Have you much experience with reality show reunions?
My friend wanted me to go to the Battle of The Sexes 2 reunion but I couldn't get away from school.

Vetting takes place by email and then in person on the day of the reunion. It happens both for MTV and Vh1 reunion shows. They like their audience to have some reflection of their audience. While no one will admit to it, I've been at enough reunion shows to have concluded that they also care about the telegenic nature of their audience.

Lucky you. Even if I did make it I was wondering if the audience was allowed bathroom breaks/food.

For me, being there is often part of my job, and not in the audience.
Food? No. The audience gets a break when the cast and crew take a break -- 10 minutes. The call time for the Brooklyn reunion show was 11:30 am. Taping ended at about 5:30 PM, if I recall correctly.
That's a long time to take out of your schedule (referring to the audience). When is the Duel 2 reunion show schedule if and when they are having one?
It's been posted frequently here. The reunion will be on June 8th at 1515 Broadway. The call time has not been announced, but I'd expect it to be about 11:30 am, given past shows. You can check Casting Call | Shows, Series and Video Casting Submissions | MTV for details in about a week.
The narrator for these challenges are beginning to get annoying. Is it really necessary to have a narrator rather than just letting the scenes play out with clips ?

Unfortunately, a narrator is necessary when the available interviews with cast don't tell the story the story editor wants to tell. It happens when things change in the middle of taping or when production didn't fully realize what was happening around them. The narrator is the necessary glue.
You could use one or more of the cast members to provide the same continuity, but that is frought with obvious problems not easily overcome.

So I don't really understand the underlying importance of why there is a criteria for selecting the audience.. And its partly because I don't see the audience interact with the cast..what is prodiction hoping to gain from the audience?..Educate me lol

And probably, based on some general TV rules I know of, no one who would stand out sharply and draw obvious attention in a shot of the audience. Guessing it's not because they play a role in the reunion; it's because they will be on camera and shown in brief establishing shots.

One of my least favorite things on the show are TJ's clearly dubbed voiceovers.

Thanks :preved:
I was just wondering why didn't Dunbar or anyone of the males so far call out Brad as in he is the smallest of the guys and probably fairly easy to beet in the combat challenge?

Because Brad is the resident nice guy.

Brad is the smallest of the guys? I thought Evan was kinda smaller.
V1man I have a question for you: It seems that these people (character potrayals for t.v.) start off as over the top and dramatic i.e. early Mark, Brad the Miz incident, so on so forth and progressed into the people they are now. Have they really changed as people or in many cases have they just received a new edit in which potrays them in a new albeit different light?
Brad is the smallest of the guys? I thought Evan was kinda smaller.
Really Evan is like 230-240 and brad looks like he weighs in around 170. (Brad is as big as Nehemiah) this what it seems

Allow me. It is a combination of many factors. The edit is of course one of them. For that example I will use my daughter, Is she really a kissing bandit..or did the fact that she got mono make that her edit for the season?
Some have really changed as people and look back at there seasons with a "Was I really like that?"
The most important element is with time you would hope that they would mature. Some actually do.
so you really are Colies mom. I just thought that was your username
Yes, she is, and I agree with her prior answer to you. Quite honestly, she should be 'Everymom."
Is BMP lazy? I have pondered this question for sometime now and the answer always seems to be yes. Why you may ask. Well for starters they send out the same characters every season and label them *favorites* of the fans. Yet if they send these people out they don't have to develop new storylines they can stick to the old ones. Case point one
Case point 2 when you send in the same people i.e. robin, Evan, Eric, Ryan etc. you already have your results set it's almost guarnteed that you keep the presumed strong around in that the lines have been drawn.
I propose they do a challenge maybe not right now but soon in which they don't allow people who can't stop coming back katie Even after retiring mark. In which we the fans choose who goes into that given season of real world road rules. This would finally end those talks of who is the fan favorites and who the execs really just like. In the end it all comes down to the fans. *Hoping this happens*

It won't happen. Casting does not work that way for any show. They tried something like this with Viewer's Revenge and it was a complete disaster from a production standpoint and... more importantly... no one watched and no one significant advertised.
What I was thinking of was completely different from that. What I though was you have 40 people from these seasons. Doesn't matter the # really and you plug this through a beginning trailer(preferably around the time you real world trailers). Then when the real world season is on it shows updates of what is happening through the voting process and who has made it into this group. By week 10 or 11 of the show the real world your cast is announced. Then as real world is finishing airing it's epsiodes they film the show with the 20 odd so that make it into the challenge. This way this challenge could air and fans would have invested interest in the contestant as they voted them all in. The only major downside is the layoff between the votes and the show airtime

A more serious problem is that these people have real lives, families, jobs, bills/mortgages. Few in their right minds live with that kind of uncertainty.
What is so wrong with this!!! Just because you aren't guarnteed a spot on the challenge. Sorry I wasn't clear on that week 10 or 11 I meant that during airing of the real world week 10 or 11 the cast would be announced. Also I guess I made it unclear but they wouldn't be their during this time frame they would film vlogs and have voters adn rally people from home. They would just film there promos for the show. ( This is a fans point of view not the people on the shows ideals) Thanks for the response though.

There are just too many production issues for me to explain... Enjoy your idea though. I'm out...

I know Evan starkman is on these challeneges and is Canadian
I am also Canadian and though they didn't cast people outside the United States

I recall Evan being a student in the US when he was selected for Fresh Meat.
