Wow, thats great. I'm happy for Robin, and hope her pregnancy is going well. I'm 29 weeks along with my first and having a boy, due July 7. I've never been happier, and I'm feeling great, so I hope she's having just as great of an experience. I'm curious about the policy regarding being on a challenge while pregnant. I could have sworn that several years back, a female was on a challenge and knew she was expecting. I'm thinking it was Cynthia from Miami, but I'm not sure. I certainly don't blame Robin for not knowing she was pregnant. She would have just been in the first few weeks of her pregnancy. But I'm surprised production doesn't test for such things if they're worried about the liability.
Hello. The person you are thinking of is Gladys from RR Latin America, and she was pregnant during Battle of the Sexes. The doctors on the challenge wouldn't let her do certain missions. Cynthia had already had a child prior to BOTS2. Congrats and good luck with your baby.

Yeah I remember Gladys being pregnant on a challenge awhile back...how did that happen? And Belou brought her infant child to one!! Things must have changed later on...
Yeah OPD. I will never forget Belou and when she brought her baby. And evil Hollywick.... Hopefully this means Robin will take a break as well and settle down with her baby.

Wow. Congratulations to Robin.

I think such an action would be on shaky legal ground, but this is not an area in which I have any expertise.

Now let's hope she starts to take better care of herself and doesn't keep doing all the crazy things it seems she has been doing recently.

But if they do pee tests for drugs for the challenges, they could always just sprinkle some extra on a stick...;)
Wasn't Robin going back to, or planning on going back to school? I can't remember where I read or heard that, but I thought I remembered hearing it around the time of The Island. Hopefully she will be able to continue with that eventually as well, once she's gotten everything worked out. Belou vs. Chadwick and Holly. Good times, good times. I actually think it might be neat if the challenge producers could arrange for cast members with a child to do the challenges by accommodating a hotel (or a guesthouse or something similar on the same property) for them to stay in with their child and either their husband/wife/partner, or provide them with a nanny for their stay if they didn't have someone who could come and watch them. This would cost more money, yeah, but if they really wanted some cast members with children to do a challenge, perhaps they could be willing to accomodate one or two of such cast members a challenge. And of course it would work best during summer for those with school aged children.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any past castmember with a baby (apart from Beth) that I would want to see back on a challenge.
Wow I did not see this one coming. Congrats to Robin.

Doesn't Kendal have a child? I would love to see her come back.
Yeah I remember Gladys being pregnant on a challenge awhile back...how did that happen? And Belou brought her infant child to one!! Things must have changed later on...
IIRC, Gladys was already pregnant when she arrived but something happened and she didn't know she was with child until later on. I'm not totally sure about the latter part though.
IIRC, Gladys was already pregnant when she arrived but something happened and she didn't know she was with child until later on. I'm not totally sure about the latter part though.
I don't know how she couldn't know. Wasn't she pretty visibly pregnant on the challenge?
IIRC, Gladys was already pregnant when she arrived but something happened and she didn't know she was with child until later on. She was prohibited from competing in Dead Man's Drop. I do think though, that on her RR season, she had lost a baby or something to that extent.
I thought she was only 5 months along? It wasn't like she was about to pop or anything.
No, but she was significantly showing. Even with Robin being 1-2 months along while on The Challenge, she looked amazing.
If only they were that considerate... Off the top of my head, I can't think of any past castmember with a baby (apart from Beth) that I would want to see back on a challenge.
Yeah. It was great they did it for Brynn those couple of weeks during the RW Las Vegas reunion, and it was great they did it for Belou during Seasons. I remember back then I thought it was weird she was on a challenge with a baby, but really, the baby was taken care of and she got to spend time with her. I don't know if she had anyone to take care of the baby back home (the baby's father was in jail), plus the baby was only six months old. Better the baby there with her than left behind all the way back in Amsterdam. I would like for Brynn to do a challenge. I'd also like to see Kendal as well as Emily (!) and Holly (!) to do another one, and they all have babies. Beth is such a star for the challenges that I would hope they would at least consider providing her (or any other star challenge player that might have a child in the future) accommodations if she wanted to do another challenge.
I thought she was only 5 months along? It wasn't like she was about to pop or anything.
Yea, didn't mean to indicate otherwise, just meant to convey it in a way to explain that there was no way she could have not known it
plus the baby was only six months old
Don't you mean six months years old? ;) That'll forever be one of the RW/RR classic lines
Congrats to Robin. I guess no challenges for a while.
No, but she was significantly showing. Even with Robin being 1-2 months along while on The Challenge, she looked amazing.
Well yeah...I know people that haven't even shown until they were 8 months pregnant. It's pretty common to not start showing until 4-5 months along.
Well yeah...I know people that haven't even shown until they were 8 months pregnant. But I am a male, and wouldn't feel write trying to speak about this situation. I wonder if Robin will swear off Challenges altogether?

MJ had a similar quote on G3, but I can't remember the exact way he said it (or the month/year).
I wonder if Robin will swear off Challenges altogether?
Well, she still hasn't won one, and that was a goal of hers. But who knows how she will feel once the baby is here. And perhaps she could be thinking about money for her child's future, like Derrick and MJ did.
Congrats to Robin. I guess no challenges for a while.
Or she will come back even more to win more money.
Or she will come back even more to win more money.
I don't think that would be fair because Kendal supposedly wanted to do the same thing and they allegedly said no.
I don't think that would be fair because Kendal supposedly wanted to do the same thing and they allegedly said no.
No, actually Kendall became a replacement for The Island. I just hope that this gives Robin the incentive to stay home and be a great mom.
Oh okay. I was confused about that.
Congratulations to Robin. I hope all goes well with her pregnancy.
Congratulations to Robin! I hope that she is taking care of herself and the baby. She looked a little off on the Duel. It was meant for her to leave when she did. I don't think Evan is a good friend to Robin at all. He shouldn't be telling her business to anyone else unless he was the baby's daddy and not even then. I hope that he apologizes to her for revealing that information.
This is a shock but either way congratulations to Robin! Can only wish her the best of the best through this.
