I dislike Kenny, but not because he was on Fresh Meat. I just don't like his personality. Evan and Eric are okay, but not my favorites. Ryan, Diem, and Casey have never done anything to make me dislike them. Evelyn is my favorite challenge female. So not much Fresh Meat hate coming from my end :).
Because most of them are disgustingly annoying. I do like Evelyn, Evan, and Diem though. That's about it.
I would love to see another Fresh Meat, or Fresh Meat 2. Some new faces would be quite refreshing.
I just get tired of seeing them on every challenge. I don't hate anyone but i do dislike Kenny, Evan, and Evelyn the most. The others are ok, but the only thing i don't like is that the keep getting invited for every single challenge and it gets so predictable because it's the same people for each challenge.
I, personally, love most of the FM. I think it's interesting how people who were new to MTV are the ones who completely seem to rule the show now. I never quite understand how people can dislike Kenny and Evan. They are 90% of the reason I tune in. If it wasn't for the running commentary of Evan and the amazing face that Kenny has, the challenges wouldn't have as much appeal for me. I like watching the physical aspects of a challenge but I like to laugh along the way too. Those two guys have no problems making fun of themselves and it makes them fun to watch. I also really enjoy Ev as a competitor and Casey and Easy just as funny people to watch. I could do without Diem though. She's always been a bit whiny for my tastes. I do understand why people like her though, and her story is very powerful. Just my two cents on the Fresh Meat.
This thread inspired me to go back and watch some of these episodes, and I completely forgot how much I used to like Evan! Past few challenges I've been hot and cold with him, but I used to be crazy about him. I'm sure it had something to do with him being Coral's partner...
So I re-watched Fresh Meat this past week and it got me thinking about the other cast members on the show. As we know, Evan, Kenny, Eric, Evelyn, Casey, Diem and Ryan all came back for additional challenges. But Aviv, Chanda, Linette, Johnnie and Jesse haven't seen one challenge since Fresh Meat.
Now maybe some of those people didn't want to come back, but I always believe that in their contracts they have to come back for a certain amount of challenges if MTV asks them to. So if that was the case, why not bring the last 5 back that I talked about? Jesse and Chanda were pretty boring on the show, but the other 3 had a good amount of funk to them and definitely good bring some spark to the show.
Anyone? Anyone?
I don't know, they kind of bored me. I liked them competition wise, but they never stuck out for me. As bad as it may sound, Evan, Kenny, Diem, and Eric were entertaining on Fresh Meat. Ev wasn't around long enough. The others, not so much.
I do know on the aftershow, some of them were ripping on them saying that they were boring. I liked Aviv, and I don't understand why Shane hasn't been back in awhile.
Shane's not fresh meat and he did RR 14.
No, Shane did Road Rules 11, Campus Crawl. I was just wondering why he hasn't been back.
Aviv - She won the challenge. Pretty good reason to come back.
Linette- She had that little thing going on with Theo (which means she might, maybe might, start another thing with another castmate which BMP loves.) She is really pretty. And she had that little tuff with Diem over voting.
Johnnie - He seemed like a drama queen. Plus he was pretty good at the challenges, so it would make sense for him to come back.
Recently, TJ, lol.
What do you mean recently?
Edit: I'm an idiot, He did Viewers revenge, didn't he? I watched until Abram got kicked off, than I stopped watching.
I was just thinking that, i would love for closeted Jesse to come back on a challenge, he was cute.
I really liked Aviv, Linette, and Chandra and i hope they come back also. Eric is a bore and so is Evelyn so i wouldn't mind if they were replaced by maybe Jesse and Linette.
Ryan wasn't that interesting on the show but when i learned that he was stalking Shane for awhile, that sparked my interest.
I agree with this thread. I never understood why they didn't invite the others to challenges again. I mean if the Fresh Meat are gonna be plastered all over the challenges they can at least not pick the same 6 people.
Seriously is Mixing it up really that hard or is BMP just Lazy?

Well maybe the same 6 are the only ones accepting the invitations.
Aviv would most likely consider coming back. But as for Johnnie? No. Don't know about the others.
Aviv told me she would love to come back; however she was told she did not create enough drama for them.

Best move you could of made =)
Best move you could of made =)
Seriously.
Viewers Revenge was Horrible. I don't know what BMP was thinking when they did that.
Aviv told me she would love to come back; however she was told she did not create enough drama for them.
Aw, that's kind of sad to me. I agree with Debut Album - that if they are going to insist on having FM people on the challenges, they should use some of the others. I once thought about it maybe being for the best if they just used a couple FM people over and over again, but instead of using just two here or there, they ended up using seven of them on G3, and I just got tired of seeing them or didn't find them interesting (or both).
Aviv seemed like she was a cool girl who was tough (physically/competition-wise). Chanda was a school teacher, wasn't she? That might explain why she hasn't been back - that is, if she's been asked. She seemed kind of interesting when I saw an extra clip of the guys talking to her and she had a chip on her shoulder from a broken relationship. Plus she competed well, and wasn't there some joke or hint about something happening with her and Theo (like Theo was trying to get with her or something)?
Well maybe the same 6 are the only ones accepting the invitations.
Aviv said that she would do another challenge Why didn't they ask her back? Oh wait it's because she was boring which doesn't make sense to me because Evan and Kenny are not funny nor Likable, What has Diem offered other than her Cancer story? What has Eric and Ryan done that have been so Interesting that they call them for Several Challenges? Evelyn is the only one that is somewhat Interesting. So for them to pass up Aviv makes no sense to me.

I think Evan and Kenny are pretty funny at times. They offer some of the best commentaries on the challenges. So far on the duel 2, Evan has had the most exciting commentaries.
I do agree that Eric and Ryan haven't really done anything interesting. The only interesting thing Big Easy did was costing the vets 300 Gs on G3.
They need to bring back Aviv because she won the Fresh Meat challenge.
I hate that boring excuse as well. If you want to go on that boring excuse, using a BMP cast member as my first example, the only time Katie was ever interesting was on the first Inferno and all of her good footage was edited out on Gauntlet 3. Only thing Evan has ever done is screwed Coral over on Gauntlet 3 and Kenny hasn't done nothing besides talk about how pretty his face is. I respect Diem for what she went through because someone close to me had cancer and died from it but that story was played out on the first Duel. Sometime when people say Ryan I have to think to myself...who? I just feel like it's not necessary how boring there are it's about the enviorment there put in like I remember reading on this thread Johnnie was drama queen well I would be to if I was partnered up with Tonya, lol. I'm pretty sure he's not its just the fact he was Tonya's partner and Tina even said on that season in a confessional "Johnnie finally is seeing what we see in Tonya" or something. But the point I'm trying to make it's not about how boring a cast member is its about how the game is played it can really affect people's minds which can screw with there personalities another BMP example is Julie she was this conservative mormon on New Orleans but wanted to wrestle Coral on The Inferno and she even ****** on her bed, lol.

I agree.
I mean some of the Real World/Road Rules castmembers are boring and yet they keep getting asked back for challenges (Derek being an Example as much as I like him).
Oh and You brought up a good point about the whole Enviorment thing.
I looked around a bit for this topic, but couldn't find it. So im sorry if its been asked and answered.
Why is Fresh Meat so hated? Not so much the season even, i watched it and it was a weaker season, however i liked the people whom have come from it. I esp think Ev, Evan and Kenny have added a lot to the seasons they have been on. Diem has been an inspiration to so many and put yet another face on cancer, i also think shes added a lot of drama and holds her own for the most part on the challenges. Even Ryan and Casey have brought more to the seasons they have been on than many from the real worlds that come on.
I liked the idea, the challenges did need some fresh meat IMHO, and i wouldn't mind another one.
I don't think it's hate for "Fresh Meat" as much as it is hate for Kenny and Evan. Not many people on Vevmo dislike Ryan, Diem, or Casey. I don't think people necessarily like Eric but nobody really hates him that I'm aware of. Evelyn has many fans on this board, and is actually a member herself.
I think most of my own frustration goes back to the fact that half of the Fresh Meat cast has been forgotten and not on another challenge (such as Aviv, Johnnie, Chanda, Linette, etc.) I would love to see one of them again.
Why is Fresh Meat so hated?
I think of it like NBA basketball as it does help draw an analogy. The Real World/Road Rules Challenge initially started off as an All-Star Challenge and I still continue to think of it as the best personalities from individual seasons being brought into a new environ to compete. It is a show for the fans.
All these players have put their blood sweat and tears into their individual season just like NBA players put into theirs. They have been thoroughly vetted and in the process we learned about their idiosyncrasies and were given ample time to get an idea of who they were as people and in what environments they performed best.
Finally, the All-Star game rolls around and the most interesting an exciting players are about to be selected to represent their division (i.e. Real World or Road Rules.)
However, instead of getting the best players from around the league, a bunch of people we never heard of are tossed into the equation. Not only do they disrupt this one game, but they suddenly become the face of the event and most of the veteran players retire.
Can you imagine if the NBA All Star game roster was half filled by people from the crowd? I think there would be complaints...
That being said, you can probably count on their being another Fresh Meat. I have a gut feeling (actually more like a educated hunch) that the next Challenge will use that format as Road Rules is dead and they are quickly running out of casting options to keep the series alive. So haters and lovers alike, prepare for Fresh Meat 2!

I, personally, don't care too much for Casey.
