Who do you guys think played a better game? Wes on the Duel or Evan o the Duel 2?
wes put more thought into his game. It seems like Evan made his alliance in the beginning and relied on that to get him through. The only time he really had to think was when Paula switched the order up.
They both played an equally good game. Wes took on the responsibilities and did what he had to do himself, which is really good, but Evan managed to get his alliance to do almost all the dirty work, which is also equally as good. Don't compare until they're on a challenge together, like the Ruins, because they both had their game, they both played it, and they both won.

This is off topic but after watching The Inferno again on tape I'm upset with Christena and her commentary on how Veronica and Katie were in the wrong there. But I hope they remain civil towards each other this season.
Alexa, Katie is not known for holding a grudge. I don't expect too much tension being rehashed.
Does anyone else hate this whole "Rookies gotta pay their dues" Crap? I don't understand why newbies always get the shaft 1st. I mean it NEVER used to be like this back on the old days. I mean Nobody Targeted Mike and Coral/ Adam and Jisela(and anyone else who was a newbie) on Battle of the Seasons. And Nobody Targeted Rachel, Shane, Theo, Tonya, Aneesa(and anyone else who was a first timer) On Battle of the Sexes and many other challenges of that time. To me It just Reeks Of Entitlement. So anyone agrees with me or no?
Well, the vote off challenge was new during Battle of the Seasons, there was a scoreboard to rely on during that challenge (and BOTS), and also there weren't a whole lot of challenges at that point. So things were different back then. Once they got rid of the scoreboard AND had people who had done multiple challenges together AND there was a big separation between seasons, it was easier for people to stick to the ones they knew/liked. Challenge rules can change things as well. Jamie and Shavonda were new in I2, and they lasted in part to them being the weaker girls on their team, and the other team's strategy for the most part was targeting the stronger people to weaken the team, therefore the weaker people slid by. And Veronica also said you want the people you like to stay with you so you can enjoy the challenge experience together. And she and Rachel and Tina liked those two. I think a lot of people pick based on who they are friends with. Brad made it far on his first challenge because he was performing well and his team went by performance for the most part until the end. I don't think newbies should automatically be targeted. However, in a team challenge, I can understand how that is seen as an easy and logical thing. If a newbie and a vet have performed similarly, and the vet has performed decently in the past, it can be easier to say that you know that vet's abilities and think you can rely on that person. Or if a vet did badly on one early mission, you could think that you've seen this person do amazingly in the past and you think they could still deliver, so you might want to give them another chance. In certain situations in life, people with experience are preferred. Or in an individual challenge, you don't have to worry about keeping the best competitor or whatever since you are not looking for someone to help you as a teammate, so you can vote however you'd like. I'd probably vote so that my friends could stay on an individual challenge.

At least they did vote him off, though. Had it happened in a challenge a couple of years later, they probably would have kept him if he had a big group of friends who played like people do now. I actually didn't think it was bad that they voted Adam or Abram off before Mike. Besides Derrick, I can't remember who they voted off before Mike that I might have thought of as questionable.
They seemed fine on BOTS2 together...
I remember Katie saying in an interview "Coral does not intimidate me, and Veronica does not intimidate me....I'll take 'em all on". She still didnt' like Veronica but it wasn't to the point of hating her and fighting her.

I don't think they really like each other all that much due to past drama, but it seems like they won't go out of their way to treat each other badly, either. At least, not badly on a personal level. I could see Veronica possibly doing what she can to play the game to ensure optimal results for herself, and if someone gets caught in the crossfire, then oh well for them.
I remember Katie and Veronica kissing on an awards show. Also in an interview during Gauntlet 2 airing Katie said that they can have drinks and be cool.
Was this after The Inferno?
I don't know when it was but MTV had some kind of award show and Katie and Veronica got one for having the best fight.
Honestly I think there should be more Indivitual challenges . I mean all they have is the Duel and the Island and I think the Indivitual format is more Interesting.
Individual challenges are interesting, but they do not bring the drama like the team challenges do.
Individual challenges are interesting, but they do not bring the drama like the team challenges do.
When was the last time a team challenge had good drama anyways? Fresh Meat Infeno 3 and Gauntlet 3 all sucked ass in the Drama department.
When was the last time a team challenge had good drama anyways? Fresh Meat Infeno 3 and Gauntlet 3 all sucked ass in the Drama department.
What about Eric almost dying during the finale? & the teams reaction?
When was the last time a team challenge had good drama anyways? Fresh Meat Infeno 3 and Gauntlet 3 all sucked ass in the Drama department.
What about katie vs. Ct? What about Coral vs CT? What about Tonya vs Susie? What about Aneesa vs Ev? What about Frank vs Tori? What about Coral vs Evelyn?
What about katie vs. Ct? What about Coral vs CT? What about Tonya vs Susie? What about Aneesa vs Ev? What about Frank vs Tori? What about Coral vs Evelyn?
Katie vs CT was lame. That lasted no more than 50 seconds and Katie really was doing all the yelling while CT just sat there and looked at her like she was stupid. I don't even remember Coral vs CT. Tonya vs Susie was lame too. not good drama at all. Aneesa vs Ev...well that was alright but nothing special and it only lasted 1 episode. Frank and Tori was funny but still nothing special Coral and Evelyn-see Aneesa vs Ev. And Dandelon I'll give you the Eric dying thing. But really as a whole none of the Recent team challenges haven't been anything special in the Drama department. Hell I'll say that ALL of the recent challenges either had boring drama or no drama at all.
Did you see the Gauntlet 3 reunion? Coral going off on Ev for about ten minutes was the best part, because Ev got Coral really riled up by telling her she was playing victim and Coral kept getting Ev riled up by talking smack about her faux-mance with Brooke. And with this commentary, keep in mind that I like the both of them.

Gauntlet 3 was very very boring after Coral and Beth left. There was no point. Inferno 3 suffered from lagging on and on with the Fresh Meat crew like Kenny and I think maybe Evan (?). The Island wasn't really that bad. I liked it alot but not more than I like some of the earlier challenges. Fresh Meat was good at the time too but it came to late. The Duel 2 was totally awesome. How can you honestly say it was boring? What didn't you like about it? What didn't you like about The Duel?
I think The Ruins will be more entertaining than all of those combined. :)

Slow your roll there. Evan wasn't on Inferno 3, and did I say there was anything wrong with both Duels? No, I just thought Gauntlet 3 was more entertaining. You don't have to agree with me. The only two people from FM that were on I3 were Kenny and Ev, so don't blame it on two people that the season sucked.

Then there was Coral vs. the vets(minus Katie) CT's whole "trim the fat" thing brought alot of drama.
I think The Ruins will be more entertaining than all of those combined. :)
i totally agree. i'm so stoked for the ruins (;
The duel 2 just seemed to drag on for me. It wasn't really exciting to see Landon keep winning, and as soon as he was out, it was obvious Evan was going to win. I usually care more about the athletic stuff, but even when it came to drama, what drama was there on Duel 2 that was all that entertaining? Paula and Dunbar and Kim? Don't make me laugh. The Brad and Tori thing lasted like 1 and a half episodes, Tori and Aneesa was like 5 minutes and that is all I can remember.
CT vs Coral was good and funny. Then there was Coral vs. the vets(minus Katie) CT's whole "trim the fat" thing brought alot of drama.
Man, I miss CT. If only he actually stayed on Duel 2, I think the game would of been turned upside down. Competition wise, it would of been awesome to watch in my opinion. My favorite challenges are always the ones with CT vs Landon vs Evan and etc, then again, a big dog athletic showdown is what appeals to my challenge taste buds. I probably will get a lot of flack for it, but the dude is entertaining as hell. What he says is funny, mix in his Boston accent and absolute blunt nonchalance, and his undeniable athleticism and skill in the challenges and you got yourself a challenge character hard to replace. I don't condone the fighting, but I think that was the only episode of Duel 2 that kept my full interest and attention (Watching all of the dailies made watching the episodes somewhat redundant because most of the clips from the dailies are aired). I don't expect anyone to share my same opinion and it may be a little hometown bias, but he is undeniably $$ for MTV. Come to think of it, most of my favorite duels include him as well. I am looking forward to the Ruins. I like the Real World, but it never peaks my interest as much as the challenges do.
Man, I miss CT.
I think you and I, maybe a couple others, are the only ones that actually like CT.
