Location would not work.
8 Seasons have been on the West while the rest either have been on the East, or the majority, with three of them being out of the country.
Okay well how about BMP either randomly puts the teams together.

Random teams is fine, but how does that fit with the Gauntlet? It doesn't.
What do you mean fit with the Gauntlet?
The Gauntlet is Rookies vs. Veterans. You are saying they could switch up the older series, but it would be inconsistent is my point.
Why does everyone hate Inferno 3? I didnt think it was as bad as Fresh Meat, The Island or either of the Duels.
Really the only players that I really want to see keep doing these challenges, on the female side, are Susie, Tonya and Melinda.

Well if that's the case then the original Gauntlet didn't fit either because that wasn't Rookies vs Veterans.

I struggled to watch Inferno 3 and would rate it as one of the worst in the series. The Cara/Susie stuff was more than I could handle. I fast forwarded through most of of the episodes, usually letting them sit on my DVR first for weeks because I had no interest (i.e. I eventually forced myself to watch.)
That being said, The Island was quite boring as well.
For the most recent Challenges, I personally liked The Duel II and The Gauntlet III the best.
Same here Bacchus.
I think the three most RW/Challenges I have been completely uninterested in were Inferno 3, RW Denver, and Sydney. I didn't like the Island but that was when I first started out on Vevmo so I was interested in hearing what other people thought.
I forced myself to watch the Inferno 3, and I didn't finish Sydney and Denver. I went back and watched those a couple of months ago and they still rank the two worst seasons of the Real World, IMO.
I really don't think I have seen a challenge that has been as entertaining as Gauntlet 3 since it aired last year but I hear otherwise about the ruins. The ruins doesn't have Coral so we'll see...
I agree with Bacchus, although I watched Inferno 3. I may have found it a bore, but I cannot bring myself to not watching a season.
I have much faith in The Ruins TJ, despite no Coral. I don't think a Challenge needs her to be entertaining, she just makes it that way.
Me either. Thank God for Tivo, because I can at least fast forward.
Yeah. I just fast forward commercials and watch the rest.
I will agree though, that Gauntlet III and Duel 2 have been the only recent Challenges to really interest me. So hopefully The Ruins can change this.
I will concur that The Gauntlet 3 was a very entertaining challeneg, however, I found it hard to watch the Duel 2 and the Island they were more boring than Inferno 3. I hope the Ruins is good

THANK YOU! I'm so gald you said that. Everyone fawns over Coral as if she's the ONLY entertaining one on these shows and I can't stand that.

She is my all-time favorite, but I think that we don't absolutely need her.

No we dont, but it sure is nice to have her!

Your telling me. I think this is her longest haitus, 3 challenges in a row? I think its safe to say she may really be retired.

Well she did have a while before Fresh meat. Also, challenges are a lot closer together now then they used to be.

Yeah that was only two challenges. She did battle of the sexes 2 and then she didn't do Inferno 2 & Gauntlet 2, right after Gauntlet 2 was Fresh Meat.
Yeah I guess but the Gauntlet 3 was taped in the summer of 2007, The Island was taped in June or July 2008 (I forget). The Duel 2 was taped last Fall, so even though they maybe be closer, its still been a really long time for her.

Hopefully shes just waiting waiting to make a grand entrance return. Or she could be waiting for the Fresh Meat people to move on because of how they treated her.

True but it wasn't just Fresh Meat, it was the whole entire team with the exception of Katie and Beth.

If the next challenge is The Island 2 she definetly wouldnt do that! I could see her waithing for a new individual format so she wouldn't have to deal with a team against her.

I don't think anybody would want to do the Island again.
So what are the ratings like now on the challenges???
I'm reading the Miz's blog on the gauntlet 1, and apparently the gauntlet 1 finale had a 4.0 rating! Which is pretty good.
I think the challenges around 2003-2004 had the highest ratings because in my opinion, those were the best ones. And the real world las vegas had the highest ratings for "the real world" which was around 2003.
So what was the funniest moment on the challenges for you?
For me It was the gauntlet 2 and I think it was the second to last episode. The Veterans won the challenge and It was a female Gauntlet day so when the Vets won the women were excited so they were all jumping around. right when they started I think Robin's top had ripped off so when brests blurred for a split second right before she held them together. they quickly cut to something else so the whole secne was a nanosecond. It was funny though.
How about you all?
Everyone was talking about how no one would participate if there were to be an Island 2 and it made me think of this question...
Do the cast members know what the challenge is (Duel, Inferno, etc) before agreeing to do it or do they not find out till they get to the challenge location?
True. I could see Aneesa excelling on The Island.
So could I.
Honestly, The Island 2 wouldn't be bad, if they just modified it completely.
