Grey's Ep.522: What a Difference a Day Makes
100th Episode: As Meredith, Derek and all of their friends prepare for the big wedding, a group of college students, injured in a car crash as they were heading to their graduation ceremony, is admitted to the ER. Meanwhile, Izzie fears the worst when she begins experiencing familiar symptoms. WHOO! 100 eppy's! And congrats to Chyler and Nathan!
It was a touching episode although it took the surprise that Alex was going to marry Izzy to really kick it into overdrive. If Izzy dies I don't know what will be left of this show. Her scenes are the ones that I gravitate to and if you cut those out it would really suck the life out of Greys (and Alex.) Random thought... The Callie I am broke arc is somewhat ridiculous. She is a resident and lives in a demure apartment (only playing half the rent.) She doesn't have college loans as daddy has already paid them off. She doesn't have kids or alimony. Um, how is it she is so broke? What are her expenses that she would not be able to afford food?

I kept thinking, if she didn't need her salary all these years what has she been doing with it? It would seem to me she would be saving it and her dad would not (legally) be able to take what she has earned as a dr. away. It's kinda silly to me.

Callie is taking a left turn on me, which is too bad because I like her character, but I think they need to figure out a different storyline for her. It was nice to see Alex and Izzie get married, I thought I might cry for a second. I need me some more Sloan and Lexie!

Shonda blog post about the 100th episode:
I went up to the editing room when the show was being editing and I saw my first images of Izzie lying in the hospital bed bald. And I started to cry. And I said to Susan Vaill, our brilliant editor, I said, “Ummm…I think Izzie is really sick.” And she hollered at me “YOU MADE HER SICK!!!!”
Yeah I don't want Izzie to die...if she does I am pretty sure I will stop watching. Unless they take the focus off of MerDer and put it on Slexie

After Denny died from cancer, they can't do this to her too :( Oh and I love Slexie..haha. Did you just come up with this?

He died from heart problems. He got a new heart and I guess it's called rejection. His body rejected his new heart. I hope they don't kill off Izzie I like her on the show. It did come as a surprise that her and Alex got married, I didn't see that coming at all.
He died from heart problems.
If I remember correctly, it was a clot. And there is no question (in my mind) that episode was the best Grey's Anatomy episode EVER.
If I remember correctly, it was a clot. And there is no question (in my mind) that episode was the best Grey's Anatomy episode EVER.
I.T.A.!! I just got finished watching...I was tearing up like crazy! Izzie looked Beautiful! I loved the dress...all of it but the neck strap, LOL. So Callie said her dad cleaned out her bank account so I am guessing that is where all her Dr. Money was too and perhaps he thought it as a repayment installment, LOL. And now she is starting from scratch...square 1 with the first paycheck. LOL I am still loving Slexie even though we didn't get much of them, the wedding scene was very sweet.
If I remember correctly, it was a clot. And there is no question (in my mind) that episode was the best Grey's Anatomy episode EVER.
As if there was even a question... So my roommate unplugged the TV (we're in the process of moving) so I totally missed this episode. I'm stalling on going to abc.com since they're painfully slow...ugh.
I just caught this episode...I could not (and still can't) stop bawling.
I just caught this episode...I could not stop bawling.
Yeah just watched Friday night and it was so sad!!! Especially the Izzie story, but the kids in that accident really hit a nerve...I already have this big fear of car wrecks so I don't let my little sister ride with friends ANYWHERE...it makes her so mad, but I can't help it.
I can't watch it right now if I know it'll make me cry.
Good idea. I didn't know it was going to make me cry, and I was in a horrible mood when I started watching it. I wasn't able to stop crying for a good hour or so.

Whew so I finally just watched this episode *dries tears*. Someone, please give Justin Chambers an Emmy. I agree what a GREAT episode. Sad to see another season end but really excited (nervous!) for tonight.
