Of Real world VS Road rules.
I would like it but road rules got canceled and is in hiatus, I´m not sure why.
But anyway here are the reasons why I would want the challenge to go back to it´s original format.
I don´t know about you guys but I think that the best challenges are up until IF2.The others were good too but it seemed that from there the challenges went downhill(Note this is just my opinion).
First of all the whole rookie deal and the alliances are annoying like on the first episode of the duel when Ryan picked Nick(even though he knew that Nick had an injure hand). He said something that made me angry that was that Nick was a rookie and he had to pay his deuce. This for me is really dumb.I feel that before the challenge was more base on performance rather than alliances and rookies trying to prove themselves to the veterans.Like CT on the first inferno was new and he did not have to prove himself to anyone the team recognize that he was an asset and so he was given respect immediately same with Jeremy.
My favorite two challenges were the the gauntlet and the inferno mainly because the two weakest players from the road rules team of each season despite all odds made it to the end.I´m talking about Sara and Katie, which even though their whole team want them gone they manage to stay and take the big prize;).
And everybody knew that they were doing wrong by sending Sara so many times to the gauntlet and her winning for them each time.Even so that prior to the finale elimination they made her a cake :) let´s compare this to a recent challenge e.g fresh meat,Wes and Casey went to exile all but two times and nobody cared since they were outcasts rather than being on a alliance.
Also I feel the challenges were more human I mean they show how the players left and pack their stuff rather that in the recent ones they are just seen walking away and that´s it.Another example of this is the host Johny Mosley explained the rules and had charisma and said stuff like"If you lose you pack your shit and go home" while Dave Mirra had a certain appeal that made him like able he interacted more with the cast and gave his thoughts regarding the performances and the eliminations I remember him being in the same room while the real world team made their decision in sending Julie to the inferno. While TJ...I mean I have nothing against T but he just feels like a robot when he explains the rules I can´t remember TJ saying something apart from "No,quitting"and getting angry because some cast members quit or "Your a hell of a competitor man, unfortunatley it wasn´t your day" or "It wasn´t due to lack of effort".
I don´t see his appeal but one thing that made me laugh is the most of the users of mtv made comments on the GIII and Inferno III about how they only watch the show since TJ was "hot".
I don´t remember ever hearing the whole rookie and veterans thing prior to BOTS2 when Adam King got kick out and Brad got screwed in the end.Since the other guys had an alliance.(Poor Brad).
Here´s another detail that might be interesting to discuss. It seems that now how the challenges are the rooks atlest have to be in various challenges prior to start taking control of the game and the politics of the game. This can be seen with bananas haven´t you guys notice that his personallity(I mean on his edit)started changing and he started gaining more confince after each challenge.Let´s see
Duel:He was a newbie and nobody knew him and so he was eliminated first.
Inferno:We can see that bananas is trying to support other rookies like when Davis got punched he was there with him.Asking if he was ok and stuff.
Gauntlet III:Here we can see Johnny changing even though he was eliminated early he stand out against CT and defended himself and started yelling.
Island:Now after 3 prior challenges Bananas has taken control he is proclaim by his alliance as the king of the island he is running things on the island the reason why he got his key back is because he had the support of Derrick and the members of the alliance he knew how to play the game and was a *******.
I see the same thing that happened to Bananas to happened with Dunbar let´s not forget that the duel II is his second challenge and he is starting to have more of a say in the game rather than before that he was just there.I´m almost certain that Dunbar will be on the pit and we will see more of him. This kinda reminds me of the WWE when the superstar must climb until they are finally main eventers.
I can keep on going analyzing everyone like Derrick that had to wait until his sixth challenge to finally win one but that would be boring.
Anyway I´ll edit this later and add more points. But for now what are your opinions?
