Spring Challenge Cast Speculation (2009)

Well tell Beth that I said when is she not on a challenge besides now and the last challenge. She's 40 yrs old and still doing challenges, although I like her... It wouldn't be Beth if she wasn't back on a challenge. P.S. I have my sources = )

Don't worry I won't lol. I think a thread should be started on who we think will be on the callenge. All this guessing gets annoying. From what i read the cast members leave april 28th which is next week monday! So till then i don't think any info will be revealed. I'm just hoping on old veterans, the brookyln cast. I don't think there is non drama on any challenge so whoever is there or not we all know drama will follow.

Plus it wouldn't be fun for the moderators :) I believe that there was an airport cast sighting thread for the Duel II, so just count down the days til then. Make one of those construction paper link things. I'm definitely excited to see who they're bringing into this challenge. The cast has been hyped so much, it would be nice to see some classic competitors back.

If Ruthie, Mark, Landon, and Rachel were able to come back I wouldn't be surprised to see older vets come back. I sick of the rookies vs vets, good guys vs bad *****, boys vs girls, format so im hoping for a new format this time around. Real World (red team) vs Road Rules( blue team) vs Fresh Meat (green team)? That's a thought.

Thats a good idea, however I don't think there is enough fresh meat, or Road rulers for that matter.

True! But I think the other fresh meat kids need more air time. Linette, Johnnie, and Aviv i can see on another challenge but i don't think they were ever contacted again. I thought Ryan was lame but they called him back 4 times and he turned out to be okay, and i thought Ryan didn't get much air time on fresh meat. Eric, Diem, Casey, and Evan stood out the most that's why they were always asked to do another challenge... imo Road Rules also needs more cast members. Road Rules only had 14 seasons, and only few cast members are asked back. I only see cast members from South Pacific, X-treme, Campus Crawl, Viewer's Revenge, Semester at Sea, and Road Rules 1, only 2 people from each season are probly asked back Real World is by far most popular.

Please free to speak your minds regarding cast speculation. This is not a "spoiler" thread, a spoiler thread in instance being defined as identifying one or more people who are actually contracted for the next challenge. If I've been told by a cast member that he or she is not going and does not object to my sharing this information, then I'll certainly share that information here since that individual is not under any contract terms to remain silent. This is the reason I was able to confirm that Beth is not participating. She found it amusing that with a four-month old baby, anyone would think she would leave Julia Cate for 8 weeks. I would not regard any name as being official participating in the challege until Bacchus so declares. That is why his location is Mt Olympus (and he owns this place). And now to respond specifically to calls for me to reveal cast members: There are two conditions which may exist that bind me to a clause in the cast member contract which ban a discussion of production detail (naming cast is "production detail": 1. Vision 1 Media Group is engaged to negotiate/advise on a contract offered to a potential cast member by BMP/on behalf of MTV Networks/Viacom for a "work for hire" in association with an upcoming TV series. 2. Vision 1 Media Group is engaged to train someone to be a cast member for some future series. To the extent that we become aware through the training process of others that are participating in the same show, we are obligated by a client confidentiality agreement not to disclose what we learn through the process.

[B]Concerning casting spoilers:[/B] I don't have any contractual obligations such as those that V1man alluded to above. However, if I start listing names as I get them it causes a variety of issues. First, BMP reads this forum and tries to piece together who knew about a given cast member. Then they make threatening calls and sources dry up; are removed from the loop; are fired etc. They also take measures to combat information gathering based on how a given cast members identify was acquired (e.g. if it was from a third party such as a social networking platform) and things start getting deleted. In other words, they begin battening down the hatches. So it comes down to getting the entire cast 4 months before it airs or getting half the cast 5 months before it airs and then waiting another 2-3 months for information to start leaking from myspace and facebook to complete the list. I could surely take the approach of the latter, although in the end it is much less accurate and I feel we are all better served if we take a methodical, yet patient approach to getting the[I] complete[/I] cast. That being said, all signs point to a departure date at the end of this month and at that time we should have a complete tally of those attending. p.s. If you have ever seen Murder on the Orient Express, you might better understand the methodology to information release here at Vevmo. If we post the information in a sanctioned, careful manner in which everything is disclosed in one fell swoop - BMP is left with an entire train of leakers rather than a clear culprit.

As much as we all want Beth, she has way much more important things to do. At this point, the cast seems to be very good, but I wouldn't know anything, so all we can do is wait. I wouldn't throw the possbiility away, but she just seems like a one-hit wonder.

The ones that seem to be more secretive and hair-raising like the last two, end up shocking me more. As for a guess, I have a strange feeling either Brianna is on the Challenge or received an invite.

I personally think that Svetlana doesn't want to do another challenge. Since the first duel she has been asked asked back once, and that was for Gauntlet 3. She accepted then drop out before filming began. Never say never though she's a good competitor and a lot of people like her...

Isn't she a doctor? Why would she waste her time?

There are two appearance fee structures, one for rookies (first or second challenge) and one for veterans. If Ryan had gone home in week one, he would have received the full payment. Nick, as a rookie, would have only received the weekly amount, probably two weeks, since i think that is how long he had been away at that point. This is NOT something cast members talk about, but consider Tyrie's departure from G3, Coral's departure from the same challenge after refusing to compete, and Dave Sky's departure from The Island. In all three cases, their departures became significant subplots in the overall story line. Driving part way to an airport does not meet any contractual obligation I can imagine.

I think that wrong. If she dropped out when she was @ the airport how did they get a replacement so fast?

I can't wait to see some of the Brooklyn cast on this challenge. I wonder who will show up.

Even though she looks small she is a spitfire. I'm sure she would not back down from a duel and she is definately loyal to her friends so anyone she is aligned with would definately have her back. I would also love to see Alton on another challenge. I can appreciate his athleticism and general good guy image. I would also like to see Abe compete in a full challenge cause I know he brings it anytime he is on one of these shows.

There isn't really anyone from the Brooklyn cast that I wanna see on a challenge. I hope Briana does one... Trisha too.
