Hehe. Oh Tori. I can't wait for her to come back and kick butt.
That's probably why only Brad went to Thailand. Maybe we'll see Tori by herself on the next one.

And he did model briefly. I thought the one with MJ tucking Evan in was cute.
I was waiting for that daily to show up. He looked darn good in it, even though I saw more than I wanted to, haha.
I loved every moment of it. His girlfriend is one lucky girl. Evan and Mj was cute too haha
Oh don't get me wrong, I wasn't complaining lol! Landon has always been one of the more attractive guys to me. Just never thought I'd see him wearing nothing but juice boxes on my computer screen!
There are some in the cast who want to explore the "juice box" storyline during the Reunion Show.
There are some in the cast who want to explore the "juice box" storyline during the Reunion Show.
So there's a lot more to it that we're not seeing?
Just a thought... I wonder what kind of dog Mark compared Diem to? The clip cut off before we got a chance to hear what he said.
I was waiting for that daily to show up. He looked darn good in it, even though I saw more than I wanted to, haha.
I completely agree with you! Though I have admired Landon's physique (clothed or shirtless) plenty of times over the years, I am more of a conservative girl and that daily was more than I expected and needed to see! I thought it was quite funny when he threw off the side juice boxes, though. And just the fact that he was wearing juice boxes when I thought he might be wearing some kind of speedo or material from the preview clip of the next episode, it made it even more shocking! I am always looking for Landon dailies, though. He wasn't shown the other day, so I was happy to see him again. I noticed he has been out of the big talks some of the guys have been having - just outside the alliance talk, about life, relationships, whatever. Brad and Tori - once again I can understand both of their sides and think they both have valid points. I could definitely tell some piece of the puzzle was missing when I watched their daily clips today. I was wondering if they were going to have an off camera day coming up at that point in the challenge, because it would have possibly been beneficial for them to try and talk things out just a little then, even though they still may not have had as much privacy as they wanted (living with other people and all), and they would have still had to worry about playing the game with different philosophies. I felt bad for Tori and Brad in that situation. I do kind of wonder, though, if Brad talks to Tori in that authoritative tone a lot when they are arguing. I remember seeing him talk to Robin like that on I2 as well. Also, in the earlier daily of Brad and Tori arguing, I thought he had that same tone as well. I didn't see much of his season to get a better view on him overall as a person, but I think it's a possible it's just how Brad argues in general. Maybe not. I don't know - I don't think I've seen enough him in these situations to figure out if it's just his way in general or when talking to certain people. Did he do the same thing on his season?

The Brad you see now is not the same Brad he was on San Diego. Brad just bores me anymore, and he was never like that. I felt like Brad got boring on Gauntlet 3, that is not really a bad thing, he's just more grown up. Although I do miss the entertaining Brad.

He was way more entertaining on Inferno II and Gauntlet II, and although I was Pro-Wes on The Duel I actually felt bad for Brad and was rooting for him. Now he bores me to death and I hate him for no good reason. I guess he is all grown up, and to be 28(I think I read somewhere, to be honest I am too lazy to look it up so feel free to correct me) and still talking the way he was on those past challenges is kinda silly. But still, atleast he entertained there. I find it funny how bad Evan wants Rachel. I totally don't get her appeal. I mean she's got a nice body and all, but her face is gross. Maybe its just me though.

I'm not so sure he wants her that bad...

OMG...more Brad and Tori dailies today. They are extremely hard to watch.
Aww, the daily with Brad and Landon you finally see (first time I saw it, maybe I am just oblivious) the right top index finger of Landon being gone. His sister shut the door on it when he was a baby. =( Poor Lando. And yeah..Brad and Tori dailies are weird, its obvious nothing wants to be discussed on television, but its like..you signed up for this. Not that I feel cheated, but I kinda wanna know lol.
And yeah..Brad and Tori dailies are weird, its obvious nothing wants to be discussed on television, but its like..you signed up for this. Not that I feel cheated, but I kinda wanna know lol.
I think V1Man has given us a fairly good idea of what some of the issues were, and hopefully Tori will have her chance to get her side out there. But yeah, not any easier to watch today than they were yesterday. I think the cameras probably played a large part in prolonging a disagreement that could have been worked out had a more candid and less self-conscious discussion been possible.
A direct quote, "Next time..."
So, Tori will be back on another challenge?
Those were her words some time ago. There are too many variables involved to know with any degree of certainly that she will do another challenge. I think for many cast members it depends upon how they assess their desire to work with BMP in the future. The company has, through things both large and small, burned many bridges to its cast, and is something the MTV executives should be very worried about.

That situation would be SOOO hard. Any couple that could ordinarily communicate and talk about their problems would have a hard time doing so with cameras around and secrets to protect...

That's not good at all.
So most of today's dailies are other people discussing the Tori and Brad situation. Just a quick comment--it seems like Brad's friends are sort of encouraging his anger and validating him by empathizing with him about how unreasonable Tori is being, while Diem is doing her best to calm Tori down and remind her where Brad is coming from. Gender differences? Game tactics? Bottom line, Diem seems like a pretty great friend. I don't know how MJ gets off saying anything is chemically wrong with someone else when he has voluntarily selected that particular hairstyle. (shrug)
Maybe it is partially a situation of gender differences, because I feel I would have been trying to get Tori to understand why Brad is acting the way he is as well and get her to relax. I was thinking about what advice I would give earlier when I watched the dailies, and that's what I came up with. I think the game has a lot to do with it as well with this group of guys. MJ, though I like him, does not exactly seem like Mr. Sensitivity a lot of the time (well, at least in the past - sometimes now, though). I thought his talks with Brad weeks ago in the dailies were really nice and lovely. Brad could talk to him about getting married because MJ is married, and he was being a good listener and telling him that the game didn't matter as much. But that was them talking by themselves, and that was MJ talking about something that he could relate to that's very dear to him (the marriage/family part). MJ talking about Brad and Tori with the other guys was a different - felt like he was just doing his macho thinking there. I still remember MJ giving Landon what I thought was bad advice concerning his relationship with Shavonda on their season. Landon felt he was getting too emotionally invested with Shavonda when they hadn't yet decided to be in a relationship and felt they should end things. So in literally the last few days of them being there, he advices Landon to bring another girl home. I thought that was awful advice and though Landon was at fault for following it, he did realize it was mean after he did it. And of course I love Landon, but I can remember him seemingly wanting MJ to be single while in Philadelphia (probably so they could hang out and find girls together) and I thought his comments and advice concerning their relationship kind of reflected that. For this challenge, it seems he is worried about his friend Brad being in the game still and probably doesn't care enough about Brad's relationship with Tori. So, yeah, maybe these guys (not all guys) aren't the best overall for talking about how to deal with an argument you're having with your fiancee about the game and during the game.
Gosh, it is so hard to watch such a good couple fight like that.
So, yeah, maybe these guys (not all guys) aren't the best overall for talking about how to deal with an argument you're having with your fiancee about the game and during the game.
I won't pretend to know what they were thinking, and I'm sure there are things we're not seeing, but it seemed like Landon, MJ, Evan, etc. were pretty uninterested in seeing Tori's side of things in any way, and I think some of the things that were said (i.e. Evan's "Your girl doesn't have your back") were not necessary and seemed like they could enflame an already bad situation. When you think about the fact that the people, besides Diem, who would have had Tori's back and been supportive of her were the very people she couldn't save because she committed to Brad's game plan...well, I think that says a lot about the problem. Sort of ironically.
Very true MPB. It seems like they were just making the problem worse, and they didn't care that they have a real relationship. It was just upsetting.
Very true MPB. It seems like they were just making the problem worse, and they didn't care that they have a real relationship. It was just upsetting.
Agreed, but this isn't a show to get your relationship to blossom. These shows are known for the drama while providing a goal : to win money. Both Tori and Brad knew this ahead of time, and knew The Duel was alliance and performance based. If Tori had that big of a problem always being picked then why didn't she voice that to Brad ahead of time? Brad is looking out for both of them, and I understand that Tori feels loyalty to her friends, but I do not think she is seeing the bigger picture. Brad's alliance is providing both of them from being in the bottom. Brad wants the win the money for both of them. Winning the money affects both of them. They both knew this ahead of time and should of talked about it and prepared, knowing the cast. If she had a problem she should of told Brad to get a new partner, so they both could play their own game respectively. While I sympathize with Tori and her perspective, it can be seen from a "Have your cake and eat it too" P.O.V. It boils down to what is more important to you, your friendships or safety and lasting in the game. At the end of the day: it is a game. Like a daily with Britt, Rachel, and Aneesa - why pack your bags and threaten to leave and then not follow through with it? Lando, Evan, and Mark can be seen as just making it worse but they are looking at it from the bigger picture. Landon has a relationship outside of the game, and I am unsure about Mark. Having a relationship on MTV on The Duel II is risky to begin with, so I think they are trying to back up and provide the assurance Brad needs to know that he isn't doing anything wrong. While I don't particularly like Brad, I understand what he is trying to accomplish. Neither have seen the duel, and are always picked. In terms of gameplay, they are doing just fine. If Tori wasn't okay with that style of game play, and cares more about loyalty to friendships than being picked, she shouldn't have agreed to it in the first place.
I understand your point of view LC, and agree that this show isn't meant to show any pity. Here's my perspective: Tori went in wanting to play her game, but help Brad out as much as possible. The fact that there is this partner thing occuring, does not let her play the game she wants. While it is obvious that Tori is making a lot of friends from the dailies, and she wants to support them, she has to support Brad. If Brad didn't have her, he would be at the bottom or near it. Tori doesn't have it in her, or at least it seems like it, to just tell Brad no, because she wants him to be successful in the game. She has constantly showed that she wants to save people who deserves it rather than The List, because in the end, it will only hurt them. Landon, MJ, and Evan offering their opinion is not bad per say, but it really isn't going to help the situation because they are just putting more fuel on the fire.
