joey comes in and goes on a tirade. I don't think I could possibly dislike these people any more! These cast members are truly setting a bad example; I feel embarrassed for them, especially when they drink. A couple of them should probably never drink alcohol again given the behavior they exhibit while intoxicated. They have broken the Student City rules numerous times and we are only 4 episodes into the season. Doesn't say much about the integrity of any of them. I think I am done with this season for now, Brooklyn was much milder and entertaining with the exception of JD's drunken outbursts.

i agree with a lot of that. it's too much about hate and sides than about storylines and the people. The only reason i can think is because they are in cancun and it is about partying and when people party they fight especially if they don't like each other so that could explain it.... Everyone's behavior was bad in that episode at some point. Ayii instigated the fight. Cj snapped over a lil thing because it added up. Joey said soemthing to help Cj and it turned into some huge ordeal. their already is a lot of drinking on these shows but being in cancun just makes it worse if they already hate each other
She went too far... Then joey went too far. I see that her 'life' is on the line i guess? but she belittles Joey, then Emilee, then CJ? Joey's sunburn isn't a weakness? Or Emilee being an orphan? Or how about CJ's lackage in the package? They pointed out her weakness as much as she did theirs.
While bringing up that Emilee was an orpan, CJ's lackage, and Joey's sunburn is wrong. That is no where as serious as telling a previous cutter to revert back to her old ways as a cutter. Which is more serious than it may seem. for her to continue to Cutt could have led to her escalating the harm she could do to herself. I hope Aiiya gets help and dosen't contine this cycle.
How can you even sit there and compare a completely sarcastic and joking comment about a small ***** to purposely mocking someone's serious issue of self mutilation?
First of all, I have to agree with some that Ayiiia is a SEVERE attention seeker. Second, Ayiiia has said that she wanted to "murder" Joey and that she wanted to "bash his head", and she was kicking in windows and in the past punched walls, and she was so over the top that I cannot even believe the love fest going on here with some of you regarding Ayiiia....don't tell me Ayiiia only made fun of CJ's ****, because that is far from the truth. Sure, Ayiiia OBVIOUSLY has mental problems that she really does need to deal with, but that still does not excuse her from the things that she has done, and I am not going to take sides with her over Joey and the guys just because I should feel sorry for her...and that is exactly what Ayiiia wants...she wants me to feel sorry for her, and that is why she ran around getting all the girls on her side...kind of painfully ironic after Ayiiia championed the plan to to get all the girls to leave Jonna behind and out of the group plans. My problem with all the Ayiiia supporters, is that they conveniently ignore Ayiiia and her VERY mean spirited nature. For instance, remember the smile of joy that ran over her face when Derek told her she ruined Joey's guitar? How about Ayiiia's comment about Emilee being adopted? How about Ayiiia screeching incessantly about her missing cigarette while Joey was looking for the missing member of the group? I could go on for hours here...in fact, Joey was the one who apologized in the first go round...someone wake me when Ayiiia makes an apology with as much sincerity, if at all. Even here in this episode, you have Ayiiia acting like a complete ***** in the hot tub...and everything she got in return she deserved...she brought it on herself. Ayiiia is the most selfish person among the group....by far....it is all about Ayiiia all of the time...she was even late to her first day on the job and really cared less about her job and more about standing there and hugging Em feeling sorry for herself when she should have been paying attention to her job like the guys were. This is the REAL WORLD, not the POLITE CHANNEL, so why all they hate with Joey and CJ, while you excuse every bit of Ayiiia's behavior? This is a pattern I see nonstop here. It is a parallel universe for sure! And for the record, I have read Vevmo for years and I have never posted until now, and mostly because I have noticed it is A-OK to criticize only specific cast members and specific seasons, and I usually don't like to be a part of such a police state situation...but I am FIRMLY on Joey's and CJ's side, and I think these guys are the most real...flame on! :)
Jonna is the new Baya. =( And I thought I really disliked JD, I was wrong, I love JD compared to CJ and Joey. Especially Joey. He's such a lowlife and so Immature, I would never stand talking to a guy like that, he needs to grow up.
The whole entire fight was stupid. Aiiiya teasing Joey about his sunburn on his lip and CJ's small ***** was pity and immature. But to take it to the point where you attack, taunt and tease a cutter telling them to cut themselves is SERIOUS. What if the girl got to the point where she felt suicidal? Joey had no valid reason to purposely hurt her and drive her out of the house. She's never once did that to him. I seriously get annoyed how he treats girls, especially how he gets into their faces in an arguement, that could give off the wrong impression (like he's going to hit them). Anyone who thinks people cut themselves for attention is ignorant.
It's impossible to judge these matters because we are only fed the parts of the story that MTV wants us to see. I have a strong suspicion that Ayiia has been given very favorable editing based on all the room mates perceptions of her over the first month. In my opinion everything Joey has done has been harmless little things, jokes and such to get a reaction, to which she greatly overreacts, making a scene and fights, threatens physical violence and murder, and ultimately cutting herself. They both may have issues, but I feel she is the one who needs help.

the thing about joey is he knows who he is and what he does. He isn't in denial about himself and the way he sometimes acts. he knows he can be a jerk and is wrong sometimes and he openly says he is being harsh to someone and sometimes steps over the line. Ayii in all the blowups so far this season goes to another room and says "why is this happening to me i did nothing wrong" she has said the equivalent of that 3 different times in big fights. so she basically thinks she is 100 percent right in all the fights and is being attacked for no apparant reason. She stirs the pot and joey likes to get on people he hates so those 2 together is one recipe for disaster because they both do the things that get the other one going. My pet peeve is people always thinking they are right and ayii seems to think she is always innocent in every big fight(which she is in coincidentally btw) like this episode she said she was just sitting in the hot tub doing nothing and they attacked her for no reason she did nothing wrong. If she just said that she said some dumb comment and cj flipped out because he is drunk i might of taken her side completely on this because obviously what joey did about the cutting wasn't right. both were wrong in this fight and ayii started it all by mouthing off to cj in the hot tub. I think they all were to blame but to what level they took it obviously joey took it the farthest.
Everyone is soooo conservative. i'm with sundream, as i have been all night. open your eyes people, they didn't tell a cutter to cut herself, they told an attention seeker to keep seeking. And she will. and THAT'S A WRAP!
I don't think it really matters what Ayiiia had done up until this point no one should ever treat anyone else like that. Even if Ayiiia was cutting and crying for attention (which I don't think she was) why does that make it okay to treat someone like that? It just shows immaturity. Joey said that he treated her like that to get her kicked off so that the house could get along better, but why couldn't he of tried to make ammends and become friends with Ayiiia to ease the tension? Ayiiia wasn't getting kicked off or leaving so all he was doing was causing more tension. I know if I ever treated anyone like Joey treated Ayiiia in tonight's episode I'd be very ashamed of myself. As for Ayiiia's cutting I think it's clear that it's not an attention grabbing technique, but I could be wrong. I also commend Emilee for taking the problem seriously and offering help to Ayiiia.
I have a strong suspicion that Ayiia has been given very favorable editing based on all the room mates perceptions of her over the first month.
DING DING DING...we have a winner! Although, I would disagree that Ayiiia is getting favorable editing since I am almost disgusted by her actions...it is more or less that some people here are EXTREMELY biased for whatever reason. The bottom line is, and you could even see it in Emilee's face on the after show...Ayiiia is not the nice girl some make her out to be...she is not a nice person. Now, Jasmine on the other hand? Wow, I figured I would not like her at the beginning, but she sure has grown on me and is obviously one of the most mature cast members on the show. She is a very cook chick! Oh, and did I say...I LOVE JOEY AND CJ? :)
My problem with all the Ayiiia supporters, is that they conveniently ignore Ayiiia and her VERY mean spirited nature.
Again... how can you even compare the two? I'm not picking sides but what he did was far more ****ed up that I can't even have Joey's back on this. Aiiiya needed to learn a lesson as well but not like what happened in tonight's episode. About the guitar: If he had walked away and gotten over the fact that she Aiiiya said a dumb comment he would have looked like the good guy. He didn't have to spit in her food and bring his guitar out to annoy the girls as they sat outside. Walk away and let her look like the immature one instead of making yourself look like a fool as well. Joey talks about how Aiiiya wants attention but clearly he wants attention even more. He makes it clear in his confessionals that he wants to start drama and stir up ****.
I absolutely agree with yupitssara...and to the attention seeking comment....Ayiiia didn't have an agenda to get Joey kicked out of the house...Joey came back from a funeral with an agenda to get her kicked out of the house...he's an INSTIGATOR! There was no reason for him to come back and create more tension and he did that...there is no reason why CJ should've snapped over a little comment. No one should EVER be ganged up on like Ayiiia was. I'm glad she's better and i think she's awesome and that's that with me....no matter how much you Ayiiia bashers bashe her, it's not gonna change my mind about her.
I don't see how you can call other members "biased" because their opinions are different from yours regarding Ayiiia. Everyone sees the same things and we've always had a difference of opinions among people here, and it seems pretty equal to me.
Ummm, did you miss the episode where Joey took Ayiiia aside and made the most heartfelt and honest apology while Ayiiia did no such thing? Ayiiia even was the one who instigated the whole thing with her comments at the pool table and on the street...you must have missed it...good thing MTV shows a lot of reruns! :)
WOW! This episode is so powerful. This is the craziest episode of the real world that I have seen.

joey was far too harsh that night and showed no remorse but there seems to be a pattern in all the fights. she starts them and the guys get overly mean and than she cries victim. While the guys are far too mean when she does something she does instigate so it goes both ways. Now joey was 100 percent wrong to rub the cutting in her face that wasn't my point. my point is she plays like she never does anything and they just run up to her and start *** for no reason which is just ignorance of her own personality. It's hard to side 100 percent with her when she starts the arguments. Now, any night a similar argument could of came up and this would of been brought up and joey woulda done the same thing but in this case they were all minding their own business and she had to say or provoke someone somehow.
I don't see how you can call other members "biased" because their opinions are different from yours regarding Ayiiia.
Probably because Producer88 has stated COUNTLESS times right here in his posts that he is VERY biased...just ask him. :) Also, if I think some people are biased, isn't THAT also just an opinion?

OPD is amazing! Honestly guys, stop calling others biased because we don't see eye to eye. Difference in opinions is what makes this site work.
this is soooo stupid let me just preface this post... i have alot of experience working with ************** adults who hurt themselves. and i have dealt with attention seekers who cut as well as ppl who truly have a problem. and it ****** me off when i see ppl act like they are cutters. #1 clue its for show? they SHOW everyone. she "cut" her arm and then proceded to wear a bikini the next day? cutters are secretive, they dont want ppl to know... they hide it. rarely do they even cut a place like their arm, but if they do, they dont run around showing it off. im not saying the girl doesnt have problems. thats obvious. but she wanted the attn so everyone in the house would stop being mean. and for the most part, it worked. she got the attn and the reaction she wanted. they justified her behavior and she will not learn that way. it is very sad and i hope that one day she doesnt take her attn seeking behavior too far. yes i agree joey took it too far and yes, he should have backed off with the cutting jokes. and i hated that he made signs telling her to go home. however, i watched the after show and they showed a clip where he said he had a friend that was a cutter and it was "intense". since he thought she (aiiya) was attention seeking, i am sure he was ****** off that someone would fake that when he knew someone who had the real problem. i dont blame him... and if she was/is a cutter and if they were SERIOUSLY concerned about her health and mental stability, they should have sent her for help.
