It was guys vs. girls in battle of the sexes.
so why not here
Yeah I think they may allow it, but it would look more unfair than the Island.

Unless its battle of the sexes ahead of time, I just cannot imagine it being good. For arguments sake, Dunbar being there seems a tad more fair. Who knows, maybe the final challenge will be something like who can shop the best?
I don't mean to be harsh on my sex, and I am rooting for "Challenger side" but if it has anything thing to do with a race, a rowing, or physical activity like most of these final challenges I cannot imagine a good outcome. I cannot wait though to find out!

The suspense for this challenge is killing me! If there's an equal number of girls and guys at the end, it would be awesome if they were divided into girl/guy pairs.

That would be interesting.
Haha, I know. I feel like a bad person, being the only one who doesn't like Brad. I did like him when he was a crazy drunk and youngin' on Inferno 2 and Gauntlet 2. I was indifferent to him until Duel II for obvious reasons =( I don't think I will ever get over it. (Just kidding).
I should stop trying to be so negative about this challenge.
Possible Positives:
1. We get to see Casey suck some more. I hope Wes gives us some good commentary.
2. We get to hear Kenny tell us how beautiful he is, because, we don't have eyes.
3. We get to judge who will have the best commentary, Evan versus Kenny. I'd like to throw Wes in there too because I like him, and because I can.
4. Hopefully we get to see Kim drink more and make us love her more. She licked Paula's face drunk once, ewww.
5. We might get to hear how bad *** Evelyn thinks she is.
6. We get to see Shauvon suck, possibly even more than Casey does. Battle for the worst competitor competition?
7. We get to hear Susie's leave it to beaver voice.
8. We get to see Darrell (I hope his head is still bald) and hopefully he does not let us down.
Anyone care to add?
I am indifferent to Brad, but I could see him trying to manipulate his way out of a face off by working with people like Evan/Kenny/Johnny to "throw" challenges, and sacrifice his young to get ahead.
As for the challenge, unless there is a reported climatic ending to where an unlikely winner or winners emerge, then I may decide to just focus ALL my energies on NFL and NCAA football this fall, and await word on a potential fall challenge that will air next Spring perhaps. I would prefer to treat this challenge like MLB, watch for the highlights - dallies moreover.
Any recommendations for potential hangout spots to watch football on Sat,Sun, and Monday's with the hopes of meeting people that can lure me away from the TV on Wednesday's this fall.
I just cannot allow myself to sit through the shady goings ons of J/K/E with unsuspecting competitors who should know better failing to yield the warnings of the few (Wes, Evelyn, Darrell, and perhaps Nick) who are always undermanned or womanned against too many numbers. The Island was pretty bad, but the end result kept my interest.

sorry for the 2P, double post
When I ask for recommendations, I refer to that of the L.A. venue.
I know of Yankee Doodles in Santa Monica, L.A. Live - various spots, and I have heard that Saddleranch is actually a good fottball viewing spot, but have yet to explore that option. any others?

I know a different, far more principled "Brad." That is not something he would be comfortable doing at this point in his life.

I'm standing by the fact that most of us won't get it right. If I guessed though, I would say there are no teams at the end.

I would love if there were no teams at the end. Derrick would tear his opponents up!
Exactly why I am hoping for that to happen rather than teams. I like it when it is indivivdual, but then again with two very individual Challenges in a row, I am kind unsure if they would do it again.
Wow okay so this challenge might as well be called "Every one of my favorites go home" Every single person I like has gone and so far the annoying JEK alliance has stayed. This sucks. I hate when there is too many eliminations.
Brad and Darrell? If they got into a real physical fight that would shock the hell out of me since they were such good friends on INferno 2! Darrell was even ready to fight for his boy Brad when he got into that argument with Abram. That was the only time I'd seen Darrell ever blown up.
I liked them as friends and didn't want to see them fight each other. I wonder if Darrell did something sneaky or shady behind Brad's back to get ahead and they blew up at each other and started swinging. Remember, Darrell is also a boxer.
Too many people go home on this challenge. I like it when the teams can be the size of the Gauntlet teams at the end. It's just depressing to see too many people who have come so far like Cohutta lose.
Isabella, I like how a lot of people go home. It kinda makes the Challenge more complicating. I mean sure it kinda sucks that a lot of people who I like have to go, but it sure does make the competition better.
Something says that Brad and Darrell isn't a spur of the moment thing.
Im sure Cohutta will be asked back for another challenge. I think its more sad that people like Katie, Tonya, Veronica, Ibis, Darrell and Brad are gone because it's supposedly going to be the end of their era.
Okay, WTF. Why were the speculation and spoiler threads merged? I reallly don't want to know what happens, but I'd like to read people's thoughts about the show and speak my own. But nope, I'll pretty much have to stay away from this thread now. Unless I want to know who did what and how and when.
BoSox, you saw the thread title so why did you open it?
TSPKM, Cohutta will probably be asked back, so I won't worry about him. Honestly, they will move on at some point. Will they never be back again, maybe, but I doubt it, so I wouldn't worry.

Bad idea.
It's been like that since the thread was opened. There is a separate Thailand Departures thread that is Spoilers only, but this is not it.

I wasn't spoiled. I went straight to the bottom of the page.
BUTTTT

Nope, you're right. I just checked my browser history.
My bad.
There should be a thread for just speculation.
Whatever, ignore what I said. I won't be back in here anyway because I don't want to know what happens. Actually, I'd just like to know what the format is going to be. That's it.

Beyond the details on the departure thread, everything is speculation (built on the departure thread information.) Thus the reasoning behind the creation of this thread.
We've had plain speculation (non-spoiler) threads in the past, but they just end up becoming a [strike]huge adventure in "babysitting"[/strike] large drain on the moderation team as people (maybe without thinking) start basing their speculation off of spoilers that they should not know if they were spoiler free. This continues page after page and we end up spending an inordinate amount of time moving posts from the non-spoiler thread to the spoiler and speculation thread (generally every third or fourth post.)
As a rule, people speculate (spoiler free) in the episode threads at the conclusion of each show and talk spoilers in the spoiler thread. Keeping spoilers in one thread and having no spoilers in the rest is logistically easy. The same can not be said about multifaceted "speculation."
Being this show has yet to be announced, it is a spoiler as is the cast list etc, so there is much gray area as to what a spoiler is in the first place (e.g. I speculate that "Daisy" was eliminated early or betrayed because I read on myspace that she no longer likes "Jack" and we all know "Jack" is a challenge machine and probably made it to the end.) Unless we are working in a vacuum, there will always be outside influence on "speculation" that in turn could be actual spoilers. It is hard to decide where to draw the line.
That being said, if you want to start a speculation only thread, feel free. However, I probably will not watch it as closely as I have in the past for aberrations (if at all.)

Sorry if I am beating a dead horse...
But there is also the cast thread for this challenge. I honestly have not kept up with it much to know if there are spoilers in it, but that may be a more appropriate place to discuss your throughts on the cast without seeing spoilers and departure info.
First post hell yea!
.
First, off glad susie is still there, i hate how everyone underestimates her
.
second off, is that it for departures, are only 18 people going to be kicked out??? or are there more eliminations to come
.

Welcome to vevmo! 22 people were supposed to be eliminated, but it's still unconfirmed. I think there are more eliminations besides the 18 which probably happened last week, since this week is final week. 28 people started in the game.

Twenty-two? Really? Source please???
Twenty-two? Really? Source please???
I know 18 left, then Bacchus had 4 four empty spots on the departure thread (which were later removed) so I assumed 22. I know it's still unconfirmed.

Perhaps, then, you missed or simply forgot my post indicating that the numbers 19 - 22 were posted by a moderator (me) in error. I later realized my cut & paste error from the full cast list I had in MS Word and deleted then deleted those numbers.

I missed your post about that. Thanks for clearing that up.
