Allow me. It is a combination of many factors. The edit is of course one of them. For that example I will use my daughter, Is she really a kissing bandit..or did the fact that she got mono make that her edit for the season? Some have really changed as people and look back at there seasons with a "Was I really like that?" The most important element is with time you would hope that they would mature. Some actually do.
It is clear, thy can see that BMP really can actually take fomidable storylines and completely thwart them to cause confusion or a snorebore. For example, the Paula/Dunbar saga was a waste of time, and for 3 series now, Dunbar has appeared to be this raging lunatic with no self control. In addition, they have also singlehandedly taken what was once imo to be a good concept - The Aftershow, and dismantle it into a boring soap opera that at times can be unbearable to watch. Case in Point - this upcoming aftershow when the dwell on the Jenn/Rachel/Aneesa love hate triangle. Who cares about a "character" who is confused about her sexuality, another "character" who isn't over a former lover, and a third "character" who seems to be the innocent victim of circumstance. Sounds like Jerry Springer to me. Mark Long can personally thank BMP for causing his show to tank. The challenge itself is surviving imo off of the improved daily challenges and the manipulation of the game.
Really Evan is like 230-240 and brad looks like he weighs in around 170. (Brad is as big as Nehemiah) this what it seems
Really? I'd estimate Brad at at least 200. He's six feet tall, according to his myspace, and he's very muscular. He's really not a small guy. Nehemiah is, I think, less than 6 feet by a couple of inches.

It only looks like he weighs less because he carries more muscle in his arms and legs but still Evan got a scholarship to play hockey and this in my opinion would merit him being tougher to beat Brad.

Brad and Evan have different strengths and weaknesses. Brad is, IMO, a lot mentally tougher than Evan. Evan has a tendency to buckle in elimination rounds, become easily frustrated, and impede his own ability to perform.

That and he can't be quiet for the life of himself.
